Private for Den! Yay! It's been a while XD

Whispers could be heard as limbs crossed the bordering line between a distant place not too far from Nova Mountain. He hadn't noticed the tunnel before, and being the curious mexican male he is, he couldn't help but explore it's core, finding it's course winding deep slowly ending with darkness, and completely layered in thick clouds, it ultimatly left Kimoto with an eerie feeling. He hadn't been to a place so quiet, yet every so often, with a rhythmic motion of about twelve foot falls or so, he could hear a whisper emitted, only to turn around and see nothing there. His wolf instancts told him this place was hunted, perhaps by wolves who had once ran wild here, as hairs prickled thickly along his spine, he couldn't imagine seeing one face to face, and though he wasn't the superficial type, the atmosphere didn't fall short of providing many, as blues fell over the lands and movement was stopped suddenly. Floating not too far from where he stood was a ghastly figure, large in size, with black sockets for eyes. Mouth was agape with awe, and limbs pressed backward, moving his feet to where he once was. He couldn't believe his vision, this thing wasn't real...it just couldn't be.

He could recall the time when he too visioned himself as a ghostly figure, walking around and seeing what the valley had come to after he had passed peacefully. He had found this to be happening soon, perhaps in his late nineth year, or even his tenth, but what he couldn't prevent, was this from happening as he watched this peaceful figure with wide eyes, he suddenly invisioned himself in the ghosts paws, walking around and sad that he couldn't conversate with his friends and family. Blinking back these thoughts, and the sight he was seeing, he turned on his paws, limbs moving quickly in the way he came, while he fought to prevent his past from coming any sooner. This land was deadzone, and what more, only provided him with what he would be in years. He just couldn't be here now.

Though just as he did so, another figure had appeared from behind a ghastly looking tree, it's sockets were also black and deformed, though it's state was much smaller than the others, and rather rugged. Stepping back from this ghost as well, he swallowed hard as it began to approach him, mouthing words Kimoto couldn't quite understand. Fear ran cold through his blood as it resembled something quite like his mother Harmony, she could be seen now, brows furrled and hairs bristled as it continued to advance on Kimoto, argueing with him in words he couldn't quite understand, nor hear. "WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME?!" he questioned, turning his head around and wondering was the larger male coming as well, though the scenery only possessed one. And this figure had now changed to Fiasco. His father, and his large bulk could be seen now, brows were still furrled as his mothers were, but a sinister smirk was plastered on his maw. Apparently he wanted to do something his mother couldn't quite do. Growling now, and wishing these figures would leave him alone, he stepped back further, hoping this nightmare of a dream would end. Perhaps Kimoto had gotten what he asked for in being nosy.

There had been news. News of a land that no one in the valley had been aware of. Though it was curious to him that there could be such a place, perhaps it was not so surprising. It was an incredibly large area, full of crags and crevices and hidden holes that could very well lead to mysteries. Was that not one of the very reasons that he himself liked to explore so much? The possibility of conquering the unknown? And so as the whispers had reached him, Den had set off to uncover the truth of these rumors. The large golden male was naturally curious, and the possibilities were too good to overlook. Of course, with the news had come talk of something... perhaps supernatural about the hidden land.

Being the practical fellow that he was, Den did not believe a word of it, of course. Wind in the trees and the darkness of shadows was enough to make some grown wolves as frightened as pups. Perhaps they had been listening to too many of Temi's stories. And it was with this thought, and a simple chuckle aloud as he thought of his dramatic mate, that the sandy Alpha came to the tunnel that was precisely where word had said it would be. Well is this was true, why not the other? Nah.

Slinking through the close area, Den was in fact surprised at just how little light had followed him in. He immediately noted a heavy quiet stretching out into the distance. He'd left chirping birds, but here there was almost nothing. Except... had that been someone talking? Jerking his head to the side, the golden Alpha scanned the area with narrowed eyes, though all he saw were sad looking trees. Sighing at his own sillyness, Den continued forward, catching only the occasional scent of wolves of the valley, suggesting visitors who had made it here before him. There was no smell of inhabitants though. Of any species really.

Perking with interest, the Creek Alpha caught a trail that proclaimed Kimoto! to his nose, and considering it was quite fresh, Den set off after it, ignoring the uneasy silence that followed him, pushing away notice of the phantom talking. It was all just games in his head, put there by those rumors. There was not anything moving, though he might think he saw it out of the corner of his eye. But the scream that came to him was very real. The echoing yell was made all the more startling by the quiet it had shattered. Dashing forward, his sunny fur bristling, Den barreled onto the scene, his green eyes glittering with worry, half expecting an attack.

But all he saw was Kimoto. Pulling up short, panting from his quick dash, the Creek king's gaze was wide with expectation. His speech was rushed and flustered as the words came. What's goin on?? Are ya ok??

Delay, delay, delay! I'm so sorry Wingz!

It seemed the ghosts of these lands fancied a game of torment, or perhaps this one ghost fancied the look of frantic fright as Kimoto felt his heart leap through his chest, breathing was heavy, and once again, flashbacks of his past floated through his head. They were so fresh though, to a point where he could actually smell the air, hear the wild birds chirping, and feel the sand inbetween his toes as he shuffled through Mexican lands.

He was but eight or nine months here, and obviously alone as he sniffed his way around, hoping just this day, that he'd be able to find a nice and easy meal, though nothing proved short of a victory for his nose found no dead carcass, neither a helpless creature on the ground, and yet again a sigh was emitted. He'd be going hungry yet again tonight. If you don't know Kimoto's history by now, he lived in the lands of Mexico with his family, and pack of elders who had birthed his mother Harmony, to which she feel in love with a male named Fiasco who had joined the pack shortly after Harmony reached two years old. Harmony had a promising fate, infact, what she didn't know was that the elders were thinking of choosing her for a high rank, until she had fell madly in love with Fiasco. The male was handsome, dark and rather muscular, he could fend for himself, and had a reputation of being rather aggressive, though it seemed Harmony found this to be rather cute, for she was like puddy in his hand, where ever he went she followed, until, months later, they became mates. Fiasco wasn't the kind of wolf her elders found promising, to the point where they purposely kept him in a low rank, simply so he could prove his worth, to which he hadn't yet, and when Harmony decided to announce her like for the male, others shunned her, lowering their head in a manner that suggested she should know better. They wanted her to mate with LeStat, another handsome and rather promising male, the only downside; the was cocky and had a reputation of flirting with anyone within radius. For short Harmony was disgusted. She wanted Fiasco, and without warning, they found her to be pregnant but a couple months after this, with none other than Kimoto and his other siblings.

They were birth some time later, and when word got around they were both shunned to be Omega's, and what more, were barely recognized as anything other than dead weight. The puppies were treated as equal as the parents, and thus Fiasco grew to a point where he couldn't stand being around them, including poor blue eyed Kimoto. Elders had told him when he was younger that blue eyes were the sign of the devil, and instantly he planted this inside Harmony's head, alongside his puppies who grew to taunt the young male. Bringing forth a self-conscience puppy without a shoulder to lean on.

Though, this date he was forced to watch had nothing to do with his history, it was much more defined as revenge as 'Fiasco' charged toward Kimoto, doing a ritual he happened to do when Kimoto was younger. He tackled the young male, mouth closing on his frail body, biting into any flesh he could find, until he tasted blood and gave up. It was Kimoto's punishment for wandering off alone, and he had plenty of scars to prove he not only did this for fun, but to survive. His young voice rang out in a plea, yelps of all kinds sounded as he begged for mercy, leaving with a wounded paw, and a sore pride. He was crossed, and wanted nothing more to do with this pack, promising himself that he'd find his way out of Mexico and come to a place that actually accepted him.

Blinking not once, but twice and the vision was gone, including his charging father, while Kimoto's body was found haunched over into a fetal position, whimpers of all kind emitted from his maw before an ear twitched and he glanced around. It was an errie silence, one he knew probably wouldn't last long, for Den's paws came clambering through his ear canal, and he lifted to all fours quickly, he couldn't be caught whimpering over nothing. Not by his alpha of course. Forcing a smile, eyes gazing around slowly, he stepped toward Den, his tail wagging as he played his part "Nonsense Den, I think your hearing things" a paw lifted to nudge at his alpha, hoping he hadn't crossed any bounderies between his companion as he continued "But, erm, welcome to the DeadMans land!" it echoed through the lands, sending a shiver through his spine as a crooked smile forced through. Perhaps they shouldn't be standing on this soil much more longer...

Finally!

In Character

As Den dashed forward, all manner of things rushed through his head as he wondered what the yelling had been all about. There was no doubt that this place was...well...creepy, and it didn't exactly make him want to skip and chase butterflies. His golden fur already stood stiffly upon his back, though he attempted to tell himself that he was simply being silly. Just because there was very little sunlight, and the wind rustled through the tress in a way that made it sound like whispering, did not mean that anything unnatural was going on here. Except that there was no wind blowing. It was, in fact, all rather still.

But whatever he had expected to find when he came upon his earthen friend, it was not what met him. Instead of something attacking Kimoto or him being stuck in a dangerous situation, there was...nothing. Nothing but the mate of his fellow Alpha, shifting to face him, with a smile on his face that said that nothing in the world was troubling him. Perhaps there was just a hint of tension in his voice, just a bit too jovial, that suggested that the Epsilon was not quite as comfortable as he appeared, though as long as he was not in trouble, Den would let that pass.

Clearing his throat, the sunkissed male frowned once, but he returned his friend's nudge of greeting, glancing about the area as he did so. Ermm... yeah I guess maybe I was. Strange.... Kimoto's words should have brought a laugh to his throat, a grin of humor to his face, but somehow Dead Man's Land just did not sound so funny at the moment. With a sudden start, his head twisted, as he could swear he saw a flash of something out of the corner of his eye. What was going on with this place? Dead Man's land, huh? I'm not sure I like it here. It's... not right....

Perhaps a tribal wolf could show up now? It'll be good for the ending post... and help Kimoto realize that there really aren't ghosts
The creepy sensation that had flowed through Kimoto's body before, dissappeared, and he felt his hairs ease toward his torso. The fact that he'd saw his parents (who were supposed to be dead by now) frightened Kimoto. What more, he didn't want Den seeing him like this, not when he still had much to show to his alpha, and what more, because, when Den had indeed appeared, the lands were empty, filled with nothing close to scary, and this confused Kimoto. They dissappeared when someone else was in the area, perhaps because they only wanted Kimoto, and showing his worst fear was perhaps, the best way to straighten the mexican male up. Even if he did hate to admit he had a fear.

Ears perked when he heard the tension in Den's voice. He could tell Kimoto, his fellow Epsilon, was fooling when he said nothing was the matter, and even worse when he mentioned the name he decided to call this place. "Deadman's land" was the best name to give this ghost riddled land, especially when they tried to take Kimoto's heart by force, and give it an attack. Nothing here was friendly. Yet, what confused him the most, was how quickly the ghost had dissappeared, and how vivid the actual images were, it was as though Kimoto were dreaming the whole thing, and what had indeed sparked it was the whispering her heard through the lands, which sounded vaugely like his mother and father.

Litte did he know, that soon he'd get to meet the wolves who actually lived here. Especially a wolf named Sakari, and another named Hawkspur. But for the time being, there was only Den and himself, and the atmosphere was chilling. "I know what you mean..." he answered, blues gazing around as he spoke never noticing the figure who walked around freely in the background.

That's cool with me if we can find someone to do it!

In Character
Den was not the superstitious sort. There was generally a logical explanation for almost everything. Almost everything. Even he would admit that there were things out there beyond his understanding, things that were mysterious and unexplainable. But thus far, all that the golden male had sensed was a feeling of discomfort. He had not seen the ghosts that Kimoto had. Of course, he had thought he'd heard voices, but for all he knew, there could be some other stray wolf wandering around out there. Maybe if he tried particularly hard he could catch the scent of these other, very real, wolves. Or maybe he was just telling himself that.

Glancing about, Den couldn't really understand why anyone would particularly want to inhabit this area, other than the privacy. But even that had been broken now, as rumor had spread of this discovered land. Maybe... maybe they shouldn't be here. Whether someone was living here or not, there were just certain places that did not invite trespassers. The land itself seemed unfriendly and maybe they should just take this as a sign. I thought I wasn't superstitious... the golden male teased himself. Sighing heavily, the young leader turned his gaze back toward his companion. ya didn't see any traces a anyone livin here did ya? I can't help but feel there's someone here... or there was. But I don't really smell much... how can that be? N surely someone in tha valley woulda noticed by now. It's not like we're gonna find out we have some mysterious strangers for neighbors or somethin... right?

I think Akumu might be jumping in, if not then someone else..I suppose they could just jump in when they are ready..."
And again, as he gazed around, the male was confused. The lands seemed uninhabitable, the area around it seemed to cold, too frigid to hold even the strangest of creatures, and this could have of course caused the mexican male to shiver in horror. Just thinking about living here scared him, perhaps being nosy and coming here wasn't the best idea afterall.

But what made the situation better was that he was no longer alone. He had company, and as long as he had company the ghosts wouldn't appear (they were ghosts to Kimoto anyway) and as long as they didn't come was fine to Kimoto, especially if he didn't have to look into the dead eyes of his parents again, just the though made him shiver slightly, blues gazed around uneasily as he forced himself to speak "No, I didn't sense anyone around...I thought I was alone..." he trailed off, looking toward Den again as he attempted to explain "I mean, from what I understood, since there was no smell and all, I was alone..." silence and he commented "You think someone lives here?" he questioned, finally finishing look around slowly, sighing deeply as he felt his heart settle. The best thing to do now was to leave when things still looked good for the future, yet something was keeping him glued here. And he was still unsure of just what that "something" was.

Sorry if this is a bit rough, I'm running around trying to put trash together and nineteen other things. o_o; I hate Tuesday mornings, woiajfoew. I also think I'm starting to get Cochise down (took me long enough, haha.), huzzah.

"Someone does," Cochise answered smoothly from the brush, keeping her distance. She knew better than to get directly up in the face of two wolves who were clearly much larger than she was. Plus, the number didn't help any either. Two was one too many for the headstrong and firecracker-tongued medic and the last thing she wanted to do was smash around on their buttons too much. Her tail coiled over her back and flicked once as though she were honestly trying to instigate that she was of some authority, despite the fact that she wasn't — but there wasn't anyone around to correct her. It was better to play on that guise than anything, anyway.
Perhaps, on a second thought it would have been better to stay as that 'ghost' in the brush, rather than be so forward as she was. But, not even the medic of the Hó’nehe was able to turn back time so swiftly. "And trespassing you are," she said, slightly bristled but her tone stayed even and unwavering. "But then again, you're also no different than the others who've come and trampled through here." Yes, how disrespectful. "So, care to share what curious story made you come here? I can't imagine that you're here by accident – no one has been so far."

Den nodded along with Kimoto's words as they seemed to mirror his own thoughts about the lands that they were standing on. There was certainly something funny about this place, but it did not scream out PACKLAND like any others that he had seen. So surely not. And so, as the earthen male's query came, the large golden male had just opened his mouth to answer, when someone did that task for him.

Whipping his head around, Den's emerald gaze widened in surprise at the sight of a another wolf, and he felt his sandy fir bristle upon his back. Glancing back toward Kimoto and then back to the ebony stranger, as though to assure himself that the creature was actually there, Den listened warily as the female spoke again. Someone did live here? This was just...strange.

His first impulse was to apologize of course. He was no trespasser. But suddenly, Den felt slightly irritated. How were they supposed to know that there was a pack here? Clearing his throat, the Creek leader spoke calmly, but seriously. Pardon us Miss. But we didn't know. N I think that's tha problem. Ya can't expect a whole vally a wolves tah stay outta here if there's not clear signs that this is yer land. Someone came across this place, not sure who, n a course gossip spreads. Might I ask how long ya've been here?

Long enough, she said, not really sure how long it had honestly been that they had been there. Too long, and here they hadn't even found their Me'ko. Long enough for the season to change, you could say. She gave him a better answer for that matter, figuring that since they weren't wigging out (completely) over her sudden come about, then perhaps they'd at least cooperate.
She could hope, at least. And do you really see a need for us to mark our borders so aggressively? Look around you — we are in enclosed for the most part. They did mark their borders. She did at least, but that was mostly out of the fact that Cochise was strongly territorial. She felt like it had to be done, but of course that only went so far, she wasn't really a marking machine, per se.

Maybe we could end this with two or one more reply from each wolf. I know this thread has been here for a while XD
Mind in a jumble, his head turned quickly (thoughts fled as he did so) while Cochise's figure came to his blue pools. She was a healthy looking female, perhaps almost as healthy as Kimoto and Den, and she looked quite strong. Yet, the longer he stared at her, taking in her features and hearing her tone, the more he wondered. Was she one of the creatures living here? it was easy to place false judgement on someone, mainly because well...Cochise looked similiar to the wolves on the valley, yet the tone she issued and the warning that followed put him in his place as his mouth opened to answer.

"We didn't mean to tresspass ma'am. As my alpha stated, we couldn't tell that the borders were marked. We're sorry" he turned fully now, allowing his full attention on her as he half-listened to what Den had to say. Though he beat him to the question, Kimoto was thinking much of what his alpha was "You've been living here that long? It's funny I never noticed this place until now..." he paused a moment, swallowing the saliva that gathered before stating "If you don't mind me asking, which pack are you from? What does your pack call themselves?" he finished, his head cocking to the side as he did so.

Works for me. :]

Cochise said nothing about the fact that they had trespassed. She had heard the story a hundred times before them, and probably would at least a hundred more. This place is Hó’nehe-htso’e, and we call ourselves Hó’nehe, she said, holding on being civil for the time being. Cooperating, despite the fact that her patience was thin for the day and she was equally tired of it all.
And what of you? You, she eyed Goldenshadow, are an Alpha. From where? It would pay to get to know the names of the packs, for the hell of it. Cochise didn't expect that they'd always stick around there and bother getting too neighbourly anyway; once they found their Me'ko, it was back home that she was looking forward to.

I totally forgot about this thread! So sorry! We can end this now :P

Something just didn't quite seem right to Den about this whole situation. Clearly if so many wolves were "trespassing" then the resident group was not doing an adequate job announcing their presence. Of course, it did seem a bit like they were trying to avoid doing exactly that, for thus far, the golden male had heard no tales about a new pack in the valley. The stranger was right though in her statement that since the area was almost enclosed, and the entrance had been virtually hidden til now, they perhaps had had less reason to worry about borders. But how had an entire group made their way here without anyone noticing?!

The haughtiness of the ebony female annoyed Den, but he supposed that she had some right since they were now apparently standing on her lands. And suddenly, tossing his gaze around quickly, the young Aibheis felt rather uncomfortable. There was much to think about. Perhaps it was best if Kimoto and he made their exits before they chanced upsetting this "native."

're apologies again Ma'am. N yes', I'm GoldenShadow, Alpha a Silver Creek, one a tha valley packs. There are a lotta wolves out that tunnel, so I wouldn't be surprised if ya find more poppin up here, just so that ya know. But we didn't mean tah intrude. If you'll pardon us, my friend here n I'll be movin along back home.

And we're done! :D Good thread!
Ho'nehe-htso'e. the name had a strange ring to it, if it actually rolled off the tongue smoothly that is. Letting his ears fall toward his head, as to show he meant no harm to the female, nor her tribe, he gazed toward Den as though to say he was ready to leave. Apparently this female was just as eager for them to leave as Kimoto was to departing.

Listening as Den tried to reason with her, and further appologize, his head nodded along as though to show he had no reason to lie, before adding a "Again, we're sorry for intruding" he bowed to her briefly and turned to leave with Den. Amazing how he never noticed the new wolves until now, he wondered if the whole Valley knew about them, and furthermore, what they were going to do about it....
