I'm liking Arsenio all sick and confused, so yeah. He's minorly ill, and it comes and goes, but, right now, it's pretty bad for 'im. Have fun? Maximum of two others; set in the Hickory Stream Woods.
i've got nothin' but problems
He still couldn't figure it out — why was he still feeling so... weird? Often he'd sit down to rest or think or whatever and, when he'd rise, he'd feel a sudden explosion of a headache and, a few seconds later, a wave of wooziness and light-headedness. He was baffled by it, though probably only because he was sick. He might've not fully understood in his befuddled state, but, in his adventures through the Salvajes Valley, he must've injested some of the water from the Cascades or around the general area which, unfortunately, resulted in illness for the young Medic.

But, for right now, he would live in his own illusionary bliss of being the hero of the Valley. He was running with an odd gait — a sort of lumbering gallop — imaginging the wolves of the packs flocking to him, cheering him on as his puppy buddies rushed out and joined in to take the praise. They had found the cure, in his little daydream. The puppies had actually triuphed over the adults, haha! Arsenio laughed in reality, his golden eyes flashing with a strange look of false victory and joy. He really thought it was happening.

"I' was nothin', nothin'!" he proclaimed, smiling broadly and slowing to a halt, swaying slightly. "'Course th' puppies woul' fin' it, jus' 'cause we're tha' grea'!" He took a few jumps foward, coming dangerously close to falling over a fallen tree limb in the process. Yelping slightly in suprise, he only retained a blissfully innocent face and kicked at the branch, continouing on his merry way.

"Yeah, yeah, I know. I'm th' 'ero." he said as a few more faceless wolves congratulated him. He smiled, flashing white teeth, and then continoued on. And, eventually, he kept walking on and on until the wolves were no more. He assumed that they had left to go on with their lives, leaving him rather dejected-looking. "Yeah, well... I've go' betta' things t'do too."

Fun! Oh, and love your table. >) It's so cool.

At first, Chogan feared that Arsenio's madness had come about through natural causes – his number had simply been up, and fate had dealt an ugly hand. Some time had passed since the four of them – Arsenio, Tantamount, Karisma and himself – had taken part in a meeting that would decide their activities for as long as the disease still ran rampant through the valley, but the memory was still fresh in Chogan's mind. They had gone through what they would do, what precautions they would take, where never to drink and what prey to avoid – the chances of any of them catching the disease were slim; they knew what they were doing. Assuming this was true, that left only two explanations for Arsenio's peculiar behaviour – either he had actually gone mad, or he was pretending out of sheer boredom. The longer the Strawberry followed his mountain-dwelling comrade, the less likely the second option seemed.

He'd been following for a good quarter of an hour before deciding to make himself known. Odd snippets of conversation with invisible crowds of admirers had kept him at bay, listening in without knowing whether to be greatly amused or terrified at what he was hearing. The light breeze that blew across the plateau was perpendicular to their path, and by keeping low to the ground he ensured that Arsenio would not see him until he chose to reveal himself. That time, now that the Novian had finished his victory parade, was now.

”ARSENIO!” he hollered – he had slowed, letting the Novian pull ahead and now almost fifty meters separated the two. Bounding towards his buddy as though he'd only just spotted him, tongue draped over the side of his jaw and body arranged in a way that communicated the friendship they shared, he repeated again, not quite as loud this time: ”Arsenio! Wait fer me!”

Now, let's find out what you're on.

This's gonna be great. xD And thanks - I'm rather fond of it myself. :D And the last paragraph of this post was... yeah. XD
i've got nothin' but problems
The biggest question in the equation was: How long had the water been contaminated? For for all they know, Arsenio could've injested the tainted water back months ago, when he had left to go play tag in the spring-swollen Lake or to go clean off after a journey in the Forbidden Swamp with his mom and brother. The water could've even trickled down into the drinking streams of the foothills at the bottom of the Mountains! So, really, Arsenio could've at any time gotten sick, even though he didn't totally realize it.

His name was bellowed so loud, it made his head spin. Turning along with his whirring mind, he saw an oncoming figure racing toward him, once again calling to wait up. Squinting, Arsenio then realized that it was his bestest friend in the whole world Chogan. Smiling broadly, he stood and wobbled over to meet up with the Fielder, his tounge lolling lazily out of the corner of his mouth and his eyes swirling with bland happiness. "Choooogannnn." he greeted, almost stumbling into a halt. "You hearrr? We founnd the currrree!" He didn't really know why he was stretching the words - probably just to make the emphasis more and more or something.

His eyes resumed utmost happiness as he realized that, in their 'finding of the cure', they had also saved Chena. His little sister would be well again, what a positively wonderful thought that was... So great. They would be able to play agian and be the Novian Royal Army... yeah. It was so great. And Taigi, he chuckled. Taigi would be all happy... because... yeah.

*throws self into thread* :D!

Apparently it was the water. After speaking with many of his fellows on the subject, it was universally accepted that the Cascades were tainted with some sort of disease, causing wolves to loose most, if not all, of their grasp on true reality. Some became physically ill, unable to move very far without feeling nauseous. Others had major headaches which was what Chehalis had experianced for the better part of two weeks. And the last, and certainly most prominent of the symptoms was complete mental instability: memory loss, split personalities and violent mood swings. All frightening and definitely not something to strive for. Little did he know that he too was affected by mental instability -- Captain Chehalis was an unknown entity in his currently conscience persona.

Lifting his head from his paws, Chehalis sighed, ears falling back upon his head as he stared at the ground infront of him. He was worried and even a bit scared. What would happen to them? Would the disease progressively get worse or would it simply fade away with the passage of time. Did they have a plague on their hands? Would anyone... Chehalis gulped, whimpering softly, 'Die?'. The Mexican shook his head, growling to himself. No, he couldn't think like that. This was just a passing thing, an anomaly, nothing more. No one would --

His train of thought was cut off by the sharp call of a young boy echoing throughout the wood. Said voice was soon followed by another who replied to the first in a drawling and almost giddy tone. Chehalis blinked, rising upon his slender limbs and padding silently off towards the duo to investigate. It wasn't long at all before he spotted the two pups; one seemed a bit off, not at all unlike some of the wolves back on Mount Shadow who ailed from the disease. Chehalis put a smile on his face and emerged from the wood a few feet away from the duo, tail wagging good-naturedly behind his rump. "Did I just hear somethin' about a cure?" He asked as he approached the boys, "I'm Chehalis." The Mexican teen offered, grinning.

Sorry about the delay, guys. :D

Arsenio’s slurred, inaccurate claims and stumbling gait were like watching a teenager’s first real encounter with drink. Embarassed, like he’d just seen his best friend naked, Chogan turned his head and focused on an area of craggy rock in the distance, obscured by the sheer amount of air that separated them and utterly unable to contract a disease which might lead it to humiliate itself in public. ”Arsenio…” he ventured, glancing back, weary of what his rabid-looking playmate might decide was a good idea whilst under the influence. ”Arsenio, we haven’ found…a cure.” A third voice joined the exchange, ringing clear with what Chogan hoped to high heavens was sanity, not delusions that they’d actually found a cure. He whirled around in time to see a bright-eyed Mexican, painfully similar to what his father had been, approaching.

”No no…” he offered, backing into position next to Arsenio lest the delirious youth should mistake Chehalis – Chogan noted the name and filed it away for future use – for a deer, or worse, a deer intended for lunch. ”He just crazy,” he found himself saying, like it was the most natural thing in the world, and flinched at the thought that this condition might be permanent. He hadn’t seen Deception for a long time, or that blind Novian, and quietly wondered if they were on the mend. Suddenly remembering that there was conversation to attend to, the young Strawberry righted himself and finished explaining, ”He got sick, but we’re a’searchin’ for a cure. Been searchin’ fer a long time ‘n all. You find something?”

-lovekarm&leah- AND ROFL. Karm, your second sentence made me laugh like crazy. And the last line of this post is actually a line of a song that was playing right when I was writing the end, and it just slipped in there. XD
Chogan's blantant look of embarrassment totally flew over Arsenio's bubble-filled head as he swayed slightly and smiled lopsidedly at the other puppy's careful words. Completely baffled at why the Mexican boy completely declined the source of all of his happiness, he felt his smile fall clumbsily, his eyes showing utmost confusion. "... Huh?" he asked, his voice as hollow as an echo. That was when Chehalis popped up, inquiring as to the cure. Arsenio, who had quickly forgotten Chogan's negative outlook on his supposed discovery, flopped up his smile and almost slurred an affirmative to the Mountaineer when Chogan interrupted, revealing that Arsenio, instead of being the truthful angel he was, was crazy.

And, quite frankly, the delirious youth was insulted. "CRAZEH?!" he exclaimed, his boyish voice reaching an all-time high. Lay off the water, bub. "Hmm, righ'! We searcheded long 'n 'ard an' we founded it all righ'." His face clouded with simplistic joy again. "Yah... din'n you guyses meet th' crow' back there? 'S awesome." Closing his eyes, as if to remember the imaginary happening, he wobbled unsteadily as a slight bout of nausia gripped him, subsiding into a dull headache.

Oh, Arsenio, I think you're loosing your head.

Sorry for the wait guys. Been at my friends house for the past few days playing Halo and Unreal Tourniment hanging out and I ended up falling asleep in what is now called my chair in his room. Haha. XD

His hopes of the cure laying with these two were soon dashed as the seemingly more sane one of the two pipped up, informing Chehalis that the other was just crazy. That notion also implied that the amber-eyed Tau should pay no heed to the incoherent babblings of the Novian male. He blinked, tilting his head a bit and quirking a brow, glancing over at the so-called "crazy one" -- yeah, he seemed a bit loopy, much like most of the wolves who had ingested the water. Chehalis was included in that but he had no idea of that part of the problem.

It was then the sick wolf screeched in outrage at the former's dubbing -- Chehalis' ears fell back, wincing slightly. Yeeouch, that kid sure as heck had a voice! He then continued on about the cure, an exhilirated smile dancing across his lips. Chehalis peered at the youth, ears slowly swiveling forward once more. He briefly glanced back over his shoulder, confirming that there was, indeed, no crow of which the younger spoke of. Turning back towards the sane one of the two, shaking his head slowly. "No, nothin'. I've mostly been looking out for my packmates so they don't hurt themselves or anythin'."

I suppose ought to be finishing up BWP threads. :/ Another two rounds maybe? Sorry for holding us up.

”No, 'senio...is no crow there,” Chogan murmured, pressing up close to his loony playmate in hopes that his own soundness of mind would cross to Arsenio's bloodstream. A wide, psychotic smile stretched his friend's lips, and Chogan decided it was no use – the only thing that would stop this madness was the cure or the progression of the disease to another phase. Or, if the Novian's immune system was up for it, eradication of the disease from his system. Chogan hoped this was what would happen, and raised his gaze to meet Chehalis' fiery eyes once more.

”I been doin' so too..me 'n Fei gots a farm, though,” His pride and joy, in fact, the first invention born from his twisted thoughts that actually looked as though it might be working. The Strawberry felt a swell of pride as he went on to explain, ”We puts rabbi's and things in there and feeds them thin's tha' look like cures. If they dies...then it no work. They dies fast, though,” he added glumly.

Feel free to slap me for the delay. And yeah, we can wrap this up soon. :D
Arsenio returned Chehalis' gaze. His eyeline was slightly murky, and his vision blurred and, in some sircumstances, doubled. His mind was completely muddled, and he could hardly think straight. His temples pounded with a vicious headache as his body struggled for control, and he frowned unsteadily and wavered, shaking his head drearily. "No, no' crow, crawd." he enunciated, referring to the imaginary gathering of wolves that had been there such a short time ago. Arsenio frowned. Had they not seen them? Hell, they'd been in the crowd!

Only mildly swayed by the presense of his good friend at his side, Arsenio looked confusedly at Chogan as he started on about something about February and a farm. Arsenio didn't know what a farm was, but he did know Fei (he had, in another sickened daze, mistaken the girl for Tantamount), and he tried to stick things together in his jumbled brain. The last statement felt rather strange to Arsenio, and he mumbled a quick, "Now y'killin' rabbits, Chogan? Ah dinn' know y'weres a killa'." Clearly, he had forgotten their conquest to kill the zombie rabbit way back when.
