For teh one and only, Jen & Element <3 zomgz. Set on Illusion Hill.
As long as she'd been in the valley, she knew that mount shadow was the only home for her, no where else seemed to be fittable to her lifestyle. Mount Shadow was her home, because she had friends and family there, they were the only ones that kept her from going insane, probably, although she was already doing just that. So, with looking at that indecesive idea, she could only imagine what others were there. Last night, Element and herself had made a small home for the night in a tree, just because it had been too late to travel back. They'd stayed up all night, looking at the stars, and telling stories, but yet that nauseous feeling had knocked her out last night, and she knew that had to be the case, since she didn't remember falling asleep. Without disturbin the male this morning, she'd crawled out of that tree hole, and gone out near to the hole, just to watch for something to chase, and nothing came.
A few squirrels were up in the trees, but nothing more than that. She began to walk forward, before turning around to head back into the hole, and seeing a giant rock wall, that seemed so enticing, and had a few foot-spots where she could be able to climb that ledge. She raced back into the den-like home, and began to nudge the black male. Get up, get up! We're going to go rock climbing! Come on, she yelled, as she raced back out of the den, and began to jump outside, waiting for him to come outside to play with her outside, and to possibly rock climb with her. she used to be way too small and limber to be able to do this, but now that she had better balance, she'd be able to, without getting hurt, so she was excited. Especially since Element would get to watch her and see how athletic she was at climbing things.

Something was pulling the Zeta from his sleep, tugging away strands of his unconscious mind and throwing him back into reality. But you know what; he didn’t feel like it just yet. With a groan, he turned on his side and curled up further, bringing his white-tipped tail to his face and flopping it over his nose. Yet something still prodded him from his sleep, a consistent nudge that was pulling his boat back in from its sleep drift out at sea. With another unhappy groan at having to rise, he shifted again, slowly lifting one heavy lid to the morning light. Or daylight. Or afternoon light. Whatever time it was.
He squinted immediately as the sun met his peeking silver eye, and as his gaze settled and the sleep haze disappeared, Kiriana came into his focus. Oh, so it had been her that was nudging him. Blinking, his mind scraped momentarily for a reason. She was up early today, that was for sure. Yawning wide, he stretched his long legs out before him and shook himself out, trying to push away the ache of a long nights sleep. Giving a quick shake of his head, he turned towards Kiriana with a raised brow.
“Mornin’ then,”
he said quietly, another yawn dissolving the last of his words. Slowly her words began to come to him, forming sentences instead of bouncing aimlessly around.
“Wait… huh?”
He was never the brightest light in the morning.
“Rock climbing?”
Another staggered blink. More silence. Was she serious?
From her excited expression and wordless enthusiasm it seemed so.
"Kiri, hun, you know... I don't know if that'd be the best idea." She was still sick, wasn't she? He eyed her cautiously, examining her movements. At least this was one morning she woke up and remembered who she was. Inching closer to her on his belly, Element nudged her neck softly, leaning against her lightly.
"How about we just stay in here?"

:D I'm a retard. I had originally going to put it in Gold Moon Forest, and then decided to change to a more mountainy area, so I made the post to be going to siena mountain, and yeah, i posted it here instead XD
She was in a bit of a hurry to scurry towards the beautiful mountain side of where she wanted to head off, because she was indeed happy this morning. She wanted to go exploring, and head off on a wonderous journey through the wilderness. She was ready and up, and wanting to go exploring with element, just for the heck of it. Morning, Buddy! she yelled, as she hopped around outside of the den, glad that she was indeed up, and ready to go rock climbing. She really wanted Element to come and join her in rock climbing, just because it'd be just so much fun to have a loving fun thing to do. Yeah! she yelled, rather excited. We're going to go rock climbing! she added, grinning ear to ear, ready as heck to begin to climb.
Hearing his very protective words, she shook her head, kind of upset that he would even say something like that. You don't think I can rock-climb, do you? she yelled, quite unhappy that he didn't believe in her, and that he was bringing her ego down. How dare he try to push her away from it. Feeling the soft nudge from him, made her calm down a lot, and she considered just staying there, but she wanted to show her athletic side besides her hunting side. No! I want to rock climb! she yelled, as she began to run towards the mountainous side, and began to paw her way up it. Look! Aren't I so majestical up here! she yelled, pretending like she was the owner of that large hill of a mountain, glad that she was being brave enough to climb again.

Haha.
I find myself snickering at him wanting her to stay in, because when I was writing it I didn't even think until after just what it may seem like he's implying. Lmao. Tsk. Tsk. Tsk. xDDD

His sterling gaze followed her as she bounced around inside the den they had discovered the night before (and decided to sleep in once they had been reassured it didn’t belong to anyone in particular anymore). She wasn’t just awake early, she was bouncing off the walls and as chipper as a child. At least she was until she caught his distaste in the idea.
“No no, I don’t think that at all Kiri,”
he covered, shaking his head.
“I just thought that… well,”
cover yourself Ele. You don’t want her mood to slip like last time
“-That… maybe we could stay in a while more. Like I said.”
He gave her a hopeful smile, adding to the look with a half shrug of his silvery shoulders.
Where she had come up with the rock climbing idea he didn’t know, but she really was dead intent on doing it. The excitement gleaming in her eyes made it hard for him to want to object… but flinging yourself around boulders when you’re ill isn’t the best plan. What if she blacked out and fell? What if anything happened? It was too late to retort again to the idea, for she had already started to bolt away.
“Oh…”
Element muttered dully for a moment as he watched her speed off. Then, eyes widening as he watched her galloping towards the rocks
“Oh!”
Damn!
“Kiri!”
He called out, scrambling to his feet and nearly tripping over his paws as he wiggled out of the den. The entrance had been the perfect size for her, but his broader shoulders had confronted a bit more difficulty going in and out. And now he experienced it again here. Pushing himself forward he escaped the hole in the ground, taking off after her with furrowed brows. How was a sick wolf so darn hyper?

ohmygosh! lmao! Element wants to get down and dirrrrrrty! :O!!!
Indeed, she was deadset on climbing up those rocks, to enjoy that great view in which could indeed be the breath of a lifetime. She wanted to enjoy herself, instead of others that keep telling her she's sick. She hated being told that she sick, she hated it. No one would believe that she was fine, she just needed rest, and everyone would say she needed to go visit a damn medic. No one could cure her, and honestly, she didn't know what to do. They'd found no cure so far, and she wasn't about to go scamper off into any uncharted woods, just to figure the cure out. She didn't like being told she couldn't do things, and with element telling her that she couldn't do rock climbing, sick or not, made her very unhappy. No, Ele. You did mean it, you were saying I couldn't rock climb.
There wasn't any use in him trying to deny that he had said such a thing. She didn't want to stay inside the home for a little bit longer. She didn't want to be cramped up in side of their anymore. She was hooked on getting out of this place, and doing a little fun, more fun than sitting in that abode and soaking in heat from their bodies. She wanted to have some fun. Come on pussy! Lets go climbin', she called out, happy to know that she was getting out, whilst he was chasing after her. Climbing upon those dangerous rocks, she could feel her adrenaline pumping, and her greatest feelings soar. She was feeling fairly well for being sick, but she knew it wouldn't last exactly long. Jumping up one more flight of rocks, she landed on a fairly large ledge, where she could rest all her paws on that ledge, and it fitted all her paws on there, so there was no worries.

He sat there like a scolded pup for a moment, trying to keep a visible from crossing his features as she shot his words back at him. So much for trying that one. Not wanting to press her mood any further, he tried to avoid the rest of the topic altogether, finishing with a smile and a sigh. There was no winning, so he best not try. Annoying any female had its dangers, but when she was your mate… You best learn when to shut your mouth, or sick or not, you were in for it. The young Zeta had learned that already. The thought of it brightened his smile another notch.
There was no more dwelling on any of that now though, because she was out on the rocks and he was coming after her. Following her to the rocky part of the hill, he bit his lip as he tried to come up with an easy way of changing her mind. He didn’t want her to get hurt, and this didn’t seem like a good way to justify that. Why couldn’t she have wanted to go chase butterflies or something. Rock climbing… they lived on a mountain for gods sake. Element almost chuckled, but shook it back and followed after her. If he couldn’t get her down from the rocks (which he didn’t think was likely), he could at least follow her and make sure nothing happened.
“Alright, alright! You win!”
He called, placing his first steps on the harder earth. She had already gone higher than he would have hoped she would, and the only choice was bringing himself right up there too.
“I’m coming up.”
With a grunt, he launched himself onto a larger boulder, landing on top of it and keeping his sight divided between her and his surroundings. “Be careful for good footholds, Kiri. Don’t want to slip.”
She seemed to have found a good ledge, and the male continued upward. He hadn’t woken up this morning expecting to be doing this.

<3 It happens now. A little early, but its a good point :3
She was honestly happy that he'd resorted to climbing with her, because now she wouldn't have to see the view from up there all by her lonesome self. She could easily nestle up to element, and lay there for the day and take a nap by each other, and be happy for once in her sick lifetime. She wanted to do more with her life, than just spend it resting and being under extreme care. She wanted to have fun, whilst she was still alive, since no one knew if this sickness was fatal, or any of that crap that kept running through her mind. She wasn't sure if this would be her last breath of air forever, if she'd ever be alive again, or not, but she wasn't afraid of anything, except for never being alive again. There were plenty of things that she still wanted to do in her life, and one of those, was to have children, which she wasn't planning on doing for a while, because that held big consequences.
She was beginning to love the view already, proud that she had seen this large rock ledge and wanted to climb it. Now that Element wasn't climbing with her, she felt just about invincible. But that was a lie. As she hopped onto the next ledge, her sickness caught into motion, as she stumbled towards the edge of the ledge, slipping on a loose rock on the edge, and falling off of the side, first her back hitting the side of the mountain, then bringing back down towards Element. A large whine escaped her muzzle, as she felt herself hit him on the back of the leg, and then hitting the ground with a forceful hit, her body limp, yet still breathing and her eyes closed. This felt horrible, and she had to experience it. Oi, she mumbled only breaking through her muzzle, as she made no other movement, her whole body hurting to move at all, she'd just stay there until he could help up.

in this lifetime it better be the right time the first time might be your last time
It seemed as if the Zeta was muttering under his breath as he climbed higher, but the words couldn’t be heard. He proceeded slowly, hoping that maybe she’d stop and wait for him and he could stall her – change her mind and have them head back down. It wasn’t that he didn’t like to climb; the mountain dweller loved it. He just knew that right now it really wasn’t the best idea. Illness and extreme supports didn’t fit hand in hand. Or paw in paw. Or however you wanted to say it.
“Almost there,”
he called. Another leap and he was on another rock, and with a few brisk pulls of his legs he stood on a flatter part of earth, a little less inclined than the others. That’s when it happened. Above him he heard her shrill whine, and with a jolt all of his attention was on his mate. This was exactly what he hadn’t wanted to happen, and precisely what he had wanted to avoid.
Element’s eyes widened as he watched her stumble, all of it seeming to happen in slow motion as she fell. It took him a second to realize that she was also falling towards him. He had just the time to mouth a quiet ‘uh oh’ and when there she was, colliding into him as she tumbled and rolled right down what she had climbed. He grunted as she hit him, banging right into his leg and proceeding to knock all four limbs out from under him. His chin came down first, thumping hard down on the stone and resulting in a loud clip of his teeth striking together.
Luckily he didn’t roll, but even as his legs went down he hadn’t managed to catch Kiriana. She continued to tumble as he laid there, his motion held still only by the more secure way he had fallen and the less steep patch of land he had been standing on. With a groan he rose to his feet, making sure he had his footing before turning and looking down. Immediately fear took over and he forgot his bruised chin, and in a handful of quick motions he was leaping down the rock and at her side.
“Kiri, are you okay? Talk to me here. Are you hurt anywhere?”
Concern laced his words, and he knelt down beside her, nudging her chin softly with his muzzle. He had far better sense than to say ‘I told you so’ just yet.

From what she didn't know had happened, she was pretty damn sure that her life was pretty darn fucked up right now. She was a clumsy bitch who just couldn't handle herself, and had gotten into this mess. Instead, her mind was completely off. She couldn't help but feel like she had let everyone down, just by falling off of that rugged cliffside. Boy, was she a jerk to go against what Element had said to her. Everything she had wanted, was just to climb up that hill, to impress him and make herself feel very proud of herself for being athletic. Maybe, if they ever found a cure, she'd show him, just how flexible should could be getting up there, but for the record, all she felt at the moment was pure remorse for falling, and the fact that he, of all wolves, had jynxed it.
Yeah! she yelled, unhappy, as she lifted her head up off the ground, snorted out of her nose before looking at that same paw. You jynxed me, moron. You said don't fall, and look what you go and make me do, she mumbled, you made me collapse. She slowly picked herself up, completely ignoring the nudge that he gave, and began to limp back to that comfy burrow in which they'd slept last night. Boy, she was most definetly bipolar when she was sick, that was for sure. She hurt in so many places, even her tail, and now her paw felt injured as hell. This was the first time she'd ever been seriously injured in the salvaje valley, and she wasn't very glad it was her 'first' one either.

Element's experiencing Kiriana's wolven version of PMS. Lmao. Poor guy. This is just another example of how much control us women can have, haha. ^^

His tongue slipped gently out of his mouth and he ran it over his chin, and he grimaced when he tasted the metallic tang of blood. It wasn’t a lot, nor was the pain bad, but the scrape was just enough to be annoying. Frowning at the state of things, he drew back when Kiriana shouted, noticing right away the unhappy and definitely unpleasant tone of her voice. The Zeta had a bad feeling he was about to receive the underside of that temper.
“Here… let me help.”
From this point on he had to pick his words very, very carefully.
Too late. Her next words came in a hurry and she spat back at him, sending the larger male a step back and with a wide eyed expression at the sudden temper change. She’d been blossoming with excitement and cheerfulness a moment before, and now here she was on the other side of things, turning the events around and in return blaming him.
“Wait---what?”
Standing there with his jaw opened, he stared at her in amazement. He almost wanted to shake his head and laugh at how silly it all was, but the shock of her sudden change in temperament cast that idea away.
“I was only trying to help…”
Came the quieter voice.
And she was off again. This time back on her feet and heading back to the den. He watched her tawny back spring away from him in silence before jumping up and following.
“Kiri! Hold on!”
Sprinting over, he placed himself at her side, offering another nudge fondly to her neck.
“If your hurting let me help… tell me what’s wrong. Here, lean on me if you need to.”
Oh this would be just another lovely tally on their list of fun days so far.

Sorry for the mood of this post. I kind of just went through a crying breakdown because of my life going-ons right now.
Indeed, she knew exactly what hate was, and wasn't afraid to say that she was feeling a tad off-cue about this situation. She was pretty sure that she had cold remorse for this whole event. Sure enough, she had been very excited at one point, but as she hit the ground, her moods had altered, and now, she felt hate and that was it. Hate for the world and everyone in it. I don't need any help, she snarled, as she was close to the home in which they'd slept last night, and she could only wish that things would be easier on her walk back to mount shadow. He'd have to escort her back, which would be difficult for her ego to let him do, seeing as her body was trembling with pain, but she wouldn't let him see that at all.
she could hear the lithe paws of his jumping towards her direction, wanting to follow her. She knew he probably just wanted to keep an eye on her, and it made her slightly angry that he would think she couldn't handle herself. Man, he needed to realize she was independent. My paw is injured, dipstick. I'm fine, she growled, clearly lying when her paw was hurting like hell and she was covering it all up pretty well. I don't need to lean on you, I don't need any help, she commented, still moving forward to avoid eye contact with him, and for her body to not be touching him. If he did touch her, that would just leave her vulnerable, in which she was, but she wasn't going to let her pain show through her movements and let her feelings soar. This was her life, and she was going to guide it.

Oy, I'm sorry. =/
in this lifetime it better be the right time the first time might be your last time
They were moving in the direction of their little makeshift den they had stayed in the night before, and Element kept an easy pace at her side as they went along. She was in a mood, that was for sure. Her snarling words bit at him, and instead of replying with words he nodded and issued some guttural grunt. He kept telling himself it was her sickness talking, and that if she was well she would never be this way. It was just because she was ill and not feeling good, and now she was in pain on top of all that. Nodding to himself, he kept moving, keeping that clear thought focused dead center of his mind.
Except… at her next few statements and the tone of the words that entwined them that thought was blown entirely away. He stopped in mid step, paw dangling in hesitation of another creep forward, and staring at her in something much like disbelief as she moved on. The snarl before had been easy to ignore, attached to just simple words as she tried to care for herself. But the growl was attached to insult, and then the following sentence after left him standing in the dust. Quite literally, at that.
His tongue came out over his chin again and over the scrape without him realizing it, and he barely felt the little sting it produced. Struck by her attitude and words overall, he was frozen in place. What next?
She was far ahead when he regained himself, and with flattened ears and gritted teeth he started to move again.
“Yeah… alright,”
he muttered, probably loud enough for her to hear if she cared to listen. Instead of following her into the den or even particularly close, he swerved around and threw himself down outside and around the back of the hole, settling in the dirt and grass and shutting his eyes to the world.
“I’ll be out here. Not helping. Just like you want.”
The words came sharp, and this time the growl actually did sound in the sentences, even if it was only the beginnings of one. He bit it back, knowing he shouldn’t be angry. He loved her to death, but at this point he was just tired. Tired and tried, sick himself of not being able to have her back at his side like she was when she was healthy. The whole ordeal and weight on his shoulders was finally getting to him.

Yeah :/ *waits for my peach tea that I made to get cold in the fridge* peach tea makes me feel better - just like diet coke, but we don't have any diet coke.
She was pretty damn sure that she felt horrible for treating him like this in her mind, but still. She believed that he had jynxed her when she was climbing, and now this was his fault. He needed to back off and not make it worse. But on the inside, she was crying all over again. She wanted to be cuddled and to be hugged and be told that it was going to be okay in his kind voice just once. But now that she had gotten mad at him, she didn't want to all of a sudden tell him that she wanted help and tell him to help her out and give her words of encouragement. That would make her appear weak, and she didn't want to seem like such a downer, instead, she walked into the den, as she felt herself cringe, not being able to see him in there waiting for her. Instead, he'd chosen to be outside of the den and away from her, just like she'd told him to do.
I don't need anybody's help... she stated, as she layed down the best she could, as she put her paw out to stretch, as it stung momentarily, before she layed her muzzle down on the ground. Giving a harsh sigh, she felt a silver tear cross down the side of her snout, as she closed her eyes with it, and wondered just how painful this nap was going to be, when indeed she wasn't going to be getting a nap no matter if she tried or not. Giving a couple of hesitated sighs, she could tell that she was feeling a little under the weather now, maybe a sign of depression that was being brought down upon her. She could tell that she was definetly sick now, as she felt her eyes keep switching from reality to day dreams. Everytime she wanted something, it always vanished from her eyesight, now she didn't know what to do. Everything had vanished, and now she didn't know what was going to happen to her. She was in pain, and she had no one to help her - even though she said she didn't, she did.

Cold peach tea? Sounds good. Now I want tea. Oo. *Goes to make spearmint tea* Heh. With honey.
in this lifetime it better be the right time the first time might be your last time
Twice he rose halfway to his feet, ready to forget what she said about not wanting help and go to her anyway. It wasn’t like he didn’t think she could take care of herself, he knew from experience and from all he’d seen of her before this illness that she was a hundred percent capable. The thing about the two of them was that they both were fairly independent individuals, and that’s why they always understood when one or the other wanted to take a walk or romp on their own. It wasn’t about not loving each other, because he knew and had no doubt about how much each of them cared. It was more a matter of adapting, so to speak.
Laying outside the den, once again returning tightly to the ground he battled with his thoughts to try to play this off as something just like that walk would be. Just a little walk… nothing big. But slowly he was finding he couldn’t see it that way. Lifting his head, he let his silvery gaze rest on the little temporary den. There she was inside there, mad at him. Mad at him. Like she didn’t want him.
With that thought the urge to get up and go join her came again like a rising tide, letting his muscles twitch as he raised himself a couple inches off the ground. Then again, like he had the past few times he dropped again. She didn’t want him there so he wasn’t going to go. Those were her wishes, right? Well, if it’s what she wants I’ll listen to make her happy. He nodded, trying to justify the thoughts to himself. No matter which way he put it he couldn’t escape the fact that he was miserable. The two of them had never gotten into a fight before, let alone an argument, really. So she was sick… but she wasn’t really hallucinating anymore. Or delusional. So what was the prompt for all this? Mood swings that came with the sickness? Or, somewhere inside… was she really actually tired of him?
A lump caught in his throat, and the Zeta shifted, digging his snout to the ground and his paws across his head and face. Great. He wanted nothing more than to go to her at that moment.

I can get diet coke now, my peach tea isn't cold right now, i just made it and put it in the fridge. <3 AND my post ends this thread or yours? (this'll be my third sickness thread, and I think I get that boardwide plot stone thingy if ive completed three threads with the plot.)
It wasn't that she didn't want him in there, it was just that they were a bit different from each other right now. For everything they'd been through, she was a bit of a dangerous wolf, not knowing what was going on. She wished she knew how ugly she was being to him, and that she was basically hurting her own feelings by saying she didn't want his help. She really did, but she just felt miserable after what happened. Perhaps it was just that everything had been going so well, that know she had no clue what she was doing, and it was all of this that caused it. She just needed some more time to figure out what was going on in both of their minds. She was hurt - inside and outside. She couldn't handle any of this anymore, she needed him by her side. She needed him for the last time.
Ele... she whispered, as she opened her eyes briefly, looking out towards the entrance, seeing that black and white head out there. Element, she mumbled a slight bit clearer. Please come in, she murmured towards him, as she placed her head back down on the cold ground. She wasn't sure what the heck she was doing, but she was pretty darn sure that she was going with her best instincts to invite him back in. She wanted to feel his warmth, and to feel loved again, instead of being in pain, and wanting to actually feel like she was wanted in the cold and cruel world. Everything had pretty much been a strange time, seeing as her paw was now in the most pain she'd ever received, and for the moment, Element and herself weren't getting along too well.

I think I’ve had about twelve sickness threads…. Lol. Not all of them are complete though yet. Half of them, maybe? Not sure. Gotta go check later. All of your finished sickness threads arent with me, are they? Oo. And obviously, I guess we’ll finish it up with my post here. Look! My 480th post! Only 20 more away from the big 500! *Twitches* Lol. And look look look! I’m using that new table.
Man I feel like posting a lot. O.o *Hyperness*
It wasn’t too long before a tentative voice came to his covered ears, and the Zeta shifted, putting his paws back on the ground before him and lifting his head. There, peeking out of the den was Kiriana, looking to him and calling his name softly. Immediately the male rose to his feet, head ducked slightly as he made his way over to her, a frown half lit on his face as he approached.
“Kiri…”
he returned her own call, softly mumbling her name in return. She looked so upset, and he hated to see that. More than anything he hated to see her anything other than feeling fine and perfect. That’s why it was hurting him so much lately with her being so ill. Especially because he knew there was nothing he could do about it.
Coming to the entrance of the makeshift den, he ducked inside of it and watched as Kiriana lowered herself back to the ground. Even with that small motion she noticed her favoring her paw, and the frown across his features only grew.
“I’m here,”
he comforted, moving forward and bending his head down to nuzzle her neck softly.
“I always will be, Kiri. Okay?”
Nestling down beside her (and being careful about her paw) he placed himself at her side, letting his tongue slide across her snout fondly in a few repetitive strokes.
“Just get some rest, it’ll be better.”
He made sure not to add the words ‘you’ll feel better,’ still trying to keep away from the subject that had brought flared up her temper in the first place. Sighing, he tucked his head across her tawny shoulders, inhaling her clean scent.
And that was it. There they lay together.
