Perfect. Chogan performed wolf equivalent of rubbing his hands together with utmost glee – lack of hands and no idea how to perform the action by other means mean that he didn’t do much other than smile pleasantly at a bunch of sticks, but in his head it had both looked and sounded a lot more calculating.

Night was falling in Strawberry Fields – and everywhere else in the valley, for that matter, but that didn’t concern him – and the sky was on fire. Chogan was standing next to a small cluster of trees, leering triumphantly into the shadowy centre – bare ground, unable to support anything larger than a few tufts of grass and the occasional bush owing to the fact that a mere fifty centimetres or so below the ground lay a boulder, buried by time. By chance, trees had sprouted around it and created a little prison – or, as Chogan saw it, a farm.

The idea had come to him earlier that day, when the pile of potential cures stacked beside his farm-to-be was only half the size it was now. He needed test subjects, but nobody was prepared to let him experiment on members of his own pack. Determined not to let his hours of scavenging for exotic plants go to waste, he had devised a plan – he would seek out ailing prey and, as a bit of community service, give them to the chance to recover (provided, of course, the wrong plant didn’t kill them). This was the first step – finding a suitable container in which to hold his test subjects. Golden eyes glanced about, flitting across the ground until it was swallowed up by horizon, then repeating the process in another direction. He would need to fortify his pen – but what with?

ic. February watched the sky, admiring the twinkling stars as she wandered around the lands aimlessly. Soon, she realized that she was off of her home territory, and that she was in Strawberry Fields. A few days ago, she had gotten lost here somewhere, but a pup named Lonan had showed her the way back. She blinked, glancing away from the heavens, briefly wondering if she would meet the younger male again. Though it was nighttime, Fei felt strangely energetic; she bounded forwards, wagging her tail as she started to examine her surroundings.

Soon enough, she spotted a figure not too far away. Curiosity brought the young arctic wolf forwards to greet him, though instead of introducing herself, the... prison-cage-like-thing that he was staring at caught her attention first. Blue eyes turned to rest on the form that she had spotted, and felt a thrill when she realized that he was not much older than she was- she did love meeting new people so. "What're yew doin'?" She blinked, before hastily remembering what her original plan was.

"Ah'mma February, Fei, from Silver 'reek." Her voice was young and pleasant, and she had a surprising amout of energy for this time of the day.

Fate didn’t allow him much time to ponder before a white shape appeared, bumbling through the rich foliage of his home. Chogan’s ears stiffened, swivelling to aid his vision and sense of smell in identifying the unknown wolf. She wasn’t a Strawberry, was she? If so, she’d missed every pack meeting and hunt to date. Perhaps she was new? The second alternative seemed more plausible, because from the way the snowy female approached him and unabashedly spoke her name, questioning his actions in the process, she wasn’t the shy type. Chogan, torn between his duties to ward off intruders and want of company, just stared.

”Uerrr…” he grunted uncertainly, but her enthusiasm was contagious. ”I’m Chogan,” he greeted, thumping out a few deeply resonating notes with his tail. Cocking his head, curious to know he asked: ”You new?” An explanation for the pile and prison could wait – they’d have to get through introductions first.

ic. A grin rested on her features, small white form glowing in the dim area of the strawberry territory. She flicked her ears, wondering what he was going to say; his silence was making her curious to hear his words. "Nice to meet yew, Chogan," she remarked brightly, puppish blue eyes flickering around the scenary a few times before returning to the male's tawny figure. She nodded briefly to reply to his question- yes, she was new. "Ah joined my pack a few days ago," she explained.

February cocked her head to the side. What did Chogan want to do with the cage thing? Fei couldn't think of anything to do with it, and it certainly wasn't very pretty. Maybe he wanted to catch and trap something there? She took a few jumpy steps towards the contraption, giving it a few good sniffs before blinking at the Strawberry, wordlessly repeating her question.

Chogan nodded – a plausible explanation. He made a mental note to caution her about entering another pack’s territory without asking for an invitation beforehand, either from a pack member in mutual lands or at the border itself – the young Beta didn’t really mind much, but he knew of adults who would kick up quite a fuss if they found out. Noticing her obvious curiosity regarding the peculiar arrangement of piles and the prison-like gathering of trees, he decided to skip the question-and-answer session about where she came from and why, instead focusing his attention on the little project he had secured for himself.

”This be a farm,” he declared, not without a note of pride in his voice – it was a good idea, maybe even good enough to impress the adults. ”See…” he continued, turning to face February again, ”Lotsa wolves get sick a’cause of water, an’ I wanna find cure, see…but I canna make wolves eat my cure, so I’ma gonna test it on rabbitses, right?” He shot a fleeting glance at one of the piles, rolling his eyes to indicate that there was a hell of a lot of cure to get through. ”So I gonna catch rabbits, put ‘em in prison, an’ test cures on ‘em. …y’wanna help?” Two heads are better than one – and the extra paws wouldn’t go amiss either.

ic. True, she had been a bit bold with the way she had greeted Chogan, but in a way, it was because he was not much older than she, and Fei had assumed that he wouldn't be "too hard on her." Her right ear flicked- a farm? She examined the odd arrangements of sticks, confused- weren't farms places to grow food? However, when the male continued on to explain himself, it became (kind of) clear ro her. She nodded sub-conciously, digesting the sudden information, grinning at the male, tail still waving from side to side.

In her mind, she went through his plan and goal- catch rabbits, test some green junk on them, and find a cure. "Ah'll help!" she exclaimed- overjoyed that she had something to do. But.. she was still confused about something. "Doyah want sick rabbits? Or are we jus' testing normal rabb'ts?" Sharp eyes darted to and fro, and her nose began to pick out the different scents of the forest.

Judging by the way that Chogan was speaking, this was something imporant. A sudden feeling of importance flooded into the arctic pup, and she puffed out her chest. Were many wolves sick? she wondered- she had yet to meet a sick wolf.

A similar feeling swelled in Chogan’s breast when she eagerly accepted his proposition, transforming a one-wolf mission into a team effort. ”Come on,” he urged, barely able to contain his excitement – he scampered in a tight circle around his new partner in crime cure to calm his jittery limbs, nudging her shoulder before heading for the opposite end of the cage-like arrangement. ”We gotta make it better first,” he called back, trotting around the farm once, then twice, noting down where rabbits might escape. They would need twigs. And reeds. The least contaminated rabbits – the ones they would be aiming for – were still quite capable of making a run for it. By the time they’d descended so far into illness that left became right and the world was too confusing to cope with, it would be too late.

He arrived back where he’d started, planting his legs far apart and head raised in what he hoped was an commanding stance. ”No, gotta catch kinda sick ones, like…they look a bit confu’ss, runnin’ round in circles. If they stop runnin’, they die too soon, so we canna take ‘em.” He nodded in affirmation of his own words. ”First, gotta make it more diff’cult to ger’out! Les’go find twigs and things.”

ic. Her smile widened when enthusiasm showed in Chogan as well. Giggling while he circled round her, February stood up and shook her white pelt before following him around the farm. She was smaller than him, but she was smaller than most, so that wasn't too surprising. Blue eyes sparkling, she, too, examined it, nudging the occasional twig to make it more stable. However, when the male set off on the second circle around the farm, Fei remained where they had started, watching the elder male.

His semi-commanding stance brought on another bout of giggles, which she quickly stiffled, forcing her face to seem stoic and determined. She nodded- signifying that she understood. Catch dizzy rabbits, she noted in her short-hand mental way. As soon as Chogan finished speaked, she bounded to the bushes and the area around the trunks of the nearby trees, picking up the occasional stick with her jaws- if another wolf were watching, they'd notice that Fei was picking out the longer, prettier-colored sticks.

She ran towards the farm, dropping the sticks down into a bundle to be organized later, and returned to the bushes, searching for more things that they could use.

They worked like this for well over an hour, rushing between the farm and potential sources of building material like wolves on crack. When Chogan finally announced that they would not be requiring any more fortification, humidity had matted his fur and saliva dribbled from his open, panting mouth in long, shiny ropes. Twigs and bits of foliage now lay stacked around the shaded enclosure, some worked into the gaps between trees in patterns one might see in a wicker basket, but it’d been too much effort to continue indefinitely. Here and there, dirt was packed into the gaps to ensure as little wind as possible penetrated the rabbit corral – with any luck, the weather would be kind to them and the farm wouldn’t need too much maintenance.

The triumph had breathed new life into Chogan’s fatigued body. He carried one final bundle of sticks towards its destination, head held high, tail – wet and artfully sprinkled with leaves and dirt – held high. ”H’kay,” he breathed, setting the bundle down and peering into the little hut. It was darker now – the sun had almost disappeared from view, and rabbits would soon start to pop out of their subterranean homes – healthy and sick alike. Turning back, he whispered to Fei, hoping the light breeze would carry his words. ”Time t’find rabbits, Fei!”

ic. When Chogan finally said that they had finished, February collapsed onto the floor, but because it was fake, she was up again in three seconds flat, dirty white pelt riddled with ugly brown bits of twigs and dust. She panted as she stood there, admiring their work, tail wagging despite her fatigue. Fei groomed her fur for a while, taking out occasional bits of leaves, though it didn't make too much of a difference- the delta puppy's damp fur still remained as bedraggled as ever. She stretched out while she waited for Chogan to complete the final round, tail thumping the floor proudly (making her pelt mussier at the same time).

Her limbs glided across the familiar floor as soon as she heard Chogan's whisper. Playfully, she head-butted his shoulder on her way past him, and laughing, she streaked into the undergrowth, dropping into her practiced (yet not so correct) hunting posture, nose smashed against the floor as she tried to find a scent trail. She followed the trail to an empty burrow and then turned to look around Chogan with a frown on her face. "Chooo," she called, "What if the rabb'ts are sleeping?"

Feel free to RP the rabbit emerging, if you think it should. :)

Chogan’s mind ventured back to that day, a stone’s throw from the Gold Moon Forest borders, when he’d first met Arsenio. He remembered having chased down a rabbit that same day, but when the two of them had rushed to admire the kill there was naught but tufts of fur and blood in the grass where the rabbit had lain. He wondered where that rabbit was now, if indeed it’d been granted new life as a zombie variant of its old self. Perhaps, the youth thought, arranging his sticks over a small gap in the fortifications, using teeth and paws to get it in the right place. He stood back to admire the work, exhaling deeply – things were going as planned. Behind him, Fei was approaching. After a brief session of battering ram (with Fei in the starring role) versus tired wolf, she settled into hunt mode, tearing off through the undergrowth in search of whatever had created the scent that lay thick on the ground. Chogan drew breath, sampling the night air. Rabbits were starting to emerge.

"Chooo. What if the rabb'ts are sleeping?"

Choo? The wolf in question cracked a grin – his first nickname, even if it sounded a bit girly. In response to her question, he replied; ”Don’t want sleepin’ uns, they’s know what’s goin’ on. Sick ones are kinda…kinda stupid.” Convinced that the farm was safe, he set off after her, putting ground behind him with long, graceful leaps until he was at the Creeker’s side, peering down into pitch black burrow. ”Maybe we can trick it?” he suggested, not sure how. ”What d’rabbits like? Leaves?” Wanting to test this theory, he put on a high, innocent-sounding voice and hollered into the ground: ”Leaves, leaves, beautiful leaves! Lots o’ them! Comes one, comes all!”

ic. She blinked a few times as she stared down the hole. Stupid, eh? Were all of the wolves who had the disease stupid? It only made sense, though perhaps it was fever and nasuea that would drive all of the sick insane. Grateful that she hadn't been infected, Fei continued to patiently wait for a rabbit to pop out of the hole. She was beginning to suspect that perhaps the rabbit had died in there. February looked up briefly, surprised to see that he was peering down the hole as well. She pondered for a moment, seemingly deep in thought. She remembered that rabbits liked something orange, but she couldn't remember what.

She stifled her laughter when Cho began to try and convince the rabbit to come out, loud voice echoing in the area. Fei let out a few bursts of giggles before joining in the fun, "Nice, tasty leaves! Freshly picked too!" Unable to contain her laughter any more, she burst into a fit of giggles, legs suddenly feeling weak from all of her laughing. Though Fei didn't notice, a sick rabbit had scrambled out of the hole (no sane rabbit would come out if it heard two pups yelling about leaves.) The rabbit ran in a few circled, and then suddenly went under Fei's legs.

Feeling something brush past her, February spun around, suddenly spotting the dizzy creature. "'here it is!" she squealed, attempting to catch it, though she tripped over a few "ugly" sticked that she had tossed aside while collecting things to use to stabilize the farm. Ooopmh.

Fei seemed to decide that they had nothing to lose by trying, and it was first when similar words spilled in high, trilling tones from the Creeker's lips that Chogan could fully appreciate how absolutely ridiculous his idea had been. Two pups screaming incoherently about juicy leaves through the door of a dying rabbit's burrow was unlikely to coax it out for one last look at the sun – which, by this time, was tucked safely away and unlikely to rise again until the long-eared patient was well and truly dead (or cured, but it seemed unlikely).

Chogan stared glumly into the darkened depths, unable to turn his attention elsewhere despite believing that their cunning plan had failed miserably and that they ought to go and find rabbits who were sick enough to leave their burrows without first sampling the air outside. If they had any sense, they would catch the scent of the two young farmers, whose bodily odours lay thick and fresh around the enhanced fort a few hundred meters back. Right, well, that hadn't worked – Chogan opened his mouth to admit defeat: ”Guess it di-,”

And then it appeared.

”OHMAIGAWD.”

Fei – understandbly – toppled to the ground, inadvertently pinning one of the rabbit's legs with her body. Chogan had been too shocked that the plan had worked to do much before that point, but returned to his senses in an instant, lunging for the scrabbling, wide-eyed patient-to-be with a triumphant squeal. As carefully as he could without losing speed, he snatched it up by the ruff of its neck and, feeling it struggle madly in his jaws, made plate eyes at Fei. ”C'MN!” he shouted, beginning to side-step towards the farm. ”'URRY U'!”

ic. Chogan had been strangely surprised when the rabbit ran out, Fei noticed. Then she realized that he had been about to admit defeat. However, the arctic pup was just as surprised when she realized that she had tripped onto the the rabbit, pinning the rabbit's legs accidentaly. Ears swiveled towards the male, eyes flitting around while she quickly regained her balance, watching as Cho lunged towards the rabbit. Triumph flooding into her as she lifted her head, waving her tail energetically. Her lips curled into her smile as she exclaimed joyously, "Wheeee!"

She bounded after him, long, lanky limbs moving across the floor quickly. However, right after she caught up to Cho, Fei scented another rabbit in the air. She turned around quickly, spinning on her hind limbs deftly, darting back towards the clearing just in time to see another rabbit emerge from the hole. They had hit the jackpot! Quickly, she fastened her strong jaws around the rabbit's neck, careful to not kill it, and darted back towards her newly-found friend (she hoped).

She ran towards the cage and dropped the rabbit in, lingering there to watch the prey scamper around, bumping stupidly into re-inforced wall. "Ah think this'll really work!"

Fei's exclamation of triumph and joy hit the air like fireworks behind him, and Chogan smiled through his catch – a little incredulously. He'd grown up with the notion that all and any idea formulated even in part by himself was doomed to fail – flight had evaded him, as had many a grand scheme to kill off every single mosquito in the valley. Needless to say, so many failed innovations had had its effects on his self-esteem, making this peculiar victory all the more special. Possibly the most laughable idea ever to cross his mind had worked. His could feel the warmth of his own blood coursing through every capillary, like the pleasant burning sensation brought about by swallowing just a small sip of a strong spirit. It felt good.

She was a great girl – Chogan sealed his judgment of Fei with a nod to himself, and dropped the rabbit through one of the bigger gaps between bars of its new home, watching it regain breath and whatever sense was left. Surprisingly, it didn't seem to bothered with the sudden change of environment – it was dark and smelt of earth, and Chogan had been kind enough to heap leaves in one corner before the hunt for patients had begun. He watched with keen interest as the little critter (walking backwards now; a good sign that it was indeed doomed to die if they didn't find a cure) explore its surroundings, globe-sized eyes shining an eerie green in the failing light. Next to him, Fei pulled up with a second catch, adding it to the group through the same gap Chogan had. Hers was markedly less pleased to have been taken from its home, and began to head-butt – most likely without knowing what it was doing – the walls. The young Strawberry turned to what was no officially a New Friend, and grinned. ”Think so,” he agreed, nodding eagerly. ”Gotta get more – come ons.” He reared up and disappeared into the darkness, already hot on the heels of another potential test subject.

ic. She watched the two of them, amusement flitting briefly across her features- her rabbit was much more disgruntled by the sudden change in environment. She laughed at it as it bumped into Chogan’s rabbit, which had started to walk backwards. Of course, this would all be much funnier if the prey wasn’t sick and wouldn’t be dying if they didn’t manage to find a cure, but Fei had to admit, insane rabbits were hilarious. Fei's tail thumped the floor while she sprinkled a few random blades of grass on the two rabbits, ears twitching as the two rabbits blindly bumped into each other, looking for shelter.

Fei turned to grin at Cho- she liked him; he was a fun wolf to be around, and there was no doubt that she'd come looking for him in the near future. She nodded with determination, and darted off the other way from Chogan, since she had scented a squirrel. Though she did know that this was a rabbit farm, February was curiousy to see what would happen if there were a lot of crazy rabbits, but just one crazy squirrel. She ran after the fast fluffy-tailed prey, lips parting to grab it the same way that she had caught the last rabbit.

Then, she skimmed over to the cage once more, dropped the squirrel, genuine laughter escaping her jaws when she watched as the squirrel ran towards the stock of leaves and while chattering, threw one at the nearest rabbit.

The pen was beginning to fill up – the more rodents they caught (two or three mice could be seen scurrying along the edge of the enclosure, apparently blind and of course, utterly stupid), the better they got, and the rate at which creatures were thrown into the mix was increasing exponentially. Conversely, living conditions were plummeting, and after his sixth rabbit, Chogan didn't dart off to find another. The enclosure was alive with what sounded like whispers – there were so many of them now that Chogan could hear their breath. It was like being in the middle of a group of marathon runners, each breathing hard but at their own personal rate. The fledgling farmer paused to listen, watching shapes fumble in the darkness.

”How to test...” he murmured to himself, glancing at the silhouette of piles on either side of him. It was too dark to make out exactly what was in them, but it didn't matter – the cure could be something as simple as licking grass, so it didn't really matter what they threw in for the patients to nibble on. But how would they know who had eaten what? The issues of setting up a fair test were becoming apparent, and the fact that the thought had crossed his mind filled the fatigued Strawberry with pride – maybe he wasn't as stupid as Chena had made out, that day in Gold Moon Forest. ”Fei?” he called, swiveling – in the weak moonlight, it was hard to distinguish between a fallen tree-trunk and a body, so he hoped for moment – preferably from Fei, and a tree.

ic. February worked hard, dashing around, catching prey as easily as she had caught the first two. She couldn't help but feel proud of her newly-found hunting skill; this had been great practice for her- before this, she was quite shakey with her stalking technique, but now it was quite stable, and it seemed almost natural. Soon, enough, Fei had noticed that Cho had stopped catching their farm subjects, and was staring at them. Fei watched him and the farm from afar, smile sweetly stretching across her face. Her bright white fur was quite visible in the moonlight- the pure color glowing silverish-blue in the strange, dim light.

Her ears swiveled towards him instinctively when she heard her name, and in response, she dropped the rabbit in her jaws, telling herself that they had enough creatures in their farm. "Yew reckon we have enough, Cho?" she asked as she padded towards him, eye carefully skimming over the various pretty plants in the area, wondering if any of them would be able to cure the insane creatures of their odd sickness. Fei had never seen anything like this illness, and wondering if it was even curable.

She shook away her thoughts- of course there was a cure!

”Mmhm,” he replied, dividing his attention between Fei and the waiting piles of greenery – black, each item indistinguishable from the next, but he knew them like a father knows his sons; hours of sticking his nose in all the wrong places, getting scratched and burned and blistered had etched a every last plant into his memory, especially the bright, deceptively harmless ones. At last, the time had come to test them – with any luck, his efforts wouldn't have been in vain. The hybrid stretched creamy forelimbs out in front of himself, allowing his torso to sink to the ground whilst pushing his rump skywards, fluffy tail erect and hind legs on their tip-toes – a luxurious, much-needed stretch. When he returned to an upright position, he felt refreshed and ready for the trickiest part of the healing process: force-feeding a horde of rodents plants they wouldn't even look at under normal circumstances.

”How we gon' do this, then?” the question was directed at them both, as though voicing it might kick start his own brain – hunting was instinct, even if it involved singing leaf-based songs into burrows. He frowned, and began to pace, eying the most docile rabbit with keen interest – how difficult would it be to make it eat one of those pink flowers? ”We gotta force-feed 'em...but we needs to remember which'un we feeded what.”

ic. Fei had never been too wary of the plants around her, though she could reconize them based on their color and shape, just because she liked to observe the prettier objects around the lands. She spent the other half of her beauty-admiring time staring up at the sky, admiring the clouds or the stars, depending on the time of the day. As she flicked her tail, she noted to herself that she'd just be winging it all, since she had no idea what type of plant did what to wolves and other living creatures. She picked up a pretty blue flower that was swaying in the wind besides her, and gently set it down before her paws so that she could reply to what Cho seemed to be about to say.

SHe had to admit that she had no idea how to make this more organized- well, she had an idea, but it would be tiring. "It would be hard to make 'member who ate what, buu' maybe if we put them in indiv'dual cages and put a bit of the flowe' we found next to the cage." She frowned, deep in thought. Yes, that would take a lot of time, but it was considerably organized. They'd be able to figure out what most of the herbs did, though Fei had the sneaking suspicioun that most, if not all, of the herbs wouldn't work.

He nodded – a good idea, sensible, but something they ought to have thought of before filling the prison with psychologically unstable inmates. He wasn't sure how much of an effect their presence inside the pen might have – either the critters would ignore them completely and continue to go about their business bumping into walls and each other, or all hell would break loose. Was it a risk worth taking? Probably, unless they wanted to feed one patient each and get through the cures two at a time – not nearly fast enough.

”Alright,” he said said after a while, having considered their options as thoroughly as his mind would allow. ”We'll do your idea, gotta make little pens inside.” There were plenty of unused sticks and piles of discarded heather about, enough to section the rodents off from one another. ”..I guess we gotta go in? I will, if y'want..you gimme things to build with.” The largest gap was big enough to fit a pup-sized wolf, and both of them fit that bill.

ic. The young female continued to frown as she stared at the writhing, loud farm, feeling slight pity for the confused creatures as she observed them silently, mind half worrying about them, the other wondering how to put them apart so that they could test them neatly, and know what combonation of herbs did what type of reaction. Her tail continued to lazily slice through the air, wagging to and fro as her inquinsitive blue eyes switched attention from the farm to the elder pup. She picked up a bundle of sticks, and grinned at Chogan through her mouthful, nodding to show that she had heard him.

Since they didn't have enough sticks at the moment, Fei merely went in for a few seconds, dropped the sticks, and went out again, calling to Cho as she went along, "Ah'm off to get some more!" She was obviously talking about the sticks. In a few moments, she had returned with another bundle, and her tiresome task continued until she had gotten together quite a collection of twigs and leaves (because they were pretty). Then she looked at Cho attentively, as if waiting for him to instruct her on how to make the pens right.

Whilst Fei raced back and forth between the crowded, noisy oasis and pitch black night, Chogan made slow progress into the former, squeezing his body through the saplings with utmost care – he didn't want to scare the patients, nor undo the pair's hard work by wrecking anything. When Fei returned after her final run, only the tip of his long, shaggy tail was visible, poking through like a twig with no sense of what a twig was actually meant to look like. The excitable Arctic wordlessly announced her presence – Chogan just knew to look back, and when he did he met the sky blue eyes of a dependable workmate. He grinned and uttered a 'shhh!' to indicate that they should not disturb the critters sleeping at his feet. Sickness and running about rather aimlessly for near an hour had burnt up their energy, and they were sleeping like babies, (conveniently) spread out across the trampled floor. On his tiptoes, Chogan swivelled to face Fei. The tail disappeared, and a wet black nose appeared in its place.

”Hand me bunch'a twigs an' heather an' things,” he whispered, stretching his neck out and parting jaws to indicate that she was to pass him material. ”Ah buil',” he continued, open mouth distorting the words. By his left hind paw, one of the rabbits was having a nightmare. Its sharp claws against his paw, kicking as though to escape from between a predator's jaws, made him flinch. The sooner they found a cure the better.

ic. As she stood there obedient-like, she realized suddenly that none of the creatures were moving. Were they dead already? Frowning, she squinted at all of them, flicking her tail idly with a frown on her face. Surely they weren't dead already? True, they must have hit their heads on the side of the farm a few too many times, but not enough to actually die, right? Fei blinked at them, though when she spotted the slowly rising and lowering chest of one of the rabbit, she relaxed, and looked up, only to meet Cho's eyes. She grinned at him, sticking out her tongue when he told her to shush.

She nodded, and spun on her hindlimbs, picking up as large a bundle of building material as she could, and scampered (quietly) to Chogan, where she dropped it at his feet quickly, and then returned to the pile, moving roughly half of it to the strawberry. Tail wagging, she began to pick up sticks and shove them into place, carefully beginning to separate each of the creatures, pushing them softly with her paw, trying not to wake them up. She looked up just in time to see a sleeping rabbit suddenly bite her partner in cure.

"Yew okay?" she whispered, genuine worry in her voice.

Fei seemed to have decided that Chogan oughtn't be the only one to have all the fun, and rather than giving him the sticks to place she simply moved the pile and slipped in through another gap in the farm's wooden bars, taking material with her. Chogan was left to do the same, which he did – albeit grudgingly – plucking a few sticks and purplish fans of heather that he drew in with him, struggling to get the lot through the trees. Inside, Fei was already arranging, pushing rabbits into spaces and sectioning them off with twigs. Chogan did the same, building up a thick wall in the center so that neither pup would intrude on the others work. A second rabbit, comfortable where it lay and not wanting to be moved, sank its teeth into his lip – Fei voiced concern, but the bitten male shrugged it off – he could do far worse to that rabbit if he chose to.

They worked quietly and with haste, building the walls high enough to reach Chogan's knee – under normal circumstances, any rabbit would've been able to escape, but these ones were special. The Strawberry watched one stir, gathering up his own limbs just in case it decided to strike. ”Fei?” he whispered, peeking over the barrier, ”Done?”

ic. She blinked when Cho shrugged off the wound, and she, too, shrugged. If he thought it was fine, maybe it really was fine- she was no medic. Wait a moment, she was supposed to be finding a cure; she was a good pretend medic, but she had no idea how to be a medic in general. Fei smiled sweetly, and continued to work hard, pushing the sticks in with her paws, and occasionally with her black nose (which hurt). Blue eyes flashed proudly as she finished using all of her sticks. After that, she begun to take pretty emerald-green leaves and weaving them between the occasional sticks, "prettifying" it all up with the bright leaves.

Just as she was shoving the last leaf in the fence between a rabbit and a mouse, she heard Chogan asking her if she was done. She poked her head above the walls of the farm, "Done!" she whispered, though she still managed to sound energetic. "Yew?" she asked as she bunched up her hindlegs and leapt out of the farm. She shook some of the bits of sticks and leaves out of her muddied white fur, beginning to glance around, looking for plants while waiting for a reply.

”Yup,” he nodded, sweeping his gaze over the slumbering prisoners one last time before he too leaped out of the enclosure, lithe body appearing on the other side of the fencing without disturbing the structure itself. He trotted on for a moment, keen to rid his limbs of the frustration of not being able to move as they liked, as had been the case inside the farm. Golden eyes, the colour one might expect from an offspring of sun and moon, stared into the the black unknown. A few hours from now, his gaze would cover miles, but without the guidance of the sun it was like staring into a wall. A sudden noise pulled his head towards his flank, and on seeing Fei still standing by the farm his body followed suit, moving like an eel in water.

It was time to distribute the medicine. Fei seemed to know this – she was already eying the piles through the darkness. ”Take anything – dunno what's gonna work,” he instructed, trotting up to the nearest pile and plucking a leafy stem from the very top; something he'd found in Wild Fire Forest, but the tree it came from had evaded him. ”I don't thinks they'll eat all 'o it, though...so we don't gotta remember where we put things.”

ic. "H'okay," she replied Chogan before bouncing out, towards the bushes and undergrowth. Her tail wagged happily when she spotted a nice patch of flowers here, and there. She grinned, and grabbed some purple flowers, some orange flowers, some blue flowers, some yellow flowers, and some berries that that were nearby as well. Naturally, she ignored the more "normal" looking plants for the ones with the nice colors and nice smells.

With her mouth filled with flowers, she bounded back towards the farm, and put her plants on the floor, and began to distribute the plants, putting in different combanations of the greenary that she had picked out, hoping that one of them might work. She dropped some more flowers in a rabbit's cage, and used her paw to nudge it, trying to wake it up, since it were merely snoring. When the rabbit didn't wake up, she whined and prodded it even more. It was breathing, and so Fei didn't know why it was so actionless.

Suddenly, it popped up, and began to run around wildly, knocking over the barrier to another creature- a sqirrel, and began to bite it. February yelped in shock. "Er.. Chooo, something's wrong wit' this rabbit."

End soon? One more post should do it.

Chogan, busy with less fancy plants from the piles he’d collected over the weeks leading up the creation of the farm, looked up in time to see the militant rabbit take a bite out of its tree-dwelling comrade. ”Crazy,” he said shortly, and picked his way across the farm to where the barrier had fallen between the two pens. Swatting the rabbit away with one paw (it ran straight for the wall and busied itself with the dense shrubbery, pawing desperately at its prison), he pushed the squirrel back where it belonged and restored the barrier to its former glory, plucking stray twigs from the ground with his teeth and threading them into pile until it looked secure again. The rabbit had fallen asleep again, and so had the squirrel. Chogan gazed at them for a minute, amazed at how quickly the disease could paralyze a creature normally so adept at escaping. The Farm would’ve been a piece of cake for them under normal circumstances.

”Now we gotta wait,” he murmured, keeping his voice low so as not to trigger any more violent reactions from the snoozing patients. Their voices had died down now – the majority had gone to sleep, but Chogan knew from watching them in the wild that it wouldn’t last long. Headaches and nausea would rouse them, and hopefully their lives would last long enough for them to save four wolf packs and their own kind by testing the cures. ”Sleep ou’side, come,” he motioned for her to follow and slipped through the trees, sinking to the ground with a long, satisfied sigh. Sleep was catching up fast, and his eyelids felt like pine branches did in the winter, when mountains of snow makes them look droopy and sad.”Thanks for helping.”

ooc. -supposed to be writing essay about the Battle of Cajamarca- Mmhmm! This'll be my last post, and then we can get that next thread started. :D

ic. February relaxed as soon as Chogan batted the rabbit away, though she couldn't help but flush when she realized that she could have done that herself- she had been too surprised by the sudden and odd action that she had been frozen in place. She shook her head, telling herself that next time, she would be stronger and just face the scarily sick creatures. She watched Chogan with a hint of curiosity on her face when she heard his words, ears twitching. Her tail wagged briefly behind her when she noticed that all of the animals were sleeping, and felt something similar to pride prickle in her fur. As she watched them, she couldn't help but wonder if they would die- if they did, did that mean that the wolves of the Salvajes would die if they were sick? February shuddered, and felt a stronger need to make this succeed. They had to!

As February sleepily glanced up at the sky, she couldn't help but notice that it was dark, too dark for her to be able to make it back to Silver Creek without getting lost, without any light to guide her. She frowned, and felt relieved when Chogan motioned for her to follow him. Tail wagging warily behind her, she slowly trotted after him, and soon curled up on the floor, not too far away from the older puppy. Her eyes automatically shut tight, and she murmured softly before drifting off to sleepland, "Yew're welcome... thanks for letting me help..."
