Rawr. I'm starved for threads. x_x

She had deliberated about coming to the unknown place for a second time. It was the most unsettling area that she had seen in a while, without a doubt - but then again, it wasn't every day that a mysterious new section of the valley was discovered. When she was here, she felt as if she was by no means the only one around, although it was difficult to deny that she was alone. She wasn't quick to label the place as haunted. She had never really had a firm belief in ghosts and the supernatural, although she was open-minded enough to be willing to accept such things as fact. The problem was that they were not facts, and that there was no solid evidence to support the theory that this dimly lit area was truly haunted. Of course, the entire point of the paranormal was that it couldn't be proven as fact, and that assumptions and educated guesses were what led to belief in all of its peculiar aspects. Nonetheless, she was skeptical. There was probably an explanation for all of this - she just hadn't found it.

In the end, though, her choice had been to pay another visit to the unknown place. She walked through its forest carefully, not wanting to make too much noise. If she mistook her own breathing or footsteps for that of someone ("or something," said the dark thoughts in the back of her mind) else, several things could go wrong. One of the more obvious things was that she would frighten herself - or maybe her current acknowledgment of that made it unlikely to actually happen. Not to mention the fact that, if she was really walking so carelessly, she could scare away anyone ("anything", the dark thoughts reminded her) that was around. Hell, maybe that would be a good thing. On the other hand, if there really was someone unknown and mysterious here, perhaps someone would eventually find them and be able to speak to them. Cep couldn't help but feel that she didn't want to be that someone.

I need to get more active with Kiriana, so I'm doing it tonight while I have the chance.
inside of character
She'd been sitting there for who knew how long. She'd heard about this place through the pack meeting, and was now intrigued at this place. Perhaps she could end her life with what was said to be here. Besides, she had been thinking a lot about her life lately, and if something happened to happen her, then no one would think it was suicide. It would just be a rather slow and mournful death. Though, she was planning on anything brutal or anything to come and get her. She was curious as to what was around here. She had heard a few voices speaking to her, but hadn't been able to read what they were saying to her or to anybody. That was when a mysterious dark figure had been spotted only a few feet ahead of her, when she quirked a brow. Hey, it was that chick from that meeting with that... gerbil, was it? Looking closer, she was darn sure it was that lady from that rodent meeting.
You might not want to be out here for very long, she mumbled, picking her rump up from the ground, and looking around herself before walking forwards. Mysterious and deadly things have been notified about this place. Why am I here? that was a question that was slightly odd. She hadn't exactly thought about telling anyone, but Deception wouldn't take her for anything less that what she knew about Kiriana before. I'm keeping an eye on this place, discovering what its like to be a shadow, indeed it was true. Kiriana liked the idea of being another shadow in the world, and not having to deal with the stresses of what had gone on in her pack recently. Perhaps it was the best thing for her, but she didn't want to have to bother with anyone for a while. And sensing that no one really wanted her in Mount Shadow because of her demotion, she figured she'd best just go to the place where not many wolves visited cause it was so creepy.

This place was very unnerving. Kimitachi’s breath was coming out in little wisps, wisps he could visibly see. He took in a huge breath, only to see a cloud puff out from exhaling. It was all very spooky, to say the least. He didn’t know why he was here, or even what he was doing. The pitter patter of paws and low tide of voices made his ears prick up though, and brought the matter to his attention. Without hesitation he headed over, sure steps faltering just a bit in the current presence. Two shady characters appeared in his line of vision, making him pause. Where they ghosts, phantoms come to steal his earthly soul? He squinted slightly, peering closer as if to get a better look at the stealers of his future. There were two slender forms, both talking while he sat in the midst of fog and darkness. What more wonderful way was there to be taken than by two female angels?

Striding closer he let his eyes fully clear and pause upon two females indeed. Both were unknown to him, one completely the other he recognized. It was the female he had seen putting her head near her mate’s shoulder in agony at the pack meeting. The other was a Fielder, the scent of Strawberries heavy upon her pelt. ”Pleasure to meet you two ladies. For a moment there I was sure you were here to take me to heaven.” It was a tad bit cheesy but it was true. What could one expect out of this forsaken ground? The place was definitely dangerous, yet it was so alluring and magical. Not a hint of light it was submerged in smoke, blending with a palette of blues, yellows, and grays. It was particularly lovely, but he kept envisioning the look on the green eyes female’s face. He had to catch his breath and delude the image with other memories. She was the same rank as he, and yet she had been here for so much longer. He would feel as if the alpha he had served under for so long had betrayed his trust if he was in her position…

It had taken her this long to realize that she was currently just standing around idly, but that hadn't done any harm. At least she had granted herself the time to figure out as many details about this situation as she could...which obviously wasn't a large number. She didn't expect to be able to figure out this entire situation. In fact, she couldn't imagine herself being surprised if she only confused herself more than ever, all as a result of this trip to the mysterious area. However, she also couldn't visualize herself being disappointed in a situation of total failure. She knew that most perplexing subjects were usually solved eventually, and so someone else would probably manage to figure out what all of this meant. Contributing to that was the fact that the place probably wasn't very unknown at the moment. It had been known of for a long enough space of time to allow word to spread. It wasn't as if the wolves of the Salvaje Valley had many other things to do - just hunting, eating, sleeping, socializing, and discussing current local events.

Brushing her thoughts aside for the time being, she stepped forward, eyes drifting about with a sense of caution. Since the strange entity that was around here - if there was one at all - obviously wasn't a fan of revealing itself, she hardly had to worry about suddenly running into it. However, it wasn't long before she came across someone else - someone who was, thankfully, a normal and familiar wolf. Cep recognized her from the day, several months ago, that they had both found a gerbil and spoken to him. But something was different about Kiriana, as compared to the way she had been before. It was hardly surprising that she mentioned the mysterious beings, but Deception was somewhat alarmed to hear them being described as deadly. Things became stranger as the emerald-eyed female asked herself why she was here, and then mentioned that she was finding out what it was like to be a shadow.

Not knowing how to reply to the strange and solemn comment, she simply responded, ”At least those presences haven't gone unnoticed,” topping it off with a slight shrug. Of course, things would be far less odd at the moment if the "unknown" place had never been discovered in the first place. On the other hand, if it had been discovered, and the entities were only noticed by several wolves, things would be much more stressful and difficult. However, there was little time to ponder that, as a male wolf soon arrived on the scene and greeted them. ”Pleasure to meet you, too,” the obsidian female said, ”Unfortunately, not even company can make these conditions seem more bearable.” She glanced at the darkness and fog to prove her point.

Sorry for this post :/ I lost my voice, as well as I woke up to a bloody nose, and I have a slightly stuffy nose. :o
inside of character
For all things true to her stature, you could immediately say to Kiriana that she was indeed entering into a depressive woman that just didn't give a piece of pie about life. But all of the facts led to things, and she knew that everyone had their faults, and just by visiting this god forsaken place, maybe she'd make her home here now, besides they fit together. The gloomy with the depressed, it was a perfect match - correct or no? Looking up briefly, hearing the faint match of the wind, and with a voice circling around that same wind she listened. Some of the voice was a different one, but another one was unwavering in the air. It was a real voice, a voice that she didn't recognize, but yet believed she'd heard from somewhere. Before she thought more on the subject, she saw the lining of the male approach, and quirked a brow. She'd seen him at the meeting, but yet forgotten the males name. But obviously, it seemed she might've been an angel.
An angel? Pfft, I'll be lucky if I make it into heaven at this rate, she mumbled, in instinct at saying heaven she looked up to the sky, though dark and mysterious, rolled her eyes, and looked back to the two wolves that had now accompanied the fog in this unknown place. They never go unnoticed when they're craving for attention from the strangers that have now inhabited their lands, she said, looking around as to show her that the voices were coming from every direction known. Kiriana didn't quite mind, sometimes the voices around her spoke the strangest words, and Kiriana would translate them believing that they meant something related to her. Bearable conditions? I myself find this place more than stunning, if I do say so myself. No other place can capture its beauty, she commented, grinning awkwardly, before placing her rump down onto the hard ground, that devilish smile still in tune to her face.

His presence was quite thankfully noticed, causing him to wonder about the two who stood before him. Not his heavenly angel dream was presented, but normal females with real lives and issues. Strange, in this place he felt more elusive and out of the picture than usual. Maybe this scene was making him drowsy, making the world sway like the rocking bow of a ship. Regaining his focus he centered his eyes back upon the two females, especially the one with green eyes. A flash crept into his mind of her sobering at the mention of the demotion. He hadn’t stayed long enough to watch her leave their little party. Her voice brought him back from his drifting thoughts, like the listless beings that roamed these troubled hills. The dark Fielder obviously felt as if the terrain was an awful omen, a powerful message amongst the usual trivial lifestyle.

He couldn’t understand the other at all. What did she mean by all her talk? He wet his dry mouth a bit, running his tongue across the pink healthy gums. He was always up for a good mystery and this one was leaving him full of questions. Why did she feel the way she did about such things? Yes demotion stung, but surely it couldn’t have been that much of an awful deed could it? He nodded in reply to the Fielder, a soft smile forming upon his maw as he responded to the Mountaineer’s comment in turn. ”It is rather stunning. The spirits add a touch of elegance and magic.” He countered himself at this point adding with a grunt, ”Of course, if you believe in such things. They’re just illusions in my mind, they can’t possibly be real.” He was quieting the adventure inside him he knew, but logic was the answer here. Spirits and such was something for the older wolves to believe. As for him, he wanted something real that he could see, feel, and touch. These ‘things’ didn’t exactly fit that description.

Lyrics by Plain White T's - "Hate (I Really Don't Like You)"

Hate is a strong word,
but i really, really, really don't like you.
Now that it's over
I don't even know what I liked about you..

She was indeed a very solemn creature at times, and very emotional. Yet deep inside of her, she was a rather exciteable young being. She cared more for friends than anyone, she was on her indepent strike for more of life. She was hungry for loving life, that was what it was. She didn't much mind if anyone decided that she power hungry or any of that. She found that she had liked this place, it was so mystical, and no one would ever realized just how special this place was. Perhaps the noises she heard were just unmade and unheard, but she swore this place held beauty in itself. Perhaps something of a more past experienced type of area, but it held so much power that it was strange.

Brought you around,
and you just brought me down.
Hate is a strong word,
but I really, really, really, really, really don't like you.

Much of her experience led on her life here, so the valley was her place to stay. Though, she was sure that this place may be her newest favorite place. Such mystery layed here and adventure was what she lived for. The fielder quickly dashed off, saying her apologies and leaving with a sudden rush that the shadower didn't quite know of. Perhaps the fielder had some pack business to attend to? Magic was definetly put into creating this place, because I've seen nothing more beautiful than this place, she commented, looking around the solemn area, feeling watched but yet figured it was nothing except maybe the fielder had decided to spy, or something of the latter. Illusions? No. Ghosts? More possible than illusions, she knew her answers were mostly correct. Though they were ghosts, there was definetly presence in this place.

Oh Lyrics huh? *Crack fingers and gets ready to counter* Courtesy of My Chemical Romance,-‘Ghost of You’

»»»»»»»

I never, said I'd lie and wait forever
If I died we'd be together now
I can't always just forget her
But she could try

»»»»»»»

He looked over with a speculative glance at his now sole companion in a world of insecurity. He was picturing this painting just a bit differently than she was. He let his eyes wander from one part of the mist to the other. Magical and mystical alright, and very unordinary for his tastes. He didn’t trust things that he couldn’t understand down to the point. He had always been that way, always seen things that way. He hadn’t believed that his mother was going to come back had he? He had seen her body, and for a moment he had been shocked but then he had come to understand it. Beautiful indeed, but beauty could be so very dangerous. Did Kiriana understand something like that? It wasn’t that complex was it? Or was there more to it then that tidbit of information given to every roving mind seeking something more?

»»»»»»»

At the end of the world
Or the last thing I see
You are
Never coming home
Never coming home
And all the things that you never ever told me
And all the smiles that are ever gonna haunt me…

»»»»»»»

The wind blew through his pelt with a stupor, shattering the intellectual being inside. It sent chills down his spine, making him wonder. Maybe they weren’t ghosts or illusions. Maybe they were something more than anyone could ever contemplate. "Magical and beautiful yes. I’ll be spending time here- on scientific study- to get a good perception of the place." He was such a lie; he knew his free time would be spent here for quite sometime. Its mysteries were enchanting and charming him to the point of recklessness. Both he and Kiriana seemed entangled in the web. That thought sent him backward to where the present tense was. This was, too much. Fear churned in his gullet, hot and cold at the same time. Everything came with a price in a place like this, where nothing was guarantee. Besides, there was more than one way to turn someone into a ghost…

»»»»»»»

Never coming home
Never coming home
Could I....
Should I?
And all the wounds that are ever gonna scar me
For all the ghosts that are never gonna.....

I actually hate putting lyrics into my posts, lol. But, music is my life, so yeah.

This place held a lot of mystery for the canadian wolf, a mystery that she wanted to solve. She lived for darkness, because it held solitude in such easy despair. It held the cries and pleads of others. Though she wasn't one of those dark and sinister wolves, but yet she found the nightlife and darkness to be something she loved. Besides, hearing the whispers around her, she could only smile and know that things were so good. They were quiet and so gentle and that this place was so quiet that everyone was allowed to be in this gentle place. Perhaps if no one else was really here, she would sit down and take a long moment and make a loud howl to feel invincible in this darkness. She was just a very calm and quiet girl and wouldn't actually dare to make such a noise when she knew no history of this place.
Scientific study? I think Kiriana had more of the intention to reflect here as well as maybe take a few hunting trips here to see what kind of animals lived here. It made her smile in the effect that she might be able to do something like that. As Hunting was her passion, she wanted to experience a new place to hunt. I may not come here very often, just because the place is a bit unknown for me to know its safe, she said, smiling a tad awkwardly to emphasize her comment. She did feel that the place seemed a bit odd in all cases, just because it was fairly quiet and was a very deserted place. So, she figured she wouldn't test the world about this and leave the unknown place alone.

XXX-Well I didn’t mind puttin’ lyrics into that one. ‘The Ghost of You’ is one of my faves. And since Deception left, does that mean that between the two of us we have to come up with a certain number of posts without her post count?-XXX

Kimitachi didn’t know to respond to Kiriana’s comment exactly, but he let a soft smile make its way along his maw. She was very different than the others he had met around the pack. Funny, he had thought that most of them were all the same. He watched the shadows flicker, peeping eyes watching him from the silky mists draping the ground like the froth on the inside of a cappuccino cup. He felt if he stayed for a while, he could get a good perception of the place as a whole. Getting off his rumpus he shook away his fear, mood changing just that quickly. His body literally brimmed excitement against the danger that boiled all around them. Could she see how excited a young body was, the way he flitted around in interest? It reminded him of a young pup and almost made him want to laugh at himself.

»»»»»»»

He walked up to her, peering into those green eyes. He was slightly trembling, from the mere anticipation. "Do you wanna go now? Exploring I mean." Hazel eyes held her gaze, waiting for a reply. He was interested in this place, wanting to go even deeper into the midst of it all. The adventurous side of him was coming back, the side that had gotten him hurt too many times before, causing more pain than he could have ever imagined both physically and emotionally. But once Kimitachi put his mind to a certain subject, he was not liable to leave that certain subject alone. His tail wagged as he awaited an answer, his feet attached to a sort of spring ready to propel him if she decided to say yes. He didn’t need a companion, but something like this would be sort of nice. Besides, life around here had been all too quiet. He was ready for some real adventure.

Replying to this, then I shall post in the maintenance thread. :)

But all of the facts led to things, and she knew that everyone had their faults, and just by visiting this god forsaken place, maybe she'd make her home here now, besides they fit together. Some of the voice was a different one, but another one was unwavering in the air. Perhaps a real voice, telling her to follow, something she wasn't very open minded to doing. Especially when she was so far from home.
Looking at the other Mount Shadow wolf, she quirked a brow. Exploring? Around here? It seemed a very whacked out thing to do, since they were so far in the land, so she figured it best that she just go home. She was already depressed here, and she'd rather explore the place later when no one else was around. So she shook her head slowly, Sorry Kimitachi, I promised my friend that I would take a hunt with him and I was on my way to meet up with him, but I'd love to explore around here at some other time, she replied. She felt horrible to clearly not going to explore with him, but she really did have a hunt planned with her friend Chehalis. Perhaps another time? It was nice to meet you, Kimi, she answered, as she dipped her head, and fled in the way she believed to be Mount Shadow.
