Firebirth Hill Firebirth Hill was once a tragic story of a raging forest fire that destroyed most of the forest habitat around the hilly terrain. A long time has past since then, and now the destruction from the past has made a foundation for the future. The ashes and remains of the old plants and trees have become priceless fertilization that has given root to thousands of blueberry bushes, ferns, and saplings. This area is frequented by bears seaking out the blueberries, but if deer keep their distance, both can enjoy the treat in peace.

Croaking Wetlands This marsh area is home to a lot of bullfrogs in warmer months, hence the name, but it is also home to various species of ducks who also do not have the most pleasant of voices. The Croaking Wetlands play a vital part in the health of the area, filtering the water that sustains all life and providing habitat for many animals. Large predators are not too fond of this area, their shorter legs not built for navigating muck and water, but the deer find this place to be not only safe, but an excellent area to dine on moist grasses.

Halfmoon Range Halfmoon Range is a short range of mountains with steep and treacherous slops. It is less the mountains than what their shape creates that attracts the deer here: their semi-circular orientation has made a beautiful and flat valley, a meadow of sorts with long flowing grasses and surrounded with a shelter-providing woodline at base of the mountain range. Despite this being a prime feeding spot, predators are not often spotted here, but up the mountains there are cougars just waiting for an exploring deer.

Birch Thicket This brushwood is the beginning of what will become a lush birch forest. For now it is a collection of saplings and dense bushes that provides a lot of shelter for deer to rest in. It was once proposed that this area be named The Foxwood, because the area is swarming with red foxes that have found not only many good denning sites, but many small prey animals such as rabbits and squirrels as well. During cold months and even during the warmer ones, the tender bark of the fledgling birch trees are a delicious meal.

Garrison Mountain This mountain is so named because the base is the primary source of shelter for the herd. Surrounding the mountain and even trailing up its sides is an old growth pine forest, whose trees are thick and towering, providing shade from the sun, a canopy against the rain or snow, and a barricade against the wind. The mountain is table-topped, flat and with scarce vegetation except for rough bushes and grass. It's slopes are mostly gentle, but there are areas where the mountain side is rough and jagged, fit for a goat but perhaps not for a deer.

Draconia Lake The herd adopted Draconia Lake as its name because their central gathering spot is a small island in the middle of the lake connected to the main land by a land bridge. The lake itself gets its name from rumors that a water dragon lurks within in. Most sightings were reported during the morning when the lake is known to be covered in fog. Even without the water dragon, Draconia Lake is quite remarkable. It's shallow around the edges, but endlessly deep in the middle, filled with schooling fish and bottom feeders. It's a crisp, clear source of refreshment.

Birdfeather Fields Birdfeather Fields is comprised of tall grasses and plants that provide good nesting grounds for small birds. A lot of feathers from these birds can be found strewn about the grasses, hence the field's name. Although there is not much protection here, a lot of deer favor the fields for grazing on the lush shoots, particularly around the scattered sinkholes of mud and water. Foxes are often seen hunting the small birds but it's the larger predators, who know that deer like to feed at these fields, that must be watched out for.

Brimstone Clearing Brimstone Clearing - One of the largest glades in Moth Underwood, Brimstone Clearing is completely flat and exposed to copious amounts of sunshine. The clearance is perfectly circular in shape, with a motley crowd of trees surrounding it. Ferns and other wild grasses grow to surprising heights within its interior and a myriad of streams dot the level area. Brimstone Clearing is a perfect place for hunting, fishing, and star gazing. Unlike the rest of Underwood, Brimstone's temperatures are consistently comfortable.

Moth Underwood Moth Underwood is an apt name for the sparse forest the identically named herd call home; night and day, moths circle the brushwood and infiltrate each cranny. Although most of the vegetation is short, very little sunlight falls through the enveloping canopies of trees, thus providing for a highly shaded and dark environment. The borders are marked by a long line of Spruce trees, many of which veil Underwood's shadowed territory. Because the area lacks light, the thicket is known to be regularly cool and sometimes windy.

The Badlands Although the Underwood is, generally, an inviting area there is a portion of its boundaries many consider "cursed". Set far away from much of the hubbub, The Badlands is clearly recognized by two weeping willow trees that stretch over one another in an arch, their branches nearly touching the forest floor. Beyond this point darkness encompasses every living thing, and from the viewpoint of an outsider looking in all one can see is shadows. At night many things are notorious for running rampant around these parts, and it isn't peculiar to hear the hoot of an owl or screech of a bat emitting from within. Nonetheless, this dark thicket is an intriguing place to explore - if you're sane enough....
