Private again for the lover-ly Kira and her Kiriana. ^^
Set in Hickory Stream Woods.

Oh yeah... and I had to include the rabbit thing with the wand. Lol. Like in my stupid PM. xDDDD

in this lifetime it better be the right time
the first time might be your last time

Hopefully today was going to be one of the better days. They went up and down like some wild rollercoaster, one day his mate accepting him with open arms and the others he was stared down in fiery distrust. They had spent the night here in the woods, and he’d shaken himself from sleep early this morning to go catch her breakfast for when she awoke from peaceful slumber. At least when she was sleeping she didn’t have to deal with her sickness. He hated seeing her so knocked away from her usual self. For god’s sake, she’d even picked up a stick last night and tried to turn him into a rabbit like it was some magic wand. Actually, he was under the impression she did think it was some magic wand. Under any other circumstances the act would have been cute – even funny. Now it just depressed him because it showed how far the illness had caused his mate to stray from her norm.

Carrying his fresh catch in his jaws, Element trotted briskly back to where they had slept. This time around he’d found prey right away, a rabbit that he had caught off guard while it nibbled on the tender blades of green grass. Eat or be eaten, and in some cases be eaten while you were eating. Hey, that was how life worked. Things were tough. Not much you can do about it besides push on with all your ability day after day. Life was what made the world go round.

Element was just a couple of minutes away now, and along the way he’d stopped to pick up one more item to bring back to her. It had caught his attention while he was walking, and the male couldn’t resist picking it up and bringing it back to Kiriana. Maybe if she’d forgotten him again it would help spark her memory. At last he came back to where his mate lay, still sleeping. Element stopped to admire her in silence, a smile slicing across his features even with the rabbit still wedged in his jaws. Dropping it to the ground, he nosed the meal lightly to her, and then picked up the other item he’d dropped with it, clamping it in his jaws as delicately as he could.

“Kiiirrriiii,” Element sing-songed, nudging her muzzle gently with his own. “Wake uppp, I’ve got something for you.” Sure enough, held carefully in his mouth was the stem of a flower, the bloom wavering to the side of him as he stood there above her.

Since your post came before Atraiyu in time, I'm doing this one first, whoo.

From the moment she'd gotten up last night, she could've sworn she was in a different world. Everything was black, and so dark. But Element had told her it was just midnight. She thought she had maybe passed on to another life or something, but turns out she was still as good as new. But as soon as it had returned to morning, Kiriana had awoken with a startle, only a small one, that there he was. But he had reminded her that they were together, and she calmed right back down again. Plus, with the experience of last night, she remembered turning him into a small, black bunny. Obviously, the magic had worn off and he was back to his original state. Not that she minded, but she would've liked a bunny as a pet.

So, as her eyes came to a complete up from her sleep from his magical voice, she gave a gentle laugh, as to look at the flower that hung limp from his mouth. It seemed that the flower smelt of freshness, a new beginning, perhaps, but it wasn't spring, that was for sure. F...For me? she asked quietly, looking at the flower, then down at the small catch. She grinned at the food, seeing as she was quietly starving. It was horrible, her being a hunter, and yet she couldn't catch her own food for the sake of anything. You've brought me food, too, she said, looking at the piece of meat just waiting to be devoured. She moved closer to him, pushed her nose up to his, then quietly took the flower out of his muzzle.

She looked at the flower calmly, as she layed it down on the ground very softly. In awe, she grinned at the beauty of the flower, and the fact that he'd brought it for her. Thank you, Element, she added, as she lowered herself down onto the ground, to take a bite of the prey. Looking back up at him, she gave a gentle laugh, Would you like some, since you've helped me? she asked him, as she took another small bite, before scooting it over to him. He was very welcome to take a piece, he had helped catch it, so getting it must've made him at least a tad bit hungry.

Yay! And here I am already with a reply, lol.

in this lifetime it better be the right time
the first time might be your last time

So today was a better day. He could tell from the moment she awoke, her green eyes playing over him and taking in his picture. There was recognition in those eyes, and that was just the look he had been longing to see. “Morning, sleepy.” Element chirped. It seemed he was in a better mood altogether too. Being with her and seeing her doing okay did that too him. And knowing that maybe a little of it helping her was him added right on to that too. “How’re you feeling this morning?” He cocked his head slightly, voice still fairly cheery but laced with concern. It didn't look like she was in any pain or discomfort, and her eyes seemed clearer. There was none of that distant cloudy haze that seemed to filter through the green when she wasn't doing as well. He had a little headache today that he'd woken up with, but it wasn't any stronger than it had been days previously. All in all he was feeling good - and feeling very, very glad he hadn't gotten sicker.

In response to her he nodded, looking down at the rabbit then back to her face. “Of course.” That’s when he realized she was talking about the flower. “Oh… yeah. I saw it when I was coming back and I knew how much you loved these.” Smiling again, his plumed tail wagged behind him. “So, I picked it and here it is. For you.” He released his grip on the stem as she craned forward to take it from him, and then addressed her statement about the rabbit. “Yeah, I figured you may like some breakfast in bed.” He shifted his body, moving closer to her before plopping down contently before her. “You’re welcome. Anything you need Kiri, just tell me.” She offered him a bite, and he considered momentarily before declining with a shake of his head. “No, that’s alright. I had a little bite of something else earlier this morning. You’ve been asleep for a while.”

blahblahblah. trying out flutes, made me not in a roleplaying mood :(

And indeed, looking at that catch that her mate had caught her, made her very appreciative for having him. She couldn't do it on her own, without stumbling and tripping to get to her prey. Usually, she was fast on her feet, and there within minutes to take down her prey. Good Morning? she said calmly, looking at the sky, before realizing this was another one of her sky mix-ups, ohyes! Good morning, she made-up, looking like a goof with that grin of hers. How am I feelin'? she asked calmly, as she twirled her head around the angles of her body, making sure she had every limb. I think I'm doin' alright, she responded, as she looking at the piece of meat once more.

At the response that this catch was indeed hers, and the flower was for her, she gave a goofy grin. And if she could blush, she would've been a blazing strawberry at that very moment. Yes. Flowers were something she took a lot of interest in, even if it seemed she would much rather roll around in them. She would often do that, but flowers meant a lot more to her than playfully romping in them. Thank you, Ele, she said, giving a small smile. Yes, I'm starving for food, yet again. I just wish I could get my body out there to get some, but with the rain thats coming down so hard on my back, I cannot see where I'm going, there she was again, hallucinating that rain was indeed beating down upon her back quite heavily. Oh? I've been sleeping out in this downpour for a while? Hmm.,

Flutes! Lalala. I’ve never tried to play a flute. O.o They sound really nice though (when people can actually play, of course). And omg, 389 posts! Almost to 390 and from there 400! Woot! Feel like having a posting spree tonight? Ehehehe. *Cackles* Lol.

He watched her carefully as she looked upward, trying to figure out if morning was indeed the time of day. The smile lingered carefully on his face as she turned to him with a goofy grin. He was still interested to know how she felt, yet half his question had been answered already. Was the confusion still there? Check. He sighed inwardly. This didn’t seem so far like it was something that was going to go away on its own. “That’s good. Better than last night then?” She was staring intently at the meat now, and he just kept his own focus on her.

“You’ll get better soon and you’ll be able to get out there hunting again. For now the best thing is to sit and get some good rest; that’s what you need. Don’t want to overwork yourself too soon.” The first half of her statement was normal enough, but the second half made the Zeta cock a brow. Rain? His only explanation was another hallucination. It hadn’t rained a drop for days. Glancing skyward, he searched for even a sign of a rain cloud intruding on the blue of the sky. Nothing.

Was it better to point out she was imagining the rain or to let it be? He hadn’t decided yet what would be better for her – and for him. Element didn’t want her to react badly and argue with him, that would just make it worse for the both of them. But… he couldn’t let her sit there and believe some of these things. That couldn’t be good either. With a deep sigh, he looked at her and shook his head, grimacing slightly. “Kiri, hun, it’s not raining.” His voice was simple but effective. Element was obviously put off by the fact she was yet to get better and let these hallucinations drift away. At least this one was better than the magic wand though. “I wouldn’t let you lay out in the rain like that,” he added. Of course he wouldn’t! Not in her current state. “Take a look down at your paws, no water, Kiri. And at me. See?” He gestured downward at himself, and then turned his gaze back to her. “No water. It’s just your imagination – but that’s okay, it’s just because you’re not feeling good. It’ll go away soon enough.” At least he sure hoped it would. He didn’t want to make her nervous either. What the hell was he supposed to say? Kiri, I’m sorry but I have no idea how to fix this and I don’t know if you’ll ever get better. Sorry dear. Yeah, right. That would go over well.

i need diet coke. thats what keeps me in roleplay mood, i think. After this lame post, i have to go to sleep. :( sorry about the no posting spree tonight.

For all those mutilated, she felt very at score with everyone in her path. She wished there was a better way to go about this scene in her life, as she hated not being able to tell right from wrong or anything close to it. To her name, lay not one, but two things she needed to remember in her life whilst she was sick. That was her dearest Element and her child, Akeboshi. Even as he explained that she was sick, she still had yet to believe in such a thing, in a way, she didn't think she was sick. As she didn't feel anything inside of her, she just felt sleepy and stumbly, and very troublesome. She blamed all of these problems on the food, all because she liked to eat food, and that was normally what she did.

Not infinitely better, she responded, as she saw the genuine facial expression of his, But I want to be able to catch my own food again, she complained, giving a short growl, wanting to get back out into the world of her hunting skills. But now looking out at the weather, she still saw the raindrops falling in front of her face. But in fact, the raindrops she saw weren't raindrops. Instead, it was something else. No, it is raining! Your just blind! she told him, her eyes looking down at the floor, seeing the sprinkles running still north and south. Its not my...its not my... she mumbled, as all of a sudden, her body collapsed into an ungodly matter. Her mind had gone blank, as she had passed out with such confusion.

She was starting to get a little grumpy, but he didn’t blame her at all. Hell, he’d be downright grumpy all the time if he was so sick. Well, if he even realized he was sick. Something told the charcoal coated male that Kiriana didn’t entirely believe him. Part of her seemed indifferent to it all. With a sigh, he nodded his head. “Well, at least you’re feeling a little better then.” A little was better than nothing at all. A little each day would slowly lead her to her full health. Slowly, yes – but surely all the same. Once she was healthy and back to her normal self things would be so much easier. ‘Once was the keyword in that thought though. Once could be any amount of time ahead in the future and he had no control of where or when.

Growling a complaint about not being able to get out and hunt, Element sympathized with her inwardly. He hated to be stuck and struck down, unable to fend for himself and having to rely on others. The male did things for himself. He had no problem helping out others in any way he could, but when it came to his own well being Element liked to be the one in charge.

She didn’t take well to his words. Immediately her brow furrowed as the looked upward towards whatever rain she was seeing, and started to retort. Immediately he felt bad for even bringing it up. Opening his mouth to try and comfort her before she dropped to a new level of confusion, he watched wide eyed as her eyes rolled and she dropped right to the ground. Instead of his comforting words a profanity slipped out, short and simple. “Shit!” he growled, eyes narrowing as he pulled himself closer to her. He knew he shouldn’t have told her; he should have just let her mind work itself out and untie its own knots. But no – he didn’t. And now she had passed out. A whine escaped through his parted lips, and he lifted his paw to tap her lightly on the shoulder. Would she be okay when she awoke? Or would she forget him and everything else all over again. Next time he was just going to keep his mouth shut.

growl. i just woke up, so this might get nasty.

Feeling a little bit better? Maybe on the outside, but not on the inside. She had felt her body tense up right before she'd passed out, and now she felt like a recorder that was just saying on one note and never changing. She felt absolutely horrible, her mind racing and her body as loose as saint patricks day now. As time went by, her mind didn't linger on the unimportant things that were needed. She zoomed through thoughts about her sickness, what she'd done around the valley, what she had, what she drank. Now that she remembered it, she'd eaten a large rabbit, and drank from the Morning Glory Cascades, before returning home to her den. How very pleasant. For now, she knew that she drunk as a pirate as sea, with nothing except a sickness to actually help her live. She wanted to go back home, and see that pup in which he'd said was hers. She needed to see a young pup in order to feel like this wasn't going to last.

Her heart was beating at a fairly fast rate, and for a good twenty five minutes, she was out cold. Her body had to be freezing from her sickness, as her memory had indeed spotted a relapse. There was movement in her left paw, as she pulled it back. Then for another few minutes, there was no movement from the canadian. After that, her eyes had finally come open, as it searched around in front of her, before turning her head to see the black wolf. Are you a wizard? was the first thing that came out of her mouth. She'd had dreams of herself and her playful stick, and that was what brought on the silly question. She had a small rememberance of who he was. She knew they were 'close' buddies, and that there was nothing more to the name. Still in her slightly weak stage, she didn't move the rest of her body from the laying position. She held close to the ground, just so nothing else could happen. Indeed, she felt stoned from this sickness. And someone had to have found a cure soon for her.

I'm using your table once in this thread because I want to test it out and all... and because I can't resist, heh. Then I'm going back to Green's though, because I'm not done with it yet. ^^
KIRA MADE THIS PRETTY TABLE, EVERYONE! Lol.
She had passed out, plain and simple, and there wasn’t much he could do to wake her until she climbed back out of that hole herself. In the meantime, he silently cursed himself for making his decision to work against her with words like that, and promised next time he’d just let it take its course. He wouldn’t go along with everything that came out of her mouth, but whatever he just couldn’t pass over he’d have to act along with rather than shove it back in her face. As he looked over it again now, Element felt rather ashamed. She was sick and she was hallucinating, and Kiriana couldn’t help it. Why did he have to confuse her and make it worse?

His head had been resting across his folded forepaws the last twenty minutes or so, his eyes closed to the world as he listened and thought. Suddenly, her paw stirred, and he opened his lids slowly, peeking out at her face. No, still nothing. It was just a twitch, and she was back out like a light. Sighing for what must have been the tenth time in the past hour or so, he shifted, lifting his head from his paws and gazing out across the surroundings. It was an okay day, the heat less intense that the former. The darker and shaded nature of the woods probably helped that too.

A rustling noise near Kiri. No… wait, the rustling noise was Kiri! He turned back to her, looking intently as he met those green eyes with his grays. “How do you fee-” his question was cut off with her own as she looked at him hopefully. A wizard? Did she just ask him if he was a wizard? Grimacing, his entire features drooped as Element shook his head sadly. “No… I’m no wizard. It’s just me, Element.” Had she forgotten him all over again? There was some recognition in her eyes, but not the loving expression he could usually find. So here they were back at step 1 again.

im so unmuselike right now, but I'm wanting to just post, not sure why. But yeah. I have one other place I need to post, but I'm lazy =/

Her body felt as cold as the last planet from the sun. Her tail hadn't moved very much, and her body had been so stone cold that she felt pains in her body. For moments uneasy, this was a harsh one. She saw very painful eyes in the male, but yet didn't know the cause. So, she looked back out into the wild, looking at the scenery. Where am I? she asked quietly, not very sure where she had been placed. She couldn't remember the very many places she'd visited, very few did she recall visiting. You could say she was as stuck as a sheep with a coyote. She didn't know what to make of this, but she did by watching the lovely scenery from behind green eyes. She saw beautiful flowers, and she saw large trees filled with many leaves at the top, and from their musty branches. This was mother nature, the story that everyone knew.

I feel... she started, looking at the situation through hand and hand, I feel a tad overwhelmed, she ended. Looking over at him again, she noticed how he seemed a tad bit upset. Perhaps she was supposed to say a certain feeling of hers. Looking back at the scenery, she felt slightly pressured to say something specific, like she'd let him down. Your not a wizard? her voice strained, as she wanted a wizard, Oh. Yeah, Element. Ele, she stated, looking at him kindly. Perhaps she was losing her cool with all of this, and losing her mind even more with this competitive kind of 'lets see who gets to where first' kind of attention. Drifting back to her soul life, she remembered few things. She remembered her sister, yes. Poor June was probably lost in a faint idea of hope. Kiriana just wished she'd done the same.

I'm gonna have to go in about an hour because I'm heading to my dads place. No computer for four days. >.<

in this lifetime it better be the right time
the first time might be your last time

Right now Element felt worn out. He’d been trying so hard to care for her in any way he could, and none of it was working. It was dawning on him that this was something that wasn’t just a cold. You couldn’t just take a nap and feel better when you woke up. This thing, this illness, it slowly got worse. It did seem that every time Kiriana rose from her sleep something else was off or that she had drifted further and further away from him. How long was it going to be until she was so far out at sea that he couldn’t throw her a safety line anymore?

Overwhelmed. That’s what she whispered, speaking quietly and softly. He could share the feeling. All of this was overwhelming – for everyone and every thing that had to grit their teeth and bear it. At least he wasn’t sick, that’s what the Zeta kept reminding himself. At least he wasn’t sick and that he was here and able to care for her and anyone else that needed it. Other’s were doing the same thing, and the medics were about searching for cures. His wind wandered, trying to think of the select medics he knew that may be out and about. Gracie Bug, she was the Mount Shadow Medic. Sure enough she was out looking for a cure, right? Then there was Indris… but he was a beta now, so his co rank was no longer official. Would he still be out searching? Ahanu he remembered, the good natured male who he’d met a while back. He was a medic too. Element couldn’t remember anyone else, but he jotted down a mental reminder to try and speak with any of the three. There had to be progress somewhere.

“No, I’m not a wizard, sorry.” She seemed disappointed, and he frowned further. “Was… was that what you wanted?” If that was what she wanted to hear, well, maybe he would try to act along a bit better. Kiriana may need some comic relief right now to help edge down her stress levels – and his own. So if she really wanted a wizard, he’d try his best to be a wizard for her.

out of character…
*giggles insanely* :o I was lazy. so I didn't get this up till the 17th.

inside character…
Kiriana was beginning to think that this was all a lie. This damn sickness was really getting to her head with the headaches, and the faintness, and the drowsiness. She couldn't help but think that everything was a lie. Was she sick? Or was she just mad behind relief? Thinking awfully to herself, she knew there was something wrong with this. Element thought she was crazy and he was disappointed. She snarled to herself mentally, telling herself that no one should be disappointed. This was her fault, as she probably ate something that caused this, or something of the latter. She was beginning to feel under the weather for this day, but she always feel a bit under the weather since this sickness had drowned upon her. She was trying her best to pretend like she was okay, but her mind was numb, she could barely stand up, and for gods sake she thought she was a sorceress, and that element was a magical wizard that could zap everything to bunnies.
Your not a wizard? she repeated after he proclaimed he wasn't. She frowned once more, as she dropped her muzzle to the ground. She liked magic, magic was fun. She could turn innocent little fluffy bunnies into frogs, and vice versa. she could turn Element into a bunny, and be happy. I wanted a boy wizard to train me in my studies of magic, she replied, grinning sheepishly to herself, as she looked up at the dark male that loomed near her. Was he just joking that he wasn't the wizard? Or he secretly was, and was going to go behind a bush, and change into his handsome costume? Kiriana smiled to herself, as she lifted her head up, hoping that he was indeed that wizard that she knew he had to be. Otherwise, why was he in the magical salvaje valley if he wasn't a wizard? Everyone in the salvaje valley was inclined to magic, so he had to be some kind of professional teacher. Kiriana thought back to the den, and how she had found that akeboshi really was adopted, and that she was a happy wolf, just sad to see that she was sick, and majorly tired of her days work.

Hehe, no problem. Kinda short reply, sorry.

in this lifetime it better be the right time
the first time might be your last time

She frowned at him, noticeably disappointed that he wasn’t all she had thought he was cracked up to be. If he could have been a wizard for her Element would have clicked his teeth and transformed right there and then – anything at all he could try and do to please her. But no… he had no powers other than the abilities blossoming right now to worry deeply over his dearest mate and stay right by her side. “Sorry Kiri, no, I’m not.” There was a frown on Element’s face too, and even though he knew her request was silly (not to mention impossible) part of him still wanted to do anything to give her what she wanted. So with a sigh, he tried to bring a smile across his handsome features. “But… you could always show me how and who knows, maybe I’ll catch on real quick.” Would the idea strike her fancy? “Instead of training you, you can train me. How about that?” Either way this would be an interesting day.

Whether he was making the right choice or the wrong one to delve deeper into her hallucinations he still was unsure of, but for now it seemed like it would be the only thing to comfort her and make her happy. Her ease and pleasure was his main goal. It wasn’t only his goal, it was his job. He lived for her and he wanted to do all he could to make things okay. And damn, if she wanted to see him as a wizard to make her happy he’d try and do it. “So go ahead, let’s see you teach me a few things.” One ear flickered uncertainly, and he fought to keep the smile honest on his maw. Kiriana didn’t seem like she was going to get any better on her own and he hoped she wouldn’t get any worse, so why not give her any of the simple pleasures she wanted. Even if he did look like a fool in the process. This was his mate, and he loved her, so who cared.

Kiriana was eager to get to start practicing with her so called 'teacher'. She felt eager to start her training with the male, eager to begin her very tactful endurance of a sorceress. What all was there to know? How to say the spells right, and how to do something? Even though Kiriana felt slightly on an odd stance with herself at the moment, realizing that she was indeed coming off as a tad strange. As well as that, at the response that she got from him, saying that he was indeed not a wizard. Perhaps he was some evil doer out to destroy the wizard and witch race? No, he seemed to sweet to be something like that. Me? Train you? she asked quizzically, wondering just how important she was to Mount Shadow, and to him. He was her mate, was he not?

Watching him, she could only imagine him as a male who was slightly depressed about life. He seemed so depressed about everything in his life, perhaps it was all having to do with her? How she was always very odd compared to the other wolves that she'd witnessed lately. Looking at him once more, she took in the words that he spoke, and offered them back out from her ears. She was still kind of flabberghasted that he wanted her to teach him. She was just an underling to this magic stuff, at least from what she knew. W-well you get a wand, like this, she said, picking up a rather thick stick, and grinning quite madly, Well, you can make up any word, that you invented yourself, point it at something, and you can turn it into a rabbit or a rodent or something! she grinned, leaping in the air frivolously, liking how she seemed very intelligent in the field of magic.

And now we wrap this up. ^^

in this lifetime it better be the right time
the first time might be your last time

His head hung lower than usual, his dark shoulders slumped and a defeated look clearly plastered over his figure. Depression wasn’t the word for it – he knew he wasn’t horribly depressed or even terribly sad. He wouldn’t admit he wasn’t entirely, for that would be a lie, but all in all Element was unsure. Lost may be a good word to fit in there too. And defeated sidled right up alongside. Here was his mate who barely remembered him and was sick with an illness she didn’t even know she had. And she thought she was a wizard. Oh life was such fun sometimes, wasn’t it?

His mood rose and fell, trying to grasp the best of each moment and situation with all he could offer. The most positive thing he could wrap his thoughts around was the fact that he was here for her now and would be until she got better, and that he could help her as much as his limits stretched. If he had possessed the magical powers he’d cure her on the spot and love to head back to the den and get a good night sleep. All three of them – her, him, and Akeboshi.

Kiriana seemed to take to his idea, a little stunned at first but then adapting well. His mate even appeared excited about the prospect of teaching him, so that brought a true smile to his face. Smiling helped; even if it made things just a little brighter and a little easier that little bit still meant something. At least she was happy. That was the main thing. Turning his focus on her words Element nodded, preparing himself to tune into what she was saying with all of his attention and maybe learn a few things about this mystery world she was living in right now. Either way, he knew one thing for sure.

This was going to be one of many very, very long days.
