Um… not the best post, but yeah. >.< I’m not always the best at starting threads. Open to any two others. ^^

Whisper Forest, one of the few places throughout all of the Salvajes Element had not yet been to and had the chance to explore. In fact, all the areas surrounding Nova Mountain he hadn’t come by to much. Not compared to all the other places he enjoyed taking a stroll through. Sunflower Meadow was the only place he’d seen that could be considered as the neighboring territories, and that had just been a short little romp with Kiriana after the two talked. As for the towering mountain itself, the fellow mount dweller was yet to climb its ragged slopes. Maybe some other day when he had a particular invite to do so. For now, he wasn’t keen on getting to far up and realizing he’d long passed the borders. Wouldn’t be the greatest first impression, and definitely wouldn’t be the most fun. That’s what exploring was all about – the fun. And even though he was out of his pup hood and growing older, the ebony Zeta still loved to have fun.
Of course… he also loved to be lazy. That was the basic idea of today.
Nestled comfortably beneath the dark canopy of the surrounding trees, Element slept peacefully at the base of one of the gentle giants. It was a light sleep, barely classified as that. He could faintly here the soft noise of the environment as he wandered to and fro from the land of dreams and the land of reality. It was comfortable, being able to curl up in the cool shade and escape the heat for another day. There was nothing like being able to sit back and relax away from it all, to just drop the responsibilities and regular lifestyle for a day and do absolutely nothing. He hadn’t had one of those full days in a long time, so the youthful male had figured why not? Nothing new had risen in Mount Shadow that he needed to be present for, so all the more reason to take a day off. And here he was enjoying every bit of it.
A yawn escaped his parted lips as he started to come around, opening his gray eyes back to the world before him. He’d slipped into a dream that time, and momentarily it replayed in his mind before it was washed away with the wind. Releasing another pent up yawn the male shifted his positions, rolling onto his back and stretching out much like a cat. Paws in the air, neck tilted back and belly exposed, he grinded his back against the forest floor a few times to satisfy and itch, stopping only when the dust he was stirring up caused him to sneeze. That didn’t phase Element though, right now he had not a care in the world.

I claim thee spot. Should have a reply up momentarily, most likely early this morning. Posted! |

The trees were recognizable, the smell, even more so than the trees, and the bit of debri, they were remembered as well, tangled within his coat as he rumped and galloped through the lands as though he were a pup. Yeah, the memory was still fresh within his mind, so much it caused the Mexican to smile with satisfaction, it was nothing but a couple months ago when he had been here, trampling through the lands along side his mate while they, within time, exposed enough information to call themselves mates, and Kimoto himself had fallen into a depression. Yup, this was exactly the spot of land where Kimoto had heard of the terrible news, and turned into the grumpy male he so deseperately didn't want to be. This was the exact place he had lost so much, and gained -though more than usual- so little. Yes, the male remembered Whisper Forest as though it were yesterday, and enjoyed the view as he had when he'd first trampled there. It was quiet, beautiful, and vast, and the male wanted nothing more than to revisit that event and have it play as it had in his head a million times -without the cause of depression of course- but even that sounded ludicris, the male couldn't go back in time, no matter how badly he wanted to, and instead allowed his paws to fall deeply within the fauna, grasses parted to the weight of his body as he made his way deeper into the neutral land, until, finally content, the male stopped, eyes focusing on that of a relaxed black wolf.
He expected, with time, he'd run into another wolf, have a conversation, possibly gain a friend, and leave happy. At least thats what always happened when the male traveled to a spot of land, and with this idea buried deep, he continued forth, head cocking to the side as he, with amusment, watched the male itch himself within the grasses, he favored doing that as well, when he became lazy of course, but today the male was refreshed, and ready for the world as he silently cleared his throat, and spoke up "Nice day out eh? he questioned Element, ears lying flat on his skull as his tail swayed, signalling his friendliness, as he continued "My name is Kimoto, I'm from the lands of Silver Creek, you mind if I join you? he finished, head cocking to the side once more while he waited his answer. |

The two people I've been wanting a thread with. :) ________________________ The stark inviting tree line of Whisper Forest could easily be seen from the sandy porch of the Phase family den and Siaqi often found that its invitation on most days was certainly too difficult to resist. Every time she had let her paws cross the borders that separated the portions of Lower Nova into the dense tree-line of the Forest, a sense of peace would always wash over her tense and wary form and she’d find whatever occupied her mind was consequently left behind, for a time.
Today was one such day where the inner workings of her mind was such a bother that Siaqi couldn’t lend herself to any task expected of her. Without purposefully and actively thinking of topic after topic to keep her mind occupied, she’d slide into mental disquiet and those problems would start to gnaw freely at the fabrics of her reality. At first, after the active thinking had failed to keep her inner voice at bay, she’d sought refuge in conversation – but no one had been around to indulge her.
So, as a last ditch effort the female had turned to the quieting aide of Whisper Forest as it had crept into her peripheral vision (just when Siaqi edged on desperation) to remind her of the calming effects it had always offered before and would offer once again. The effect of slipping under those extended boughs had had all those previous instances, once again swept over her in what an almost freakish instilment of calm. The faint gloom that Forests always had about them, coupled with the cool atmosphere – where the sun had been filtered through the clutching verdant branches – was equally as pleasant.
Fluidly walking through the tall trunks arranged naturally across the forest floor, the female soon became aware of a voice filtering through the naturally occurring silence. "Nice day out eh?" Her silver-lashed ears instantly preened atop her star-spangled crown and it was during a sweep of her cadmium blues that the contrast of fur stood out from the bark and other vegetation, surprisingly closer than she would have first guessed. Edging closer to the pair of wolves, her poise as ever neutral as it would go, the female paused on the edges, hesitant to encroach further on their somewhat private appearing meeting.

Awwwr, I was wanted in a thread with you? Yay! Lol.
in this lifetime it better be the right time the first time might be your last time
Staring up through the canopy through his unsettled cloud of dust, Element’s dark ears twitched atop his head as a faint noise came to them. It sounded like footsteps – someone casually wandering through the forests just as he had been moments before. As he reminisced the noise was matched in his head definitely to that of footsteps, and from the sound of it now someone much closer than Element had expected. A bit embarrassed to be caught splayed out in such a defenseless position, he flipped quickly to his belly, and rose to his feet just as another male came clearly into the picture. He probably hadn’t been quick enough from the other’s eyes, but that meant little to the obsidian male. He greeted the other in a friendly fashion, matching the own male’s displays. A friendly wag of his tail and a casual posture.
“Yeah, its great here in the shade.”
Noticing he was still covered in dust, the younger male chuckled.
“Dust bath… you know? I heard it helps the complexion,”
he joked, rolling his gray eyes and grinning at the stranger before him. “I’m Element, from Mount Shadow.”
He had come a fair ways, but so had the Creek wolf.
“I don’t mind at all, sounds good to me.”
He never minded some nice company, or a chance to possibly make a new friend. Talking and relating was always good, and it seemed that you always had something to learn from someone else. Scanning over the male, Element knew he hadn’t met him before, and even the name presented, Kimoto, didn’t quite ring a bell. But he was from Silver Creek, a place Element also enjoyed to spend hot summer days down by Sparkling Springs or the surrounding areas. He’d just been there the other day, in fact. It seemed every pack territory in all the Salvajes Valley had some great quality to offer; some magnificent find that was unique to its own location. Whether it be beautiful surroundings or a view across the whole lands, plentiful water sources or abundant food, kind neighbors and friendly pack mates, it was all spread out in such a way that the entire valley had a little taste of everything. Just the way Element liked it.
Glad to have someone to converse with on this fine day, the smile remained on the males face. He was about to open his mouth to speak when another faint crackle of the underbrush reached his sensitive ears, and they swiveled to the noise. His eyes picked nothing up beyond the trees, but he kept his gaze swerving across the terrain for a moment longer. Finally, with a shrug of dismissal he turned back to Kimoto.
“So what brings you here this fine afternoon?”

| What! You wanted a thread with me as well? Today must be a lucky day ^^, I hope you don't mind I add a bit of the boardwide plot into the thread, he'll only show minor signs now, probably nothing more than what he now. |

In the midst of Whisper Forest, the male felt at ease, happy and eager to be meeting yet another member of the vast valleys. Eyes widening, a smile crept to his face as he watched the male lay upright onto his belly, possibly from a sense of caution felt when meeting yet another wolf, while Kimoto, ears perking atop his head, allowed a moment to pass as he listened to the words of Element. Never before had the male heard of a good dust bath, rather he prefered taking a quick dip, or maybe trampling in mud -on very rare occasions of course, yet simply rolling around in dust wasn't enough for Kimoto, though what he considered to be useless could downright be heavenly to another, the reason he nodded, a grin coming to his face as he spoke "I guess, yet I heard mud keeps you looking young" with those words he settled down onto his belly, forepaws folding neatly in front of him while he yawned deeply, ears finally sleeping, -only to be alerted once more shortly, "Element eh? Intresting name, strange I've never met you before though... are you new to Mount Shadow?" he asked with plenty of curiousity, finding it hard to believe that he'd never, in all this time, laid eyes on this male before.
As if the future could be told, his ears perked hearing the rustling of underbrush. Tail stiffening, he felt a tinge of anger fill through him, someone was following him, possibly his mother Harmony, traveling to the lands to spy on him and destroy everything he'd established! Or, that damned Herone, his brother whom he hadn't cared much for since birth, what he wouldn't love to do but make Kimoto's life misrable. Shaking back these thoughts, the male breathed deeply, his tongue awfully dry today, rather it'd been dry like this for a couple days now, yet he figured it because of the sun's heat, he'd often taken stops to quinch his thirst, finding himself at numerous times near the likes of Sterling Waters, drinking from it's chilling waves often times than wanted, though a drink was a drink, no matter how strange it often felt falling down his throat. Clearing his throat, and forgetting his parched tongue, he gazed toward Element a moment, searching for the perfect words to answer his question, before he answered "Nothing much, just trying to settle my nerves from these die hard summer rays. Weather been treating you well?" he asked, silent a moment, though in the back of his mind he waited the moment when his dreded family would emerge. |

I did. :) & I don't mind at all, Kimoto. ________________________ It had not been her intentions to appear as a spy on the edgings of Element and Kimoto’s exchange, but in an unexpected twist, they had not seen or scented her. Given that her pelt was a stark white against the otherwise browns, greens and blacks of the natural forest, it wasn’t the easiest to conceal – unless there was snow swirling in the air or likewise coating the ground. Considering that they were currently in the heights of summer, it was highly unlikely that was the reasoning for her unintentional cover not being blown.
Yet, considering that she had this advantage of sorts, the female didn’t do anything further than listen and watch the two for a brief time longer. Although, the likelihood of hostile wolves would be in the valley (in fact, had she ever encountered one?) one could never be too careful and knowing Siaqi’s usual streaks of luck, these two would be the most rabid and… war-crazy wolves ever to be come across!
Okay, okay, maybe her mind was beginning to run away from her and besides the occasional stiffening of either wolf in response to the rustling caused by her no doubt, there was little to indicate the content of her previous thought train. So, taking a deep breath – just for the sake of it – the pallid pelted female stepped from the verdant coverage of her hiding place, smiling as her bodice took a friendly and neutral stance. Keeping a respectful distance from both of them, she nodded her headpiece, adding, "Hello," She flicked her blues from one male to the other, wagging her tail slowly behind her sinewy quarters, "I hope I’m not interrupting anything?"

I'm in a bit of a rush, so excuse the post quality. >.< But, congrats on the promotion, Siaqi. ^^

It had been a fairly long time in his mind since the peppered male had introduced himself as a newcomer to Mount Shadow. He’d been here in the Salvajes over half a year now.
“Nope, not really. I’ve been here… about seven months, actually.”
And what a long time that felt like to him. He was young, trampling into the Salvajes when he had just turned about a year old.
“I’ve been a member of Mount Shadow the whole time,”
he added, just for extra detail. He knew of some wolves that had been in the lands a long period of time but had switched over between packs during that. That never had struck interest in the male. He was so content with his current home he could never dream of switching.
“How about you?”
Element questioned to Kimoto.
“Have you been here in the valley a while?”
As the brush had crackled Kimoto had noticed it too, both of the males turning and investigating the sound before returning to their conversations.
“Summer… it’s a pain sometimes, that’s for sure. I’ve never really been too fond of the heat. Especially these past few-”
He stopped mid sentence, turning back to the brush as something moved within it again. This time, his eyes settled upon an ivory figure, a female emerging from just the same area he’d cast his glance over before.
“-Days.”
Element finished, now eyeing the newcomer. A friendly smile covered her features, and Element mirrored the same expression. He didn’t mind someone else approaching and joining in.
She spoke softly, addressing the two.
“Oh, no. Nothing really. Just a little chit chat.”
Still smiling, Element turned momentarily to Kimoto, hoping the other male didn’t mind either.
“I’m Element, by the way.”
He added the last bit just in case she hadn’t heard the previous introductions.
“Escaping from the heat too?”

Could the male actually recall the day he had traveled to these lands, and become an official member to Silver Creek? Naw, it was much to long ago for his elder mind to remember, possibly seven months as well, or maybe eight? Nine? Yeah, that sounded almost right, he had ventured here when the winds were turning there chilling ways, and the snow was gaining it's grand entrance before finally showing it's self. November! Oh yes, now he remembered, he had came her in the midst of the winter months, his spirit broken and his bodice tired. He wanted civilization, and this is exactly what he got, including a heart warming home, and friends to boot.
"Really? I've been a member to Silver Creek for nine months starting the Twenty Third of this month it almost surprised him how accuratly he was while he spoke, Element continueing on about the pain of Summer. "Yeah, I hear you. I'm waiting for the fall to come, that way the temperatures just right, and the colors are catching to the eye" he finished, noticing the figure of Siaqi as well. A sigh of relief emitted at the appearance of the female, as long as she wasn't a kin to him, he felt her presence was welcomed.
"Oh no, your not interupting anything, we were just exchanging our views of the seasons... he spoke, head nodding as he too introduced himself to the female "And you may call me Kimoto, from the lands of Silver Creek" he answered, pushing back the thoughts of his thirst as he continued "You have any out put about this blazing heat?" his ever friendly face was put back on while he waited her answer. |

Thank you. <3 ________________________ Thankfully, the nature of her intrusion wasn’t met with bristling hackles and the snapping of well-adjusted jaws. In fact, it was received with quite the contrary. A smile was met with a smile from Element of the Shadow (she also recognised the cling of Kiriana on his dark pelt) and a head-bob with a head-bob from Kimoto of the Creek. Upon the necessary greetings (none-verbal for all concerned, anyway) passed Siaqi settled herself with an arch of her spinal column into a comfortable sit, flicking her tail around sinewy quarters for lack of anywhere else to put it.
She listened to the similar queries presented with a flicker of sympathy from them both fluttering into the depths of her jewels toward their surmised discomfort and a moment later, she felt it fit to startle the silence with her moniker. "Siaqi Phase of Nova Mountain." She paused to flick her cadmium blues to Element as she addressed him with a query of her own. "I’m guessing you know Kiriana? Since her scent is on your pelt. Is she doing well?"
Then a broad smile eclipsed her features quite pleasantly, her head bobbing a touch as she regarded them both. "Thankfully, I can keep quite cool. Which I guess has a lot to do with the colour of my pelt." Ebony, perhaps one of the more unfortunate colourations in this instance and various hues of mochas, creams and whites also could lend itself to being a pain in these situations. "I mostly came for refuge from my thoughts." |

Hehe, I just realized all these three have mates. Lol.
in this lifetime it better be the right time the first time might be your last time
He could agree with Kimoto about waiting for fall to come. Element had come around to the Salvajes just as the snowy weather was starting to retreat back into hiding, the suns heated beams beginning to claim the land from the cold. He’d remained here through the spring time, wandering wherever his trail would take him along with the blooming flowers and happy warmth. And here he was during the summer, hiding from the sun he usually loved while it decided to turn against him once again. Heat was not his friend. Not at all.
Element chuckled as Kimoto exclaimed his response, surprise warming the male’s voice.
“Got the exact date down and all, huh?”
He’d have to search his thoughts a bit more to try to come up with an exact date of his own. Element knew it had been some time around his first birthday – the 13th of January. Maybe give or take a week after that? At the time the young male had lost count of his days, only absently wandering until he could find a place to call his home. Luck had graced him with coming to the Salvajes and he couldn’t have asked for a better residence.
As Siaqi joined their group he scooted over a little, offering her a place in the deeper shade of the trees. She addressed him with a question, and the smile on Element’s face lit further.
“Yeah, I could say I know her,”
he laughed. Eyes twinkling, the Shadower continued.
“She’s my mate.”
His dark tail swiped across the ground absently, flicking at the contents of the earth below them.
“But yes, she’s doing well.”
After his romp here in the woods today his mission was to return right home to his family. Sure, a good day off was fine and dandy, but there was nothing like going home to what you loved the most.
Regarding her coat, Element took a minute to cast his silvery gaze over the female. True, white was a prime color to be blessed with when it came to a situation like this. Looking down at himself, Element smirked.
“Well… I guess the tip of my tails cooler than the rest of me.”
He flicked the ivory-tipped appendage a few times for show, following it absently with his eyes before turning his grin back to the others. He had heard Siaqi’s other statements, and regarded her words casually.
“That’s always fun, eh? Yet another hobby of mine.”

| Yeah, thats true. Maybe we should have a mate thread? XD |

His thirst never ceased yet the longer he kept his mind busy with words and thoughts, the more he found it less irritating. Nothing like taking your mind off a problem to find it going easier. Clearing his throat, and ears falling onto his head a sheepish grin appeared across his dry maw after listening to Elements words. True, the male found it easy to remember the month and date he had come to these lands, and was almost too excited to become an official member for a year. It seemed like only yesterday when he was a loner and soon he could be celebrating a whole year of memberance soon. It truely felt good to belong. "Yeah, it isn't too hard for me to forget since it was near the winter when I had arrived" lifting onto all fours, bowing his head to the approaching female, a smile crept across his face as he took in her features. She almost reminded him of his own mate, though Sphinx had an air about her, dominance and supremacy that Kimoto simply adored, and what more he guessed Sphinx was a bit larger than the female, since she was of course of Arctic breed. "Well, hello than Siaqi Phase" what was a better way to greet a higher ranked wolf?
He listened as Element and Siaqi conversed, seemingly addressing a female whom the two had met before, the name Kiriana wasn't too familiar to him, so he couldn't voice in any words of his own, though it never hurt to listen. Yet another couple it seemed the Salvajes had on there hands, he would have to meet up with this Kiriana character, so many words were being expressed about her. The weather was brought up again, though again, Kimoto couldn't voice any opinion. His whole bodice was covered in earth colors, allowing him to blend in with his surroundings in Mexico though he no longer lived there and found his coat kind of plain, he found it seemingly cool. He didn't possess dark enough colors for him to be experiencing high heat, though the sun was surely following him lately. "I guess I have no choice but to burn" he added, looking over his pelt as though he would find a cool hair, though finding hardly none. Grinning widely, he sighed, the conversation had changed now, and Kimoto felt he could finally relate. Nothing was better than finding a place to escape your thoughts. "I find myself doing that alot as well"

There talk had been of their arrival in the valley prior to her intrustion and Siaqi found it strange that come the closing weeks of summer, she too would have been here a year. So much had happened since that first fateful day where she’d asked Tobin would this place do – he’d seemingly died and come back to life for a start, and there wasn’t much more that could change a wolf the way that that had. Although, those thoughts where pushed away the very instant they threatened to flood her conscious.
Here was a conversation filled with the lightness of the air and happiness that invariably swelled inside each of them at this meet and the pleasantness of the company. She wasn’t about to let unhappy times cheapen this experience or dampen the inspiration of these two: not for a second.
That was when Element provided the ultimate distraction in regards to her earlier query. His mate? She hadn’t realised that the she-wolf had had one, but then giving the circumstances in which both Kiriana and her became acquainted it didn’t seem surprising that talk of their loved ones – mates in particular – didn’t happen to pop up. But hearing that was well (in a time where sickness was rife in the valley and in the weeks succeeding the event with the bear) brought a warm smile to her scarred muzzle.
"I’m glad to hear she’s doing well. And I’m sorry, I didn’t realise she had one." She chuckled chastely at the comments about the tail tip and burning, finding it an amusing soothe. When the comments came in reference to her refuge, she nodded her head a touch and flicked her eyes between them. "I find myself doing so a lot more these days. It's this weird sickness that’s popping up here and there that I keep thinking about. And I don’t want to really, since I’ll start worrying over something that'll probably turn out to be nothing."

“That’s alright,”
he chuckled, grinning as he did so in response to Siaqi. It was funny how news tended to spread in such an unequal distribution. There had been wolves he barely new that had congratulated him and Kiriana about being mates, and then there were their friends who hadn’t had a clue.
“It’s been a good couple of months,”
he added, smiling at the thought. How long had they been mates? It had been since early May, if he remembered right. That seemed to be about it.
Had he known that at this very moment back at home on Mount Shadow Kiriana was probably experiencing the first of her symptoms of this horrible sickness, he would have fled in a hurry and rushed back home, excusing himself but being unable to stay no matter how rude the departure may seem. His mate came first too him, and he loved her for all he was worth. If he knew he wouldn’t have taken this stroll here in the first place. In fact, if any of them knew those they loved were ill the chance for easy small talk and comfortable words probably never would have come together.
Another chuckle escaped him at Kimoto’s words, and Element shrugged.
“Oh well then… I guess it’s our fate to burn.”
Another silly grin and a rolling of his shoulders, and then Element turned to the next speaker. He listened to Siaqi with interest, a dark ear perking a top his equally dark head.
“I’ve seen a few who were sick. Nothing bad… just some dizzy spells and a few headaches.”
No, it must be just some bug spreading around. He had even had a headache a couple of days, but it had soon disappeared and he wasn’t bothered with it anymore.
“Your right though, it’ll probably be nothing.”
If only he knew how wrong they were.

Once again booted from the conversation, he listened as Element and Siaqi discussed issues of the one named Kiriana. And having not a clue who the female was, he had no use but to listen to their words, finding hints a bug that was crawling around the lands, infecting others, and seening them to a stage unheard of, within licking his parched lips, tongue dry from lack of water, and of course the sickness they had mentioned, he sighed deeply, brow furrled as he spoke "I've heard about the sickness as well. Many wolves are turning up to be sick all over the place. I hope it isn't anything too serious" a short cough and the male fell silent, head swiveling to allow eyes to gaze at the prickling grasses. Thoughts traveling over this horrid sickness.
The male had seen a couple wolves sick before, nothing too serious, a couple having nausea, a couple with dizzy spells, all sounding much like the effects Kiriana had, though they had come from eating bad prey. He remembered a time when his best friend Atraiyu became sick, passing the illness over to him, and though he had cured much faster than she had (within hours actually) he had found the symptoms to be nothing serious, like life threatening, but this illness Siaqi was speaking of sounded uncureable. Maybe the Salvajes were enduring an epidemic like those of humans. Emitting a heavy sigh, eyes traveled over to the likes of his companions, as he spoke "But on a lighter note. You and Tobin getting along fine? It's funny how I found out you guys were mates months after I met the brute and now I meet you" he smiled, ears twitching as he waited for her reply. A change in subject was needed, for with the constant talking of an illness brought on more coughs from his lungs. |

It must have appeared entirely humorous to fate gazing down on the trio of wolves, wholly blissful in their ignorance of what was to come. There had never been any intention of dealing a card that warned of the fading lines between insanity and sanity or of the grief and worry that would strike all three of them at one point or another. Let alone the speed in which it would deliver these fast and deadly blows and the threat of hopelessness that could surely suffocate each of them. But then what was fate, if nothing but a sadistically ironic sense?
Yet right now, the pressures of this illness where nothing more than midges in the curve of her ear. An irritating problem, but it lacked the seriousness to settle anywhere but the back of her mind. And she was aware that the refuge she had sought from these types of thoughts in the first place had not been achieved: as now, she was weighting the conversation now with her apparent musing. However, a problem was better shared apparently and she listened with varying intentness to the comments expressed on both, before adding with a spring note in her voice: ”I doubt that it will be.” How wrong one wolf could be.
Kimoto’s change of topic was to offer her eyebrows arching upward in mild surprise. How did he know of him and her for that matter? The explanation was quick to follow, but still she felt stirred by the knowledge that she had been known prior – and Tobin had spoke of her? It had been more common to speak of each other in the early days, where mate-ship was fresh in their hearts and minds. And every one of their thoughts had been tainted (in a good way of course!) with the constant stream of each other. These days it was rarer and she had no idea he still spoke of her – especially after the incident.
She smiled however, genuinely in the filtered sunlight, endeared by his interest. ”Yes, we’re getting along fine. We don’t see as much of each other as we used to, but that’s to be expected I suppose, with everyday pack life. And the puppies take up a lot of any time that we could have together, too.” Not that that was a bad thing mind. ”I didn’t realise that you knew each other.” Which explained the minute surprise she figured Kimoto had noticed.
”Do you have a mate?” Siaqi asked after a heartbeat, not really thinking about the implications of the query until after she’d said it. ”I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to be rude or put you in an awkward position.” But it’d be three a-piece if he did. |

So it seemed all three of them had experienced or seen some degree of this spit of illness. Like his previous thoughts, it was probably nothing more than a bug or cold being passed around. It didn’t sound like anything serious, so Element had no real reason to worry about it. That would just throw another weight on his shoulders he didn’t need. You get sick for a few days, and you perk back afterward. Like a flower once you give it water. He nodded in agreement to the two of them, noting in silence Kimoto’s cough that followed his own words. Maybe the Creek fellow was on the verge of coming down with just the very thing they were talking about. Or maybe he had just coughed. Did it truly matter?
Shifting a little and throwing his paws out before him, bringing his head down across the dark limbs he let his silver eyes shift between the two of them as they spoke, discussing someone who must have been a friend of theirs. He had caught the name Tobin… and realized with interest that he was the particular male that had taken command over Nova Mountain in Sinistra’s absence. And even more interesting, it seemed Siaqi here was his mate. She wasn’t the alpha female, was she? The thought was erased as she spoke up about pups, and his tail wagged slowly behind him. Throwing in a question of his own as the two spoke, he sounded curious, eager to know who her children may be. Maybe he’d met them.
“Who may your pups be, if you don’t mind me jumping in and asking.”
He knew he may have recognized something vaguely familiar about her from her scent, but was still unsure. As her own question was directed to Kimoto, he looked back to the other male, equally curious. Playing in the back of his mind was the thought of amusement that the three here could all be mated pairs, minus their other half for the day.

It felt good to be leaving the topic of illnesses behind them, especially since the mexican male himself didn't feel peachy, and couldn't stand the fact or possibility that he had indeed caught the virus they were conversing about. He watched as the female spoke of the beta male named Tobin, or rather Deadlock, which ever name he decided to claim. His meeting with the male was...slightly brief, ending with Tobin mad that Kimoto had followed a sick Wip to the lands of Nova Mountain, when he'd deciding to check up on her, just in case she would be too injured to defend herself if something large tried to stop her in her wanderings. The mexican male ended shortly after finding Wip fairing well, and had thus decided to leave the situation as that. He knew nothing about Tobin, except the fact that male was in the coyote expedition, seemingly died, and came back with his current name, instead of good ole' Deadlock. Kimoto was of course left confused, and wondering deeply just what had happened that dredful day. How had the 'yotes been defeated, and just what had happened to this Lock guy and so on.
These thoughts of course hadn't been answered, and Kimoto still to this day didn't have the full story of what happened, so he pushed these thoughts aside, and smiled at Siaqi fully. So she had pups with this fellow as well? He hadn't heard of any births as of late, and when he had first been accepted, didn't dwell of other packs afairs too much. So he had of course missed the whole birthing day, this didn't mean he wasn't curious now though. "Puppies as well eh? Life must have been good back than" he smirked, ears perking only when she had questioned about his own relationship. Lips twisting up to a smile, he nodded a moment, before speaking "No worries, I'm not taking offense, though I do have a mate. Her names Sphinx" he fell silent now, noticing now that he hadn't been asked that question in what seemed like..weeks now. Surely Siaqi's question had only sparked his mass amount of emotions for her. Element spoke now, asking the names of the pups she'd spoken of. |

Noting the sudden sweep of the conversation had interjected Element; her attentions would rest on him and observe the shifting movements that brought him into a more comfortable position. Well, it looked that way from her self-conscious loftiness, any how. She herself shifted, splaying the attentive preen of her ears a touch and the cadence of a twitching tail tip snaking across the Forest’s flora was soon introduced. Kimoto’s smooth brogue was to lift her eyes from the darker male, to embrace the white streaked muzzle of his.
Her own smirk twisted across the dark mottle of her lips in a mirroring manner to the Creekers and a throaty chuckle would rasp from her salmon appendage in concordance to that statement and visual adjustment. Truth was, finding out she was pregnant had been both a blessing and a curse at the time – tethering her to a life she felt she no longer wanted, but was a silent, growing joy in a time of utter despair. And it would always puzzle the female how could feel such strongly conflicting emotions over one event at the same time.
Sphinx’s name was to bring her expression to the normality of before and a head would tilt almost thoughtfully. For one, Siaqi hadn’t heard that she had returned – her life could be that sheltered on occasion – and it had been a long while since she’d heard that name. ”Congratulations. I’m sure you’ll both be having puppies yourselves come spring!” Chuckling a little before looking back at Element with the softness of her characteristic smile tugging at her muzzle’s breath.
”Not at all. You’re a part of this conversation too, Element. They’re called Arsenio, Chena and Tantamount.”

I'm going to wrap this up now, if you guys don't mind. It's been fun, you both = UBERAWESOMEWRITERS. ^^
His gaze went back and forth between Siaqi and Kimoto as they spoke, a smile lit on his face as he listened to the interchanged words. So Kimoto was Sphinx’s mate? And Sphinx was the alpha of Silver Creek, correct? He chuckled mentally to himself, thinking it over. Both mates of alphas! (At one point, at least). It was like he was in the hands of royalty here, wasn’t he?
Siaqi answered him, and his dark ears perked. Arsenio! Of course, that’s where the resemblance of scent came in.
“Arsenio I’ve met… he’s a great kid, really is. Adventurous little guy too.”
He remembered clearly when the young Novan came to Mount Shadow, and Element had taught him what geodes were, and how to find them. Chena and Tantamount… he remembered the names faintly, but hadn’t met the other two siblings.
With a sigh, he rose to his feet, shaking out his coat and stretching his dark legs out in front of him.
“Speaking of mates and puppies, I’ve got to get back to Mount Shadow before Kiriana thinks I’ve run off on her.”
He smiled, tail wagging behind him at the little joke.
“It was nice meeting you both.”
Head turned to Kimoto now, the smile grew, and the Zeta winked.
“And good luck come Spring.”
Element would be hoping himself for just the same luck. And with that, he nodded to them both in a manner of farewell, and turned tail, heading silently back through the forest and towards his home.

| Alright, we'll be ending. And it was very fun roleplaying with you both! ^^ |

The conversation had ended at that, when Element rose to leave the area, seemingly worried about his own love. Which in turn caused Kimoto to wonder about the predicament of Sphinx. He wondered was she fairing well now, especially considering the fact that this illness that they had spoken about, was spreading quickly, and took no judgement on rank, or popularity. She was a potential target just like he apparently was, and Element, this Kiriana gal, and Siaqi. All whom they'd been conversing with could rightly become infected, and this Kimoto was worried about, the only thing he could do now was wait out the outcome, keep a stable mark on Sphinx's condition, make sure no one he was coming in contact could ultimatly infect him, and lastly, find out what the hell was causing him to lose so much liquid. If he kept this up, he feared he'd be shribbling up into a dry raisin soon.
Lifting in turn with the darker male, forepaws were also lowered into a stretch before he too spoke. "Good luck to you my friend. That is if you and this Kiriana girl haven't already gotten busy" he winked, smirking a bit before he continued "Spring seems like a long while around the corner. Hopefully I'll be seeing you guys facing again by that time. But I must be getting back. Sphinx might be worried about me as well" with this he turned to face the path Silver Creek laid. Tail swaying slowly behind him as large paws marked the way toward his destination. Ears dancing all the while. |

I really enjoyed this thread and I loved being able to roleplay with you both. <3

”Arsenio I’ve met… he’s a great kid, really is. Adventurous little guy too.”
She couldn’t help but let the rhythm of a chuckle vibrate the back of her silvered throat in response to the words, knowing that every one was spoken true, even if prior she hadn’t known of his meeting with Element (although it made sense that he had during his stint at the Shadow Mount). From day one he’d been the first to be into everything and not a rule or a warning in sight was going to keep him from going up that mountain or down that hole. He reminded her of Tobin at every twist and turn.
Duly, the female noted the sigh from Element and watched with envy at the stretching of cramping muscles wanting only to be able to do the opportunity to do the same. ”It was lovely to meet you both too.” And with well-wishes to the fellow prospective father-to-be, the ebony and flashed white of the Zeta soon disappeared through the darkly-silhouetted trees.
Kimoto was always taking the opportunity to depart to his loved one. With a nod in his direction and a well-meant smile, she watched him slip through the timbre – just as Element had moments before – before the pallid lady found her paws and whisked herself away in the opposite direction. |
