Well, the plot begins today so I’m going to start up a post involving it. It’s welcome to anyone, but no more than…. Oh, two or three other people? Yeah, sounds about good. Post may be a little bleh, I’m distracted while writing it, heh. But oh well. ^^ So viola, here we go.
Edit: One of those spots is saved for the Green-ness. ^^
Edit Again: And another one saved there for Lorcan. One more spot open if anyone else wants to join in. And i'll edit once again and strike all that. No more people, please. Yay for us four, heh. ^^

Boy did he hate the heat. That was one of the things about summer that the ebony Zeta couldn’t stand. Some days it was better than others, but that depended on the most part on his location throughout the Salvajes. Up on Mount Shadow he could laze around in his den on the hotter afternoons, hiding from the sneaking rays of the sun that seemed like their sole purpose was to blaze down upon him. But once he was out and about around home the dark rock face only helped the scorching heat to radiate through the territory. Sure, there were a lot of breezes that whistled by, but the hot air still remained. So today he took it on himself to take a walk down to White Rose Lake. He’d been down that way the day before to check out the weather, just a quick trip and a bath to follow. With how much he’d been sweating lately he had needed one, that was for sure.
So here he was again today, meandering down across the flat land and weaving through the brush as he made his way to the lake. A nice cool drink would be soothing, and maybe it would help the minor headache that had started to creep up in the depths of his temple. Another thing that annoyed him – headaches. If only he knew more about medicine, because if he recalled correctly there were a few simple remedies for a tiny headache. It was amazing how the simplest of plants and other things around you in the living world held such properties. Sometimes it was things you would least expect. That was just another one of nature’s puzzles.
Nearly at the shore, he slowed his pace and inhaled deeply, enjoying the more husky scent of the land that came on summers wings. Closing his eyes, he took the time to savor the moment.
“Hmmm,” he exhaled loudly, coral colored tongue sneaking out the side of his obsidian lips and draping rather casually out of his mouth. Today he was going to relax down here at the lakeside. Hiding from the heat and probably taking a good long nap. Maybe even a swim later if he felt like it. Grinning to himself, he began moving forward again on his way to the lake.

OUT OF CHARACTER
>:O The computer ATE my first post, dammit. xx (okay, more like I accidently slipped and closed the tab I was writing it in -- BUT STILL) So, yeah, this one sucks. BECAUSE I'M MAD NOW.
INSIDE CHARACTER
It probably could have been the most beautiful, temperate, impossible day of utterly perfect weather and Kioko wouldn't have noticed it in the slighest — she was more concerned with how the trees and plantlife alike seemed to multiplying before her very eyes. She swore, there were twice as many trees here as there had been last time. What was it trying to do — cage in her or something? Honestly, hadn't she been through enough the past few days, what with the bouts of nausea and dizziness, the headaches, the confusion? Was this place determined to torture her even more than the illness already was? Of all days, though. Couldn't it have done this yesterday or the day before, when the illness had been merely an undertone to her usual cheer? No, of course not; it had to choose the absolute worst day possible to make the copse — which really looked a great deal more like a forest now — evil. Why did everything have to be out to get her, these days? First the ground, then the squirrels, and now this. Was the world just determined to put the grey teen down? It was bad enough that it had to be spinning like a top around her, but now it had to be evil too. Seriously, what had she done to deserve this; or was she just yet another innocent victim of the universe's wrath? It had certainly been that with the ground, and the with the squirrels. Sure, she walked on the ground and ate squirrels for breakfast, but so did everybody else! It was just downright spiteful to choose only one wolf to pick on — spread the blame evenly between a bunch of them, don't just place it squarely on one wolf's shoulders? That just wasn't fair. Of course, life wasn't either, so it all made sense then, now didn't it?
Tree. Ouch. Kioko fell backwards on her behind, moving a benign paw up to rub the spot where her skull had collided with the hard obstacle that was a tree. Was it her fault that she hadn't been able to tell which of double vision trees was real? To her, they both looked exactly the same, so how was she supposed to figure out which was the actual one? It could have made itself a bit more obvoius, after all. If it had been translucent or something, then she could have figured out that it wasn't the real tree. To the silver adolescent's misfortune, however, the two trees had the bad luck — or good luck, depending on how you looked at it — of being completely identical. The Kappa whimpered softly as the throbbing of her head was added to the list of aches the world had decided to bring upon her this very day. Speaking of which, the trees suddenly chose this moment to swim and spin dizzily about the wolfess, and Kioko had to squeeze her golden optics shut for the relief that only sweet darkness brought. Nothing could sway and multiply here, in this relam of nothing. If there were a time the femme had wished she was blind, this was certainly it. At the very least, she longed for the blissful indifference of sleep, no matter how she knew it would not come and how she could not take it. Lack of sleep had been torturing the teen lately, though whether it was because of her illness or was just lending to it she had no idea. All she was that, whichever way it went, sleep and her illness had teamed up against her to cause as much misery within the teen as possible. Clearly that, the Takahasi girl mused, was the true nature of the world — cruel, unforgiving. So what option did that leave save for to battle it head-on (not literally, of course — her skull was still in quite a bit of pain from that tree) and win? None; that was the answer. In that spirit, Kioko cracked her honey eyes open a notch, relieved to see that the world was no longer spinning around her and that her vision had (for the most part) split back into single vision. Of course, that was all liable to change and, in fact, did as the girl heaved herself to her paws; the world returning to it's former state, minus the awful spinning. It was as it had been before the attack of spinning — dizzy, double, but survivable nevertheless.
There were four dark wolves. No, wait, two dark wolves if her double vision held true. Shooting a quick glance downwards, the femme ascertained that such was still true, as she appeared to have four paws in the front. Padding lopsidely towards the couple, (her dizziness had not totally abated, merely lessened slightly) Kioko attempted to put forth some pattern of recognition on four... erm two... wolves, but found that she did not recognize them or remember them, if she had met them before. Hey, she might have — her memory had just about gone today, and she'd not remembered at first where (or even who) she was this morning upon awakening, which had been odd, to say the least. Sure, she'd heard of disorientation after waking up, but to forget oneself completely? That couldn't be healthy and probably wasn't, since chances were the partail amnesia was being caused by the illness which, by definition, wasn't healthy.
"'Lo." The salt-and-pepper adolescent murmured vaugely, plopping herself down by the other two wolves, who still looked, for all the world, like four to her. It wasn't long before a fifth and sixth wolf — okay, thrid — joined their small company, an alabaster with bright veridian eyes that Kioko had the inkling she'd met before. Oh, those eyes, those eyes; she was certain she knew them. Curiously regarding the snowy wolf in front of her, the youth racked her brains to come up with the answer to as where she'd met this Strawberry before. Oddly enough, looking at him gave her an image of climbing trees and Wild Fire Forest... "Green!" The female voiced her friend's name aloud, remembering in a moment of clarity who the green-eyed wolf was. Even better, the 'moment of clarity' decided to linger in her mind for a bit, finally putting everything into much needed focus as the world ceased spinning around her. (though the doubles remained, as clear as ever) Finally, the eye of the storm. The break from raging dizziness, nausea, and confusion was much needed, despite the fact that she was still seeing doubles, was still exhausted from lack of sleep, and still had a throbbing head from where the top of her anatomy had gone on a crash course of head bumping with trees. "No worries," She replied, giggling slightly. "I just about forgot who you were entirely."

Meandering through the small copse that so gracefully outlined the lake before tapering into a clearing, Green felt a tad lost. He'd been feeling slightly under the weather lately- nothing much, just a bit of dizziness and the occasional nausea. It came and went as it pleased, much to his displeasure, and had been weaving in and out of his consciousness for a few days now. Sometimes it was worse and sometimes but an undertone to his usual exuberance. Today was for poorer. Vibrant eyes danced with a lackluster gleam across the seeming unfamiliar trees as the wolf tried to navigate himself to the lake. Water was good on a hot day- unfortunately, it was eluding him with skillful indifference.
Long, lanky limbs were working against him as well, becoming even more awkward and uncoordinated in the heat- being partially arctic, although Green hardly knew it, heat was one of his biggest enemies. That paired with the world's choice to spin around him was simply spiteful. Large paws twisted and cross-fired, and the wolf slipped and skidded until the forest dwindled to the sporadic elm and opened up to the lake, winking with sunlit effulgence. Blinking and shying away from the brightness, the white behemoth plopped himself beneath a tree erratically, his tail getting crunched beneath his bottom. Yelping his surprise, the Delta lept to his feet quickly, only to find that they felt like a gelatinous ooze.
He was sick- this he knew. Atleast the wolf had kept conscious thought of this- and surely it would clear up in a few more days. Carefully situating himself again so he was sitting properly, the wolf slowly streched until his feathered stomach was pressed against the ground, vibrant pools of phosphorescant malachite shaded as Green rested. He groaned quietly- five minutes and the wolf around felt a mite better than he had. He was now seeing but double, not triple! A definate improvement. Smirking slightly, trying to distill the slight diziness, the jaded Delta heard sounds near the lake, and through squinted eyes tried to make out the figures.
The vague outline of a two black creatures and a femme who resembled his mate met his glance, and a grin spread across his features, his tail wagging haphazardly behind him. Rolling timorously to his feet, the ivory behemoth trod awkwardly towards the trio, seating himself (oh so carefully) near their congregation. G'afternoon. The wolf murmured in a more placid tone than usual, leaning forwards slightly to examine the grey wolf with interest. Ah- no luck. Angling his head to the side, Green smirked lopsidedly, yawning. Sorry Kioko. Thought you were someone else. He muttered under his breath, ears tucking back on his head as he waited a response.

ooc - not that great... hopefully it makes sense..i'm soo damn tired Little did the obsidian male know that he had just begun the mild sickness that came from drinking from the streams. However Lorcan was the caregiver type , and had always been so when the time came unknowingly at this time he'd be there to help out as much as possible. For now a small romp through the White Rose Forest would do the raven eta some good. Perhaps, Lorcan would be lucky enough to make some new friends. Life was pleasant and peaceful as usual except the small tad of nausua and his mild headache. Sinstra had found him acting like a crazy rouge in the valley not all that long ago, so perhaps he was better now. Lorcan hadn't had a daymare for a couple of days. Things were changing through out the entire Salvajes, and he was amongst the many who were experencing it. The previous day with Sinstra had been quite nerve racking. Lobes perked forward curiously towards the sound of other wolves, who one looked quite ill. Queitly he edged closer and took a seat. A small smile krept across his labrums.
As his stomache quenched he groaned miserbly before glancing in their direction. Soft words flowed through his parted jowls, although they hinted illness. hello everyone I hope you don't mind some company and if so let me know. He paused briefly before adding one more thing. is it just me or is everyone around here getting sick from something. It is rather strange, and oh yeah I'm Lorcan from Nova mountain. The obsidian painted masculine wasn't that ill, but it was bad enough it was slightly over mild for the time being and pretty damn uncomfortable. Feeling quite lethargic, he decided to lower himself to the ground with the others, unless they told him to leave. If they decided to do something he would probably force himself, unless something changed his mind within the time frame. For now the male lay quietly waiting for a response of some sort, after all he had waited till the others had finished speaking.

First post with new set and table, w00t w00t! ^^
in this lifetime it better be the right time the first time might be your last time
Admiring the day for what it was (besides a scorcher), the obsidian male lowered his head to the crisp lake water and began to drink. He was thirsty, that was for sure. And what better to quench a parched tongue than some nice cool water placed in a lake right before your paws. One of his dark ears flickered uncertainly as he continued, picking up noises in the distance. It sounded like footsteps, though he couldn’t be sure over the sounds he was making himself. Pausing, Element cast a glance over his shoulder. At first nothing caught his attention, and then through the tree’s emerged a fellow wolf. A fellow with a brilliant white coat, and eyes so vibrant Element could see them even from this distance. Yet, the dark Shadower had a strange inkling he knew this approaching wolf. Faintly, but the remembrance was there somewhere.
Before he could place the wolf entirely, there were more footsteps in the distance. Not to mention a muffled thud he could swear he heard in the cover of the trees. Cocking his head at the sound, his gray eyed gaze remained plastered on the tree line behind the shore. Sure enough, another figure came forward. This time it was a female, and she seemed to be having some trouble with her coordination today. Her pace was wiry, her trail swerving constantly a few steps out of line. She seemed dizzy, and he was probably right on the assumption. Either way, she reached the other two just fine and made her spot beside them. He had to admit, company would be nice today. These other two seemed like they enjoyed the prospect as well.
He finished lapping up his drink, and then turned to the others with a smile.
“Element,”
he introduced with a nod of his head.
“From Mount Shadow.”
Faintly, in the back of his mind he noted some weird quality that seemed to taint the usual crisp flavor of the lake. Some odd taste that he could barely pick up on the taste buds of his tongue. Dismissing it as nothing and barely giving the idea a second thought, the male continued. Even as he was speaking another male had come forward, a darker coated wolf like himself. Giving a friendly nod to the newcomer, Element figured he had heard his words already.
“Company sounds like a good idea to me,”
he responded, smiling. Lorcan’s word’s intrigued Element, and he considered them with interest.
“You know, you’re right. I’ve had a little bit of a headache – I can’t call it sick, per say, but its enough to be annoying.”
Scanning over the group, he couldn’t say the same for the others. There was a particular sheen in the alabaster male’s eyes, and a rather pained and glassy look in the females. Was something really going around the Salvajes? “How’re you all faring?”

OUT OF CHARACTER
MUST WRITE FAAAST. o:
INSIDE CHARACTER
Element, hm? Odd, she could have sworn she'd heard that name before somewhere, almost like she'd met the wolf, yet hadn't. The salt-and-pepper teen cocked her head curiously as she gazed at the ebony wolf before her, confusion alighting in her honey orbs. "Element?" She questioned faintly, still regarding the dark male curiously. "I haven't met you before, have I? I seem to recall having heard of you before..." Oh, it was on the tip of her tounge, she just knew it! Narrowing her eyes in frustration, the femme stared all the harder at the Zeta, as though that would somehow spark her memory. Honestly, she could just swear that she'd heard of him before, but from who? Wasn't he someone's mate that she knew? Argh; this was so frustrating! Why wouldn't her stupid mind in tune today, instead of flickering in and out of it like a badly wired television? It was all the fault of whatever this illness was, probably, but whatever the cause, it was sure ticking the female off! Honestly, remembering had never presented much of a problem to her before — clumsiness, maybe, but never flat out forgetting half of what went on in her life. This was just abnormal, and, like all of today, the illness was probably to blame. (the world, of course, chose this exact moment to briefly spin around her again) Squeezing her eyes shut in what was partly frustration, and partly desire to stop the spinning, Kioko delved deep into her own mind to try and find the answer as to where she knew Element from, but to no avail. The memory was firmly locked behind whatever barricade was keeping most of the rest of her memories back.
"Uh... right. Kioko of... uhm... Mount Shadow." The Takahasi girl's voice had a bit of a spacey quality to it as she answered, as though the femme had been having trouble remembering exactly who the hell she was. (which, in fact, was partially true, as remembering what pack she had been had been a bit of a struggle) However, for now, she at least seemed to retain — if somewhat distantly — memories of her identity, and got through the introduction well enough. Unfortunately, even with that done, it left her with yet another question to answer: how she'd be fairing lately with the illness. Wow, were other wolves getting sick too, just like her? Honestly, the grey teen had been so out of it the past few days that she'd hardly noticed how everybody else was, but when she focused on it now, the female did realize that Green sounded (and looked) a bit ill as well, and she vaugely remembered some other members of Mount Shadow lazing around resting and not looking so well. Well, seemed like this mystery disease was taking a piece out of each of them.
"I dunno; not so great, I guess. My memory's gone to the dogs, not to mention everything keeps on spinning and I see six of you, not three..." She trailed off again, once again focusing all here currently meager brain power on trying to remember where she knew Element from. Certainly, she'd at least heard his name a few times, and from some wolf she knew well too. Yes, wasn't he the mate of one of her friends? "Uh... Element, you don't happen to have a mate, do you? I think I might know her... maybe. At least, I'm sure I've heard of you somewhere, and I think I heard you had a mate or... something." Oh boy, was this ever confusing; now she was just suceeding in confusing herself even more. Did Element have mate at all, or was it just her mind making up more rambling little concepts? It had been doing a fair bit of that lately, after all, as though idiotic notions could replace real memories. The adolescent snorted quietly, just about fed up with this bloody illness stuff. Why wouldn't it just go away and leave her — and the rest of the Salvajes — alone? The irony in all this? That had to be the best question she'd thought up all day.

*flails* i'm being slow. sorry. =X
|

A half-hearted, slightly bewildered chuckle escaped the normally exuberant wolf's mouth like a sour chord, chiming into the disonant orchestra, strange and unexpected. Nodding vaguely (more like dipping the very end of his nose up and down so as not to aggrivate his dizziness) Green smirked lopsidedly. At the next set of letters, strung together in the form of words, thrown at him, the ivory Delta nodded sullenly. Aye, I am feeling a bit under the weather. Green responded, the lack of odd jokes and other such nonsensical Green-isms slightly disturbing. It came and went, though, and often Green felt like his old self for a day or so. His wet nose gave a little wrinkle before his face went blank again.
It was odd that three- four? -wolves out of four would be feeling ill. It was, as Green had thought, likely some kind of flu or severe cold with a variety of symptoms striking the Salvaje left and right. It would probably fade in a few days or so, right? Right. The ivory behemoth lurched with a quite groan to his feet, large paws padding with less coodination than usual (which was saying something) closer to the lake and he dipped his velveteen muzzle into the lucid depths. His tongue lapped languidly at the unusually stale taste of the normally crisp water, but dismissed the thought as another side effect of his sickness. His thick tail flickered behind him before he pulled up, turning around where he was and sitting down.
Maldicion! The mental curse was issued as bright eyes shifted fleetingly upwards, only to be met by the ever-watchful, ever-bright orb of fiery effulgence above- also know as: the sun. His slender maw tucked instantly into his chest, shielding his eyes from the light. Without saying anything, the quirky creature rolled to his feet and seated himself on the other side of the congregation, careful not to crush his tail. Again. It seemed however long ago Element and Kioko had spoken, the words had finally dawned on Green, and nudging Kioko's shoulder tentatively, the Delta smirked. He does have a mate- Kiriana, aye? Green answered for Element, sure that he was right. He'd met her- the femme had had inspiration to be a Lorekeeper at the time.
Green was slightly disheartened at no longer bearing the title of Lorekeeper next to his rank- he'd been quite pleased to remain the Epsilon and Lorekeeper until his dying day. However, apparently they'd felt it right to promote him and demote him at the same time- not that he wasn't grateful and honored to be a leader of his pack. Just resentful. And terribly, terribly dizzy.

ooc - sorry if iv'e annoyed anyone, and Green I did not you also played a coy ; I apologize.
For once a smile traced the ebon Tau's maw , and sleepily he yawned while those peircing azure hues danced upon the three other canines. Lobes flicked backwards as he felt a small sharp pain in his stomache. Lorcan had not been able to eat much the last several days, not enough to satisfy his hunger ; but he had enough in his system to survive. The elegant creature wished this suffering would just go away, and he was sure the others wished the same. It was rather odd that many creatures around the salvajes were falling ill, and not just the wolves but what the hell was causing this tramatic diaster. Lorcan had run across several dead things, and more than the usual amount. Death was something everyone feared, unless they just gave up on life. The male had almost done so , when he had lost everyone he had ever cared for the second time around in his life. A deep sigh sliped through his slightly parted jowls.
The raven beast was no where in the mood to be thinking of his past, but ever since that hallucination dream it seemed to pull at his insides twisting them inside out, and at the thought he felt the urge to vomit but instead he winced a bit at the glaring sun. The male stood shakily and headed off to a more shady spot near the three other wolves. Lorcan was sick of being sick and that was all there was to it. A question and a comment slipped through his closed mind, and the male decided he must acknowledge the facts here and now. Well guys if this is going to be serious , I guess we should try and help other creatures around the valley right ? I think I may only be slightly ill although it feels worse ...I have stumbled across worse on my way here this morning. It was really bad, has anyone else seen worse off than us Lorcan was defiantly worried about the entire situation and he wondered how much the others were and his icy cobalt gaze looked questiongly to each other canine. His expression remained miserable, but worried all at once.

Tweee. Poor wuffers.
in this lifetime it better be the right time the first time might be your last time
Element examined Kioko carefully after she addressed him, trying to figure out if he had indeed met her at some other point and time. He didn’t think so, but who knew where his mind was right now.
“I don’t think we’ve met, no.”
He replied, shaking his head.
“But I have heard your name before.”
In fact, he was pretty sure he’d heard Kiriana mention Kioko’s name before. The conversation moved onward, and Element turned to Green as he answered Kioko’s next question. Smiling, the dark male nodded.
“Right,”
he agreed.
“Yeah… me and Kiriana have been mates a couple months now.”
It was amazing how time seemed to fly. He couldn’t help but be a little disturbed by Kioko’s apparent confusion. It was borderline on loss of memory altogether. He eyed her carefully for a moment before returning to conversation.
Assessing everyone else with a careful eye as they all spoke in turn; it seemed all of them had symptoms to offer. Kioko was seeing double, not to mention being dizzy and forgetful. Green seemed lightheaded as well, and the distant look in the male’s vibrant jade eyes was similar in Lorcan’s deep indigo orbs. Also, it seemed every so often a pained look would strike through Lorcan’s gaze, a small cringe flickering through his posture. Element noted the fact lightly that he seemed to wince away from the light. Turning his own gray gaze towards the sun, he too in turn had to look away as a new pain flamed behind his eyes. It was obvious none of them were feeling up to usual weather.
The young male signed, shaking his head and clearing his thoughts. Something was definitely going around. Lorcan spoke up again next, and Element turned to listen with interest. He fellow dark coated male had a point.
“I’ll help whoever needs it, though I can’t say I’ve come across anyone other than us here doing any worse.”
He sounded and looked concerned.
“Who did you come across that was doing worse, if I may ask, Lorcan?”
Was it someone Element knew? A friend possibly? His nerves were already starting to get worked up. After this meeting he’d have to rush home and make sure his family was okay too. The young Shadower couldn’t afford having anything happen to them – they were his main priority.

INSIDE CHARACTER
"Kiriana!" The wolfess exclaimed, a look of recognition finally flickering in her dull, confused gaze. "Yes, I know her! She was the first wolf I ever met here — that's where I know your name from. I remember she's mentioned you a couple of times." Kioko nodded, a small grin replacing the usual cringe — her face was almost set in a permant cringe, what with illness now and the world spinning all the time — for at least a few moments. A dizzy spell again a few moments later quickly returned the pained look to her maw, however, and the female shook her head, partly at Lorcan's suggestion and partly just add the illness. Hah, like she'd be able to help anyone in her state. It'd be more like she'd end up hurting them or making their sickness worse or something dreadful like that. She was always doing klutzy things like that. The teen shook her head again, this tme more slowly, and spoke ruefully. "I doubt I'd be much help to any wolf, in my state. I'd probably just make it worse. If anything, I'll probably be one of those wolves you healthier ones are taking care of." A displeased look lingered upon her face now along with the pained cringe — the silver adolescent was regretful that she wouldn't be able to help out, and that she just had to be 'taken care of'. Of course she needed it, but it made her feel so useless and helpless. Kioko might have only been a teen, but she didn't like having just rely on others for everything without being able to help them back, which was basically what would end up happening if they started taking care of all the ill. Hopefully she'd get better quickly enough that she'd be able to help the other sick wolves.
"Really, you came across someone worse?" The Shadow female looked at him, surprised. So far, her and Green were the worse that she'd seen — who could possibly be doing worse than them? She'd already lost most of her memory, was being attacked by a perpetually spinning world, and was seeing double? How could you get any worse than she already was? Did you lose your memory entirely and forget who you were or something? Good lord, that'd be awful — imagine living with utterly no memory of who you were! Sure, her memory was bad now, but at least she remembered basic things like who she was and what pack she was in and whatnot. Basic, rudimentary things, but they were crucial to her nevertheless. "Who?" Concerned now, Kioko voiced the question aloud alongside Element's, though his was stated a great deal more eloquently than hers. Oh well, just so long as hers got the point across too. What if it was one of her friends that was doing really poorly, like Catori or Kiri or Gracie or Catori or... hold on, she'd just thought Catori's name twice, hadn't she? What was it with that Novian and popping up in her head all the time? It was getting seriously mystifying to the ashen teen, but she was in no mood to consider why right now. It was probably just a side effect of the illness or something. Major sickness caused you to think in strange ways, after all. It had made at least one wolf start believing they were a dragon.

i'm going to step out. i can't keep up, i'm sorry.

Green's head pounded. It wasn't that usual dull ache that lingered during the hotter months. Being mostly arctic, the ivory creature was quite prone to heat sickness and normally wandered around with a dull head ache or a stomach ache for most of the summer- he did have tactics of warding it off. Green was always busy doing something. Always making up new quirky cames to keep his mind busy, keep himself from thinking about the heat sinking into his thick coat. His eyes closed for a moment or two, trying to clear his head.
Obviously company was not one of his better ideas. White ears tucked onto his head, blocking out the droning chatter of the other three. By nature the wolf was quite a friendly soul and normally the life of the party. Today he felt quite the opposite- like crawling into a hole and dying. Vibrant eyes reopened slowly, and Green yawned. Dipping his head slightly in apology, the wolf smirked lop-sidedly. I...I'm sorry, friends. I have to go, I'm not feeling up to par...maybe some sleep. Green nodded to himself, dipping his head again to the others before rolling to his feet and ambling haphazardly towards the fields.
Yes, sleep was good.

I'm stepping out here too. Thanks for threading. ^^
He smiled at Kioko as she spoke of Kiriana, and couldn’t help but feel a little bit of pride hearing that she had spoken of him. The smile faded a bit at her following words, and Element spoke up quietly.
“Ah, hopefully it’ll just pass in a little while. You should probably feel fine in a couple days.”
Of course, he didn’t know if that was true or not, but felt it was the right thing to say. How long could this possibly last anyway? Any cold he’d had before had only stuck with him a few days, never more than a week at most. This was probably something quite like that, and everyone just needed to take their time and get some good rest. The idea of good rest was starting to become quite ideal. His gray eyed gaze switched to Green as the white Fielder spoke up, voicing the thoughts that had been flowing through Element’s mind.
“I think Green’s got the best idea…”
Element agreed, rising slowly to his feet and closing his eyes tightly when his headache argued with the movement.
“I hope none of you mind, but sleep starting to sound like a great idea. I should go check on my family too.”
Kiriana and Akeboshi had seemed fine when he left, but the Zeta wanted to make sure either way.
“I’ll see you all some other time then? Lorcan, Kioko, nice meeting you.”
He dipped his head to them with a smile, then turned his body around, trudging slowly back home to Mount Shadow in the distance.

Since Lorcan doesn't seem to be replying, I'll just get Kioko out of her too and report that the thread's finished. |

As the world did an unexpected 360°, Kioko reeled, the pounding in her head increasing tenfold. The world spun dizzily around her, blurred shapes becoming the most of anything she could see. Vaugely, the grey femme was aware of the two white, phosphorescent-eyed things leaving with a few words, followed by the two black ones. Or, rather Green and Element each leaving, as their singular forms had quickly multiplied to two, now blurry, blobs in Kioko's vision. The other black one also appeared to be leaving, and so, having no desire to be left all alone by herself in this strange place, the salt-and-pepper teen got shakily to her paws, upon which she promptly toppled back down onto her butt. Well, this could be problematic. If she couldn't even stand, the chances of her getting out of this place with the infected water were hardly better than none.
A second attempt to stand suceeded, and the Takahasi girl stood there, wobbly, for a second before taking a small step forwards. Through some miracle, she managed to retain her standing position and began taking a few more small steps forwards, away from the Lake. Eventually, as the dizzy spell passed, those baby steps progressed into careful trot, as the ashen Kappa put distance between herself and the accursed Lake behind her. She was heading, hopefully, in what was the general direction of her home, Mount Shadow, though how long that would last was quite unknown. With her luck, she probably would bumble into Nova Mountain by the end of the day, thinking it to be her own mountain. Oh well. Wherever she ended up, at least she'd been able to rest.
Rest was good.
