Alright, this thread is welcome to anyone. I'd say... oh... *thinks* no more than two others? *Nods* Yeah, two it is. I'm looking for a -decently- quick thread, nothing thats going to spread on for whole months at a time, lol. And its open to the sick, the non sick, caretakers, medics, puppies, etc. Anyone at all. ^^

in this lifetime it better be the right time
the first time might be your last time

Meandering through the trees Element took shelter in the shaded blanket the canopy of the forest had to offer. The summer heat was still blazing, and his dark coat took any chance it could to absorb heat from the sun’s blaring rays. His headache was back for the first time in days, pounding ruthlessly at his temples. His upper lip was pulled back in a silent growl, revealing ivory canines under dark chops. Element wasn’t in a bad mood per say… but he was just so tired of it all. This epidemic had reached his pack and gotten through the defenses of many – including his own mate. That had been the worst to see and try to understand. She hadn’t even remembered him, for Gods sake. Not at all!

They had worked it out, and she was slowly getting a little better it seemed. At least she knew who he was now. Well… most of the time. He never knew when he talked to her if he was being viewed in the eyes of a stranger of the eyes of the one that loved him. It was tough, but he wouldn’t bring himself to complain. There were some that had it worse. At least he and his family were doing okay. The thing that plagued his mind the most was wondering just how long this epidemic was going to last. How far and how serious would it get? It was devastating small prey, leaving dead creatures lying frail and broken inside as a result. Even for Element it was a sad sight. He was feeling uneasy everywhere he went.

Today he was off searching. He’d caught word that the other packs had arranged positions of sorts among them. Even if it wasn’t official, he was keen to hear their ideas. Hoping to stumble across anyone with information he’d started across the lowlands, leaving Mount Shadow with word to Kiriana he’d be back tonight. Today was one of her good days, but the guilt remained that he’d left her at the den. Leaving his mate while she was in this state for just a minute rocketed shame through him, and three times already he’d started to turn back and head for home.

Plus, there were others. Kiriana was not the only wolf that was ill, and it was his duty as a loyal pack mate that he try and help anyone that needed it. There were some sick wolves elsewhere on Mount Shadow, and even at that the Mount just felt less full. Maybe today he’d come across a pack mate to help back home. Or even a wolf from any of the packs in the Salvajes. Element just wanted to do something to help. He wasn’t a medic so the illness was an unknown ailment to him. But he was a strong shoulder and a helping paw – and that he could use to his advantage.

__________ Bronx was slinking through Wild Fire Forest, his specially tall frame dipped slightly as a reflection of his current thoughts, a stern frown hovering faintly over his features. By his structure and prevailing musculature, he looked like a jet-black statue chiselled and carved, if it weren’t for his movements. He dipped his maw thoughtlessly to the stream and, as if on an afterthought, drew back before touching the water, and walking on through the forest.
__________The pollutant could be anywhere, as the stream moves. Yet Bronx moving back from the stream was not his being careful, but just the fact that even water itself reminded him of the epidemic. He had not yet heard of any deaths that had struck the Salvajes, but many of his acquaintances had fallen sick. Allure, of course, was at the top of that list – he only left her now because she was an individual, not a wretched invalid.
__________It effected Bronx more than most. Not the illness itself – for the healthy wolf had remained thus throughout – but the mentality of it all. He had lost his closest friend and cousin, Forrest, to some sort of mystery illness. But that illness had been much more violent than any that had so far been rumoured about the Salvajes. He had a subtly crippled foreleg to prove it.
__________As he sensed another male nearby, he approached the dark form, drawing himself up slightly. He nodded his greeting gruffly, half intending on just walking by.

Yay! I was going to ask you for a thread, heh. I'm writing this on a different computer and don't have all my coding - so I'll edit it in later.

in this lifetime it better be the right time
the first time might be your last time

Weary eyes picked their gaze off the ground and to the land before him, taking in not only the scenery but the lack of life around him. Sure, there was foliage; full and thriving. But... the animals. The other creatures he could usually count on running at his scent or skittering by through the underbrush as he moved. The little creatures and other wolves alike. With this sickness spreading through the lands, it seemed everyone was taking refuge.

Sighing, he kept moving forward, stopping occasionally to examine a plant that caught his eye or some other particular being he felt the need to take a closer look at. Some kind of cure or treatment could be lurking with every leaf, the remedy to the illness pulsing in the green veins of unknown plants. If only he knew more about medicine... then maybe he'd be able to figure something out. Hopefully there were others searching. There had to be.

As if to answer his silent question footsteps sounded nearby, a steady gait that indicated someone was approaching. Whether Element was in the mood to talk and converse he wasn't sure, but as the other cleared a section of brush and emerged before Element his greeting signalled he wasn't quite into such casualties either. A simple gruff nod was presented and Element returned the gesture, ready to continue with his business or probably just turn and head home. Something stopped him; an overwhelming curiousity and desire to know more. Maybe... maybe this passing male was out here searching too. Or ill, who knew.

His back was to the other male now and he listened to the footsteps slowly start to fade. Making up his mind, Element turned and followed. Giving a bark to signal he was there, he picked up a brisk trot to catch up to the obsidian male that had passed. It didn't take to long, and the Zeta lowered his head slightly, feeling semi guilty for intruding. "Wait," he called. "Would you mind if I asked you a few things? About... about the illness. I was wondering if you knew much about it." Hopeful eyes rested on the other male, examining him for any signs of restlessness or annoyance that would doom this meeting to a very short end.

FWEEEE! I hope you don't mind he sticking my luffly Lonan in heres! ^.^

Lonan had been parted from his parents and siblings for but a second time. But this time, he didn't exactly worry as much as he did last time. Although being caught in the middle of Firestone Marsh, the young Prince had realised that nothing bad could happen (even though it could, Lonan was blind to the dangers of the world) and that he could trod along pleasantly without worry. He gave a few joyous yips as he sauntered casually along, his slender physique swaying with each climbsy step. His tail rose to curl slightly over his haunches - much like his mother did whilst in her dominating mood - and he flickered his charcoal-dipped earsslightly with a flurry of bird's wings. He halted for a moment to take a brief glance over his shoulder as the winged creatures took flight and broke through the branches of the forest's green branches, and he huffed quietly as it disappeared. Unsatisfied by watching the actions of a startled wood-pigeon, Lonan continued his clumsy pace toward a scent he'd caught earlier. He only hoped it would still be there.

It was a scent that seemed known to him. Little did he know, he was but helpless, deaf and blind as to when he had inhaled the scent of the raven Element. He tried to imagine what this smell could be - a close family member, perhaps? An uncle? An older brother? Or maybe just a friend of the family? Whichever, the youngster didn't really care. As long as his mind was set at ease with a bit of explaining from the darkened lupin as to why he smelled so familier, Lonan would be quite delighted.

So he continued along, and but another scent arrived at his nares. He inhaled deeply, not registering the other wolf's smell. Lonan gave a slight frown before mentally shrugging and arriving at the scene. He first layed his baby-blue gaze upon the grey-eyed one he'd first scented, and Lonan wagged his tail furiously. When he turned his head to watch the other, even blacker lupin, Lonan blinked with curiosity. It could be better for him to get to know as many wolves as posible around the valley, so he smiled and stumbled forth toward the duo.

He halted right next to Element, to nudge the Shadow wolf's leg with a dainty muzzle and stare up with a youthful pair of blue orbs, his tail continuing to wag gently behind him. Lifting a limb, the silvern Prince pawed delicately at him. Did the sable one even know the Strawberry Prince's name? Wpuld he recognise him? Yipping delightfully, Lonan flickered his ears and said in an uneccesarily loud voice: I'st Loh-nahn! he paused, to cock his head at Bronx and smile playfully at him, too.

__________Bronx passed on by the black wolf, thinking of various medical things that he couldn’t quite grasp. Was the disease contagious? If so, how? Who was looking for cures? And once again, how? One of the latter question was really already answered, for it had been officially determined that some were actively looking for a cure. Bronx would have been content upon helping, but he was a Guardian, not a Medic, and knew full well that helping did not consist of asking medical questions. The best he could do would be to fetch various herbs and plants in the Valley for the Medics, but even then he didn’t know the names of any, and wouldn’t much appreciate being treated as too much of a subordinate.
__________It suddenly struck him that he was no longer in the subordinate ranks, and indeed hadn’t been for quite some time now. Of course, he had known this information ever since it became true, but that attitude that he didn’t want to be treated as a subordinate certainly hinted at his progression.
__________The scent of the male he had passed was becoming distant, but suddenly it grew again, and Bronx glanced over his shoulder at the bark, and stopped to face the other wolf. No, I wouldn’t mind, he answered simply, Though I’m afraid I know little to nothing about the medical side of it, though I can reel off a few lists of the ill. Shortly came another scent, and a little male puppy appeared happily by Element’s side. Yeah? I’m Bronx. He replied briefly to the youngster.

Lonan's cute. And Bronx seems cool. ^^

in this lifetime it better be the right time
the first time might be your last time

He was glad the other dark male agreed to stop and talk. Sharing information about what one another new could help, especially if there was some knowledge one possessed that the other did not. Things spread easier by word of mouth if the mouths speaking actually had something good to say. “Medically, all I know are what I’ve seen of the symptoms.” Before he could open his mouth again and go into detail, a new scent… vaguely familiar, came to his nose. Turning, he watched just in time to see a small puppy come trotting up to the two of them.

The little guy seemed to recognize Element a bit too, and pawed gently at his leg while addressing himself. The familiar etch blossomed, and Element realized exactly where he knew the kid from. Blinking down at the little puppy, a distinct look of amazement was etched on his features. Was this really one of the little bundles of fur he’d seen in the den that day? That hadn’t even been to horribly long ago. Look at how much the little guy had grown! “Boy you’ve gotten big,” Element said softly, smiling down at the youngster. “Just going to be pure muscle aren’t you?”

Turning his gaze from the silver puppy back to the other male, Element spoke up. “Maybe… we should save that for another time,” he said to Bronx, giving a small jerk of his head to the pup at his side. Talking about the sickness and the horribly ill in front of such a small guy probably wouldn’t be the best idea. Element didn’t want to scare him, or worry the pup in the least. He was a bit shocked that for such a little guy he was out here romping around in the first place though. Looking up and surveying the area, Element half expected Green or Quicksilver to come through the brush behind Lonan. "So your out here adventuring all on your own today, kiddo?" Attention back on Lonan, he surveyed him quickly with a careful eye. Was he even supposed to be out without his parents? Element wasn't sure - he didn't know their rules. The pup seemed fine though, happy and content and full of that usual puppy energy.

WHOOOT! Chyou guys rock! LOL

Wagging his tail and grinning at Bronx, Lonan's chest swelled with pride as the pair turned their attention to him. Uh-HUH, I's LOH-NAHN! he yipped, perking a raven-dipped ear toward Element. His gaze soon followed, and a pair of baby blue orbs caught the silvern ones of the larger wolf. He held them, returning the dark hued one's smiles and blinking curiously as he continued to speak. The silvern pup gazed up fondly at him, and during his frantic wagging of his white-tipped tassel, Lonan huffed quietly and propped up against Element to settle his head upon his limb.

Then the adult looked to Bronx, and mentioned something about "leaving it for another time". Confused, the young Delta cocked a brow and peered up at him, then to bronx in wonder of his response. But with his lack of attention on them, Lonan shrugged mentally and removed his weight from the lupin's limb to sniff at the other wolf. He hadn't ever met him before, let alone inhaled the scent upon which he carried. he looked up to the huge male, grinning broadly and, from what he'd mentioned earlier, repeated his name cutely Buh-BWONX-EE! And grinning in triumph, the proud youth beamed back at Element, before darting to settle between his front limbs.

Loh-steeed! He said in reponse to the wolf's question of him being alone. Although lost and parted from his precious mother, Lonan was satisfied to eventually have some company. His tail setted by his haunches, tired from his wagging, and he flickered his tongue out to trace it over the dark leg of Element. Smiling to the two, the youngster sighed with content.

__________It seemed that the dark stranger was equally out of the know as Bronx in terms of the medical side of it all. Even then, however, the Guardian didn’t much know the difference between the symptoms and the effects. Allure, it seemed, had suffered from all of the severest sides to the illness he had come across: she was very badly off. Nevertheless, it seemed that there conversation was to wander elsewhere, and Bronx nodded briefly in tactful agreement.
__________Bronx glanced down at the male pup. Hell, he seemed… young. A bit too young, in fact. He had almost thought that perhaps this was the offspring of the wolf before him, but then again he soon discovered that this was not the case, by the latter’s reactions. The pup repeated his name comically, and then his own… again. He supposed Lonan (shout!) had just learned to talk. Lost, hm? He replied, far from uncomfortable, being one who knew a fair bit about pups. From Strawberry Fields? He had quickly noticed the scent. You’ve travelled quite some way… you can’t fly by any chance, can you? he asked suspiciously.

It was probably better than the little pup had made his way into the two older wolves beginning conversation. From right off it was clear neither of them had anything miraculous to report, and ensuing such a dismal conversation further would just be… well, dismal. A bump on his leg broke Element’s train of thought, and he smiled as Lonan (as he had clearly introduced himself) propped himself up on the Zeta’s leg.

Element shared Bronx’s ease around pups, and in fact the ebony male enjoyed the company of any of the smaller individuals. His white tipped tail flipped silently behind him as he kept a watchful gaze on the pup. The little guy seemed to be enjoying just being out and around. He repeated Bronx’s name in his own prideful way and beamed up at him, and in return the Shadower sent a wink right back.

Lonan dashed between Element’s legs, plopping himself there happily and causing the older male to laugh. For such a little guy Lonan sure had a lot of pep to him. Some concern came onto his features as the pup told them he was lost, and he sent a quick glance to Bronx before returning it back to the youngster. Before he could offer any words the other male chimed in. With a continuous smirk on his face, Element went right along with Bronx, picking up where the other male left off. “Ah, flying. Those wings must be tucked under you somewhere, aren’t they?” With a grin, he shifted and went down to the pup’s level, bumping his chest with his snout and peering at him in mock curiously. “But I don’t see them! They aren’t invisible wings, are they?”

Eck, sorry for the slightly longer wait, guys! =( I was at Alton Towers for a day, soo... chyeah? No worries, my post ish here, now! x)

Staw-bwy, Lonan scrunched his nose in disgust of the foul-tasting fruit Ba' icky! He looked up to Bronx from his comical, seated position, twitching his lips in malice for the strawberries. He remembered when he first ventured from the den, and he'd gnawed on one of those things. Lonan would never forget just how putrid they tasted. He stared accusingly up at the darkened one, for it was his fault that he was reminded of the disgustingly sweet plant, anyway. He huffed, staring up at Element for an ounce of support until he caught his given wink. In attempt, to return it, but not quite able to contol his facial muscles as well as an adult, Lonan closed both eyes tight and stuck his tongue out playfully.

Then Bronx mentioned something about wings. Lonan dropped his head too shift his babyblue gaze up at him, and he cocked his snout curiously. Didn't mom or dad mention something about butterflies having wings? And fireflies flew! Did that mean that wings helped make you fly? He sighed almost dreamily, remembering that night when both he and his sister Bhreac had escaped from the den whilst the rest of the family slept to chase fireflies and race to the stars. He giggled to himself, lifting a paw to bat at the black wolf's limb joyfully.

Element spoke again, something else about wings. Lonan grinned and turned to stand upon his hinds and press against the Zeta's leg to wave his tail between pale hocks and nuzzle into his furry chest. When he nudged at his own, Lonan fell back onto his haunches, his salmon tongue lolling freely from his parted jowls to dangle comically. FWY! he called, barking and tossing his head back to stare up at a starless sky T'stas! But a look of shock plastered his happy expression. Where were the stars? Giving a gentle whimper, Lonan looked round at Bronx in worry. What if the stars never came back?

__________His dark muzzle dipped towards the puppy to watch his comical plights, Bronx smirked at the other male’s suggestion, and glanced up at him. Hey – what’s your name? He realised that whilst Bronx had given his introduction, and Lonan his, the third of the group was yet to offer his name. Nevertheless, the Guardian still found him a pleasant sort, and didn’t think much of the fact that the little pup had bounded in to interrupt what could have been a very interesting conversation.
__________No, it seemed that the concerns and thoughts of both capable, intelligent adults were simply brushed aside as the puppy proceeded to throw all attention on him. This very selfish attitude was common to all puppies, though, and Bronx had long since accepted that. The thing was, this one was very… well, he was physical for one, nuzzling and licking and cuddling one male, and touching Bronx with his paw, which was quite some step – pups were often afraid of the imposing form of Nova Mountain’s Guardian.
__________Lonan, it seemed, was very full of that sickly puppy demeanour. Fwy! he ‘cwied’ cutely, with that silly little lisp that Bronx swore to be put on. When he was young he had never spoken like that – he had learnt words properly. Whatever unable parents had taught their little son here to speak like that? Either way, the youngster seemed to be confused at the lack of stars, and Bronx suggested, Maybe you scared them all away, jokingly, knowing that the primitive child was likely to take it seriously.

Sorry for my little delay too. No computer = really sucks. >.<

in this lifetime it better be the right time
the first time might be your last time

Element couldn’t help but laugh as Lonan displayed a very obvious dislike to strawberries. It seemed anything a pup did was cute in one way or the other. Whether it was making a face to throwing some kind of tantrum, there was always part of you that was able to shake your head and chuckle at the actions. The expression of disgust on Lonan’s small face was another one of those that just fit right into the category. “I’ve never tasted one,” he shrugged. Of course, he’d never really thought about it before, let alone be wandering through the fields in general. It seemed though that maybe he was better off that way, if they really were as awful as said to be.

As the pup looked up to him, Element turned his gaze down in time to catch the half attempted wink the pup was trying to mimic. He grinned, holding back another chuckle so as not to make him feel bad. He didn’t want to seem rude by laughing at the little guy… but he was just pretty darn cute.

Ending up back on his haunches after Element’s little nudge, his attention to flying quickly shifted as he looked up at the sky above them, squinting and then sounding a whine. Pausing momentarily to wonder what had brought the whimper from the youngster, Element diverted his own gaze upwards, trying to figure out what he was noticing. Bronx spoke as he surveyed the sky, and that’s when the Zeta realized the little one must have been looking for the stars. He hadn’t quite caught Lonan’s own words at first, but now he realized their meaning. He sent a quick smile to Bronx, and then looked back at the young pup. “They tend to like to hide during the day.”

No woories, Element-dearest ^.^

G-gawn? he questioned, flitting his gaze between the pair of darker lupin looking for some type of r eassurance. He gave a few short shines, settling his baby blue stare upon Bronx as he mentioned Lonan scaring the stars away. he shook his head in disbelief, curling his white-splashed tail around a haunce and hang his head to think. Feeling rather guilty about chasing the stars away, Lonan cocked his head and whined a sorrowful apology to them, wishing they'd come back. However, with his short attention-span, Element's paw was right there before his nose, almost asking to be gnawed on. He gazed at it sercerively, before looking up at the black and silver Shadower and panting cutely. He had corrected Bronx - the young Delta had not scared the stars away at all: they were hiding fro him! And it was only a matter of time until he found them again!

And he had completely forgotten of that fun-looking paw he spotted only moments ago, and rose his his comfortable sitting position to shake his pelt for no reason. He's seen his father shake his pelt free of water and dust, so felt the urge to copy him whenever he remembered it. Raising his gaze to watch the darker of the two males, Lonan pivoted clumsily, tripping over large paws and giving a playful pounce toward him. Skidding before him, right between his forelegs, the elegant Lonan peered up with a mischiefous grin before entwining around a foreleg and gnawing on his leg curiously and painlessly. He didn't taste at all pleasant, but he did taste better than strawberries!

He nipped a final time at the sable-hued lower-limb of the brute before dodging between his legs and peering back over his narrow shoulders to beam at him. He gave a childish laugh of play before he looked around, catching a glimpse of that paw he remembered and immediately snapping back at it. Lonan perked and looked up at Element with such innocence only a child you behold, and stumbled forth to settled next to that fun-looking paw. He looked at it, before crying out a dominating MAAAI! and plunging down to nip at it, attempting to lift it into his weak jowls and carry it off. But it was stuck there, and he swiped at it with disapproval. MAI MAI MAAAI!

Nice roleplaying with you guys. :)

__________Actually, he had not only been 50% right, but 100% right in this case – Lonan was about Lonan. Life was about Lonan. Now was about Lonan. The world was about Lonan. And no matter how young the creature was, Bronx didn’t care much for creatures like that, no matter how fluffy they were. The Guardian watched the little one blankly for a moment more, then glanced back towards the dark stranger. It seemed that the other male was overly smitten with the little pup, and was now completely ignoring Bronx. Bronx had asked, not a second ago, what’s your name? No answer. Just oh my god the puppy is so cute!
__________Bronx offered a nod of farewell to the nameless male (though he probably wasn’t watching, so there was certainly no need) who refused to give his name, and made his way out of the clearing and towards more important matters than the Universe of Lonan. Like dirt.

*Feels much like a twit* Gah, my fault not Element's, heh. Now I know why I was telling myself I was forgetting something, I totally didn't see where Bronx had asked, >.< Sorry bout the name thing, slipped my mind. Oh well I guess. =/
I love your roleplaying though, maybe some other time? ^^

“Just for now,” Element reassured. He knew all to well that the little guy just really may think it actually was his fault. That was another thing about being a pup… the world was so much bigger and open to any possibility you could imagine. Element wasn’t an old wolf, he was young enough to remember his puphood quite well. Anything you could imagine back then had always seemed to have some kind of reality. A light smile lay on his face as he reminisced on just this idea. “They come back when the sun goes away – at night.” Element continued, wondering just how much that Lonan knew about the world around him at this age.

Then as his attention shifted to Bronx, he caught a shift in his paws and a dismissing nod. Element watched silently as the other left, returning the nod of farewell with a raised brow. Standing there, the Zeta remained perplexed as the dark figure turned and slunk off through the forest, leaving him and the pup where they were. His jaw was partly open with un-issued words, a half ‘bye then’ mixed with the question of why he was leaving. Sighing, and not able to help feeling guilty as if it had been his actions that had inspired the act, Element watched until the figure faded then turned his awareness back to the pup.

Right as he did so it seemed the pup had taken all his notice into one of Element’s paws. He circled his leg and then chomped down – not enough to hurt but enough to surprise the Shadower in the first place. He almost let out a startled yip, not expecting in the least to be chosen as the pups new chew toy. Instead he remained quiet, looking down with ears perked in surprised curiosity. And then right as he did that Lonan was on the move again, twirling around him before attacking his paw yet again and this time… claiming it as his own. This brought a smile to the Zeta again, and he lifted the dark paw in the air, dangling it over the puppies head. “Naw, I don’t quite think you can have this. I’d rather keep it,” He joked. Yes, having all four legs in tact was a good idea.

Aw, maybe some other time, Bronx. <3

He had gnawed thoughtfully on the larger wolf's paw, flickering his ears and he curled round his leg a little. It didn't seem to want to move, but when Element eventually rose it to dangle above his small yet adorable crown, his baby blue stare drifting up to glare accusingly at it. He wanted it to move, but not move that much! Giving a slight growl, he lowered himself a little to the ground a leapt up, teething jowls attempting pathetially to latch upon the hanging prey but failing and falling back to land upon his rump and then on his back. He huffed in defeat and rose to turn and face the darker brute, until he lowered his head submissively. Lonan knew that stare. He couldn't quite remember where from, but he knew it meant nothing good. Hurt from the way the Novian had stared blankly upon him, as if he was worth nothing, Lonan looked up innocently.

He wanted to ask what was wrong, was it his fault. But being so young, and just starting to properly learn words, Lonan couldn't quite think of what to say. He opened his maw to say "sowwee", but nothing came out but a quiet sigh. By the time he'd came around to say something, Bronx had moved off and nodded a farewell to Element. Feeling alone again, Lonan tucked his tassel between his legs. What about his goodbye? Instead, he'd gotten no more than a bitter look. The young prince of Strawberry Fields felt his gaze grow hard, and he bore it into the wolf's back as he disappeared into the forest. The puppy snorted, scrunching his nose and looking up at Element with a quirk of an invisable brow. Huh-he no laayke meh? he asked, snorting and flickering his ears cutely Sh'no fay-ersh.

With a flurry of emotion - mild anger, hurt and realisation - Lonan gazed curiously at Element, awaiting his response to what he'd said. he rose a paw to bat the Zeta's foreleg, still ticked off from how Bronx had looked at him with that foul glare. He huffed. Mommy and daddy would hear about this... if he remembered, ofcourse.

Lonan made a few futile attempts to re-claim his grasp on Element’s paw, but the multi-hued Zeta kept it high above his reach. The gnawing hadn’t hurt at all, in fact Element could have cared less. He adored puppies, no matter what age and even if they decided his paw made a nice chew toy. Finally it seemed the pup was giving up, and after the young Fielder turned his attention to the departing Bronx Element placed his foot back on the ground. The next thing he noticed was the mighty glare the little guy was sending. Frowning a bit, he extended the same leg and tapped Lonan gently on the shoulder. “No need for mean looks now,” Element said softly, eyeing the pup. It wasn’t a scolding voice, but all the same there was a small bit of order tucked in the phrases.

The Zeta smirked at Lonan’s next words as he turned around and fixed him with a pleading gaze. “I wouldn’t say that.” Whether it was true or not Element wasn’t sure, but there was no need to make the little guy feel bad. “But hey, life isn’t fair sometimes, kiddo.” He winked down at him, and then took a moment to study the surroundings. Which way was Strawberry Fields from here? He should probably take Lonan back… he had said he was lost, right? “You want to take a little walk? We can start heading back towards your home so your mom and dad don’t get worried about you. Wouldn’t want that now right?” The little guy was in Element’s responsibility now, and he wasn’t just going to leave him here in the middle of the forest. “We can play a game or something on the way if you want?” Maybe that would make the offer more appealing.

Lonan gazed up as Element tapped him with the paw he'd rescently been chewing on, and his eyes followed it as the wolf settled it neatly aside its partner. When he began talking, the young prince rose his head to watch the frowning brute. He wasn't being firm with him, Lonan felt at ease with his gentle tone. Lonan watched him fondly for a few moments before nodding in agreement. He was right. Life wasn't fair sometimes. Appreciative for his support, Lonan smiled broadly up at him, his white-splashed tassel giving a friendly sway.

“You want to take a little walk? We can start heading back towards your home so your mom and dad don’t get worried about you. Wouldn’t want that now right?” Lonan smiled as he mentioned his mother, but gave a frown as he remembered how Bhreac teased him about being a momma's boy. Bree-ack caw-ells meh Momma's boy, he said quietly, dropping his crown in embaressment. He trusted Element not to laugh, and looked up to nod in agreement to his earlier statement. He actually began to think his parents were worrying for him. Knowing them, they most likely would be.

Ga-uhm! he repeated, feeling a little more energetic and content now that he'd mentioned an activity. He stood and wagged his tail giving a clumsy lope around the male in a loose circle before he jogged upfront. He looked back over his narrow shoulders at Element, yipping in desire for him to follow on. He vaguely remembered his way back to Strawberry Fields, and even if he were to lead them the wrong way, the young Fielder prince was reliant on Element to correct him and take him home.

His little advice had gone over well enough with the young wolf, and Element’s smile met and matched with Lonan’s. If there was one thing you learned in life a big part of it certainly was that life truly wasn’t fair. It didn’t matter how happy you were or how much you had. At some point in time everyone learned that lesson. Whether you learned it the hard way or the easy way, and whether you learned when you were a year old or five, it was an important detail.

Shifting his paws beneath him to take weight momentarily over the tired pads, his smile remained as Lonan spoke again, opening to him and expressing embarrassed words. The older male didn’t laugh, but responded with a slow shake of his head. “Oh, you can’t always let what other people say bother you, Lonan. And you know what? Being close to your momma isn’t a bad thing at all. It’s special.” He vaguely remembered the name the pup had spoken, and after searching his thoughts for a moment it finally came to him. Bhreac. That had been his sister, right? “You’re family loves you a whole lot, I’d bet. So being happy around them and liking to spend time with them is a good thing. I liked being around my mom and dad a lot when I was your age.” He had only been Lonan’s age a little more than a year ago, really. The thought paused Element momentarily, but he turned swiftly back to the conversation at hand. “Don’t worry about that at all though.”

With those words, the pup had perked – especially at the mention of a game. Element grinned. Of course the word ‘game’ could strike up hidden energy and excitement in any pup. “Alright then,” he called out, moving out after Lonan and following the fuzzy gray. “What kind of games do you like, kiddo?”

Lonan looked over his narrow, white-splashed shoulders at the adult, smiling broadly as Element began loping after him. The Indris namesake yipped fondly at him, leaping to the side over large tufts of grass before flipping over his large paws and landing on his back. He squirmed, rolling over to push himself up and prance along. He gave a wide circle, not yet balanced enough to take circles tight withought falling over. He appeared behind the Zeta and cantered briskly up to trot by his side, raising his maw proudly to gaze fondly upon his newly-made friend. He listened intently to his words, admiring his wisdom and exhaling quietly through his nares in relief. He'd be sure to tell Bhreac and Mathias it was okay for him to love Quicksilver as much as he did. He grinned broadly and nudged in appreciation at the black wolf's leg.

The young Delta soon quickened his clumsy pace to reach Element's front. He jogged in front of him but to the side, his pale tongue lolling over a lower jowl comically as his two-toned tassel waved joyfully at his haunches. He perked his large, black-tipped ears as he once more mentioned games, and he eagerly beamed up at him and yipped playfully. He wasn't quite sure what kindof games he liked - it wasn't often he got to play with adults since his parents had many duties to tend to. He blinked thoughtfully before nipping at Element's forelimb and bolting with lack of proper balance from him Ch-chyou tagged! he called back stumbling occasionally over his puppy forepaws but miraculously managing to pull himself up and continue running (if you could call it running, that is...)

Shortish/bleh post. O.o

in this lifetime it better be the right time
the first time might be your last time

A grin broke out across his features as he watched the pup. It was apparent he didn’t have total control of his limbs quite yet. Element skipped forward at one point as Lonan tumbled through a tuft of grass, flipping head over paws and squirming around on the ground before jumping back to his feet. He bit back a laugh, not sure how judgmental the little guy would be about his flailing paws. It didn’t seem like he was embarrassed, because he turned back on Element with no less enthusiasm than before. “Paws running away from you there?” He joked.

Trotting along, he kept his watchful gaze half on Lonan as he scampered about and half on the landscape before him. He knew the direction to Strawberry Fields, and was slowly turning their walk on a path through the forest that would lead them there. His easy gait was interrupted when he felt a nip on his leg, and he looked down in time to see the gray back of the pup dashing away. So tag is was, eh? With a playful bark, he let Lonan take a brief lead before ducking his head and trotting off after him. The long strides of his leg could easily overtake the pups fumbling steps, and for now he kept an easy trot. “Better go fast, I’m right behind you!” Element called, taking a quick leap over a thicker section of foliage. And with that, he picked up his speed and was ready to return the tag.

You just don't stop posting, do you? xD

Element was catching up quickly, even if he was only trotting! Lonan looked back for a second before concentrating on darting away from the darkened male's tag. He gave a confused, quiet squeel and turned somewhat sharply - which he took pretty well considering his terrible clumsyness - and tolted his maw back to release a short and pleasant howl of victory. He grinned and peered back as his playmate and gave a somewhat shocked expression to find the white-muzled brute right behind him again. Digging his hinds into the ground he attempted to leap farther from him, but found it w as absolutely no use. He panted, looking around with bright baby-blue eyes for anywhere he could turn.

And there it was! Some kindof hole in the ground that he could slip into and Element could never reac him! He gradually edged towards it, and upon reaching its entrance he slid eagerly down into the burrow. However, he soon whined pathetically and couldn't get in any farther. Defeated yet again in his attempts, Lonan tried to turn round. But he was stuck! He couldn't, it was impossible. Giving a quick yowl for Element, the young Delta strained to push himself out. The only thing visable from the whole was his lengthy, white-splashed tassel which swayed behind him in embaressment.

Impatient, the young Prince growled at himself and squirmed, trying with all his power to get out. But nothing happened. Either Element would have to yank him out with his tail, or dig him out. Whimpering childishly, Lonan knew never to slip down into narrow rabbitholes again. Never!

No, I don't. Lol. ^^ Fast is fun!

in this lifetime it better be the right time
the first time might be your last time

Trailing after the pup was easy, and a laugh escaped him at the excitement emanating from the young Fielder. It was good to know he wasn’t a boring old wolf just yet! The thought kept the smile on his face, and he reached out a tentative paw to fake a swat at Lonan as he closed the distance again. But no, the fumbling puppy swerved away, dashing off again and trying to evade Element in their game of tag. It seemed something must have sparked his interest, because he took off in a bolt. Then Element saw what had caught his attention – a hole in the ground.

He had a gut feeling it would be a bad idea from the moment he’d seen Lonan diving into the hole. Frowning as he jumped to the entrance of the hole, then came the pitiful cry. Element’s ears scrunched, twitching at the noise as he lowered himself down to the ground level. “Lonan?” The little guy was squirming about, no doubt stuck. “Stop moving all around, okay.” What a great thing to tell his parents. Quicksilver, Green? I was going to lead him back home for you… but I’m afraid I let him get stuck in a hole. Sorry. He shook his head, dismissing the thought. No, it wouldn’t come to that. It was just a hole in the dirt, and if Lonan couldn’t wiggle out then Element could just dig him out. Plain and simple.

“Try to back out slowly, don’t squirm. If you can’t just tell me and I’ll dig you out, it’s okay. You’ll be out again in no time.” He almost had to smile. This seemed like just the thing he and his siblings would have gotten into when they were pups.

Teehee, poor Lonan-baby! Stuck down a hole... xD

Lonan would not give up! The claws of the youngster's lengthy hind legs dug deep into the terrain as he tried to pull himself out and pushing at the bottom of the tunnel with his front paws. He tried this for a few minutes - an eternity to Lonan - before he slumped down and refused to try any more It was no use, he wasn't strong enough and he'd bolted into the hole too far that it was tight around his haunches. Long back legs were not fun!

So he parted his jowls and whined loudly and pathetically in both his defeat and worry of never getting out of his prison. The rabbits were out to get him! They'd dug there den right here just to get him in. He could immagine them laughing at his state right now. Huffing at the thought, Lonan trailed off and ended with a growl that echoed down the burrow. He flickered back an ear, hearing what Element had said. he had alreadt stopped squirming - he'd given up alltogether. He frowned, telling himself mentally he was weak and gave up on everything. He tucked his tail neatly between his hind limbs, sending a whimper in Element's way.

I'sh stuuuck! He called back, trying to stand taller but hitting his head against the roof of the tunnell Hew'? he asked, imagining how embaressed he'd be when Bhreac or Mathias found out and teased him for it.

^^

He waited patiently (and maybe a little nervously…) as Lonan listened and tried to do what Element suggested. The older wolf knew he had to stay calm, just so that the little guy didn’t get any more scared than he was. Truly, the situation was okay. He hadn’t hurt himself and he wasn’t bruised and scraped. His shoulders may be a little sore tomorrow, but that was the worst of it. Except… well, being stuck in a rabbit hole. The problem was soon to be solved though. It was time to dig.

“Okay, stay still. I’m going to dig you out now, okay?” Then, as an afterthought he added: “Close your eyes too, so you don’t get any dirt in them accidentally. You’ll be out in a few minutes, don’t worry.”

He examined the hole for a moment, debating which side was best to dig out. Lonan’s flicking tail made him smile, and the Zeta bit his lip to hold back a chuckle that threatened to escape him. He knew it was best not to, that would probably made the pup feel a whole lot worse than he already did. Deciding that side didn’t really matter as long as he made the entrance wider, Element shrugged away his thoughts and moved closer to the hole. “Okay, here I go.” He started to work slowly, moving one paw after the other rhythmically as he kicked away the dirt and rock. Careful to avoid scraping Lonan with his paws, he moved at an angle, shifting around the entrance on the right side and slowly widening it. After about five minutes or so of his digging work Element stepped back. Now it was all up to Lonan. He could see the gap between the youths silvery haunches and the dirt wall now, so all he had to do was back up and he was free. “Go ahead, you can get out now.”

Post is crap, I'm sorry. =(

Lonan let his ears fall back as he hung his head shamefully. If he hadn't run down here, Element wouldn't be needing to worry - nor would his parents when they found out. he heaved a sigh of concern and regret, feeling the corners of his baby blue eyes dampen with tears of worry. But he closed his eyes when the raven Zeta kindly told him to, and his muscles tensed as he remained still. A pair of grey paws worked close to him, and Lonan tried to shift over a little farther. The youngster pressed up against the wall, letting his ears fall against his silvery head as his adult friend dug at the burrow. He quivered with impatience, wishing Element would hurry with his doings. But he said nothing, for it was his own fault for being trapped in the rabbit's burrow in the first place.

And soon, a light broke in and he squinted his gaze open toward it as he back up and looked over his narrow shoulders at his hero. He yipped and grinned up at the silver-faced male and wagged his lengthy tail joyfully. He turned and took a bound toward the wolf, nuzzling fondly in gratitude into his foreleg and curling around it before leaping out and turning to stare up at him. Tah-tahnk-ooo! He attempted his thankyou and grinned in triump at Element. The silver puppy tilted his maw back to give a short howl of pleasure, being free from the prison he'd been stuck in. He smiled and shook the dust from his fluffy coat, and gazed admiringly up at the silver-faced male. He tilted his head, curious as to how he'd react.

It wasn’t crap, it was fine. You write well. ^^

Do you want to start wrapping this up or continue some more? Either is fine with me. (And I'd love to have another thread with you sometime). =D

Lonan listened to Element dutifully, without any complaints or whines. That made the whole thing a lot easier. After the ebony male had finished his digging, the pup wiggled out, escaping from his dark trap and bound over to him, curling around his leg again and giving him a fond nuzzle. The Zeta smiled, appreciating the gesture and bending down to give the pup a soft nudge of his own. “It was no problem, kiddo. But I guess you’ve learned not to go jumping into random holes now, right?” Hopefully he’d learned that lesson, at least. If not… well, then hopefully he’d be around someone who liked to dig.

He looked back at the hole, (now fairly wider than it had been before) and smiled again, shaking his head with a chuckle. If it was still in use, some rabbit was going to come home and be a bit unhappy tonight. After that brief look, he turned his attention back to the pup. “Now… where were we before?” He said, tilting his head to the side like he was trying to remember. He knew precisely though, and a smirk weaved its way onto his muzzle. “Oh yeah, that’s right.” Straightening up, he winked to Lonan and then reached out with a dark paw, tapping the youngster on the shoulder lightly. “I guess you’re it now then.” With a wag of his tail and a pleasant woof, he skipped off in the direction of Strawberry Fields, slowly set on leading Lonan back there.

Awwwj, ch'you really thinks so? You're an awesome roleplayer! <3 Aaaand, I dunno. What d'you wanna do? I think we might be finished after one last post? O_o But I'd love another topic with you later, it was fun! =D

Uh-HUUUUH! Lonan responded loudly to the Shadower's question, and nipped thankfully at the limb he was curled round before leaping out from under him, to beam fondly up at the black-pelted male. He looked away for a moment, to catch Mount Shadow's Zeta's question of where they were, and looked round to feel the tap of his paw against his smaller frame. Looking a little confused for a moment, he perked upon remembering heir game of tag, and stumbled whilst attempting to bolt after the male who'd skipped off in the Strawberry Fields' direction. he gave a playful yip running clumsily toward the wolf's tail which hung limply between a pair of dark hinds.

He parted his jaws to snatch at it, but missed and took a lunge forth. He ran with the tail in his mouth before bracing himself and ending up dragged for a while as the male continued to prance along. Releasing the brute's tassel and jumping to the side, the Roux-Abrhen puppy gazed up at the Zeta with a mischeifous grin and picked up a little more speed to reach the front of his hero and trot clumsily, his pale tongue dangling from his lower jaw as he moved. He had tagged the brute by grasping his tail, and running at his front only left him open for another tag. But he didnt really care anymore. The heat was beginning to get to him, and Lonan was tired already from today's happenings. He even felt himself holding back a yawn.

He eventually slowed to a walk, giving up and looking sleepily up at the brute before realising he didn't even know his name. Cokcing his head a little, Lonan twitched his nose and questioned Wassah chyou nay-uhm?

I'll finish it with this post here. ^^ I'll PM you about another thread, too. La dee dahhh. T'was fun. Definetly need another.

The Zeta laughed at Lonan’s response. “Well, that’s good then.” At least the kid had learned his lesson sound enough. Once Lonan caught onto the game of tag again Element bounded off more, picking up his pace and throwing himself carefully (and calculatedly) ahead of the tiny pups running legs. Noticing with a look over his gray shoulder that it was his tail that was in danger, he flickered the plumed appendage to and fro, trying to keep it out of reach of the puppy jaws of doom.

No avail in that mechanism. Lonan got his tail anyway, grasping on tightly (though not painfully, which was good) and soon enough letting himself be dragged along as Element continued to move. With another laugh the Shadower slowed, and the pup took the opportunity to release his death grip on Element’s tail and bound to his front, placing himself at his side.

An ear perked as Lonan asked for Element’s name, and the Zeta looked puzzled for a moment. Hadn’t he said it earlier? Thinking back, he could have sworn so, but then realized the pup was right. He hadn’t introduced himself. Feeling rude, he frowned but then shook it off. “Element Parcurali,” he said easily, moving along on his pace towards Strawberry Fields. “Mount Shadow,” he added, jerking his head to the mountain visible peeking over the canopy in the distance. “Speaking of which, lets work on getting you home now, so your mom and dad don’t need to worry.” He offered a smile with the words, leaning down and nudging Lonan lightly on the shoulder in the direction of Strawberry Fields.
