All welcome, but I would like at least one Ho'nehe wolf =)
Set before Nakir tried to rape her.

It was always dark in this unknown part of the Valley. The sun was long gone, but Lasair did not know that. Too caught up in searching for the herb for Mars’ injured paw, the impending nightfall caught her unawares. Her silver-grey eyes gleamed like one of the spectres she saw with Element a day or two ago. There were none of them around now. But Lasair was blind to all other things save for the plant right now. Her determination to heal her beloved Mars fuelled her courage to set paws onto the strange shadowy land.

She pulled the leafy herb from the ground. Satisfied with her find, she thought to begin making her way home before it gets too dark. But the sky turned dark hours ago! Now that her mind was taken off the herb, the unfamiliar surroundings shrouded in mist and shadows began to terrify her. Which way out? With a mouth full of cucumber-tasting plant, Lasair wandered aimlessly around the forest looking for the exit.

Through the shadows, Cochise was quite like a wraith. Dark-haired living in an equally shadowed place, she used to the nightfall as a cover to shield her from prying eyes that in the daytime could easily pick out a black wolf against a fall palette of colours. A pair of amber eyes peered out from some brush rather sinister-like, but she was far from sinister. She hadn’t been trailing the Creeker very long, but long enough to know that she was looking for something. It wasn’t until she had gotten to a patch of herbs that grew wild, and Cochise almost gave a gaping look of dismay at the fact that there was an unknown wolf picking around in her herbs!
Well, she wasn’t going to stand for them traipsing around and taking things now! “Hey!” the dark-haired medic said out of nowhere, coming in through the silence and stepping from her hiding place in the brush, coiling her dark tail high up over her back. “Just what do you think you’re doing? Those are mine, not for your taking!” She was protective of that small batch of plants for their healing properties, very much like she was over-protective of her home, the Hó’nehe Tribe.

Weee! I was hoping the local medic would show up =P

The ‘hey’ startled Lasair so much that she screamed, dropping the bundle of herbs in doing so. She was trembling in fear, unsure if the dark wolf that was doing all the shouting in the first place was flesh and blood or a ghost. Rumour has it that this place was infested with spirits and spectres. Could this be one of them? She continued to stare wide-eyed at the other wolf. She said those herbs were hers. Was she some spirit of herbs or something?

“A-are you a g-ghost?” Lasair said in barely more than a whisper. She wanted to say she was sorry and that she was about to leave the moment she found the way out, but the meek little red wolf was too petrified to say anything else or do anything. Her limbs have lost the ability to move.

I couldn't resist when I read something about Lasair taking herbs. XD I knew that Cochise would get her knickers in a twist about it.

Boy, Cochise was probably about as angry as a mama bear after an unruly cub the way that she stomped right out of those bushes and right up to the then screaming wolf. With the herbs dropped, the medic didn’t hesitate in snapping them up and growling, putting them right back where they were supposed to go. She’d have to find some use for them now that they had been plucked, but she figured that she could hide them in one of the many hollow, rotten out logs to dry them out before winter came.
With a snort and then a bit of a laugh, Cochise’s attention turned back to the herb-thief and she eyed her. “Ghost?” she asked, amused with that question. “Depends, who’s asking? What’re you doing here, hm?” She wasn’t about to answer that question because it seemed like the trembling wolf may have not liked ghosts. Cochise didn’t like to lie but it came with the job too. Sometimes it paid to lie to someone who was sick, but in this case no one was sick and she avoided the question rather than lying about it. If the wolf was afraid of ghosts and her intentions where to steal the herbs — then yes, Cochise was a ghost. A ghost with a set of pretty teeth, too, which she showed through an almost Cheshire grin, but it was more like a scowl on her face.

Cochise's mean xP

She looked in dismay when she saw the other wolf snatching away the herbs. She had spent so long looking for them. Now she had to take her search elsewhere and waste more time to find the plants. What did the ‘ghost’ wolf need herbs for anyway? Logic and reason began to creep back into her otherwise stunned mind. Ghosts need medicine? Do they even get hurt in the first place? Lasair was beginning to wonder if this wolf was real.

“I-I didn’t know those were yours.” She said, while less afraid of the she-wolf, she was still unable to get the tremble and stutter out of her speech. “D-didn’t know there were o-others here. My… friend is hurt. I was looking for something to stop the bleeding.” She hoped the ‘ghost’ wolf would sympathise and perhaps return her the herbs. “D-do you b-belong to the Nova Mountain pack?” Lasair felt like kicking herself. They way she was speaking, the she-wolf must think of her as an idiot.

XD! She's just indifferent towards outsiders! And sorry about the wait <3.

Cochise almost wished that she knew a way to put a fix in that stuttering problem that the other seemed to have. Then again, maybe it had something to do that Cochise was probably in her space — not giving that trespasser her five feet rule or whatever in the hell it was supposed to be. Some silly little game that she remember played as a child. “No,” she said, calm and precise as a black widow ready to strike; “are you?” She didn’t even know what in the hell or where in the hell Nova Mountain is or was. Interesting name, but Cochise didn’t have any intentions of going to visit it.
As for the bleeding friend, she felt indifferent towards that. Sympathetic, but not happy that someone was trying to steal her bloody herbs! “Haven’t you got any healing herbs of your own on that ‘Nova Mountain’? Or is it in your best interest to steal from the Hó’nehe?” Her ears pinned back and this time the raven-haired medic didn’t hesitate to really flash her the pearly whites with a snarl. Perhaps it was safe to say that she was almost beyond rational thinking, but if it was a way to keep out the brats that were stealing herbs and food and trampling over the plants in the ancestral grounds, then she’d do it. They had been wandering around long enough without question.

It's alright ^^

The she-wolf said she was not from Nova Mountain. And from the way she spoke, Lasair gathered that she did not even know what it was. Strange, the red wolf thought. Could she really be a ghost then? If not, a loner? And what was this Ho’nehe she spoke of? Was it a term for the supernatural in her language? The many questions were giving Lasair a headache and she decided to tackle them one by one.

“N-no.” She said. “I’m from Silver Creek.” Hey look! Her stutter was starting to disappear. Fear was starting to be replaced by curiosity, which had once fuelled her determination to go exploring as a pup. She felt just like one now. “D-didn’t know this is claimed territory, Miss. I came by a few days back and didn’t see anyone. I-I didn’t mean to steal from the… Ho’nehe.” She decided to venture a little more, though hoping it would not offend the she-wolf. “I-If you don’t mind me asking, what is the Ho’nehe, Miss?”

Okay, I really suck for the wait this time. It's short, since I'm spending most of my time being yelled at to do things. :D

She didn't know what the Hó’nehe were? Cochise felt a little flabbergasted over that fact — they had been around for ages! She almost did a double take on the situation. "A pack," she said, her tone flat. "Which means where you're standing right now, you're trespassing. I'd figure that you'd know better than to do that," the black-haired medic said, flicking the end of her tail passively. Apparently, these wolves from under the mountain didn't know any manners.

Quite alright =) We can just end this now, with one more post from Cochise? If not, I'll send it for archiving.

Lasair continued to stand there, dazed. A pack? Here? In the shadows of Nova Mountain? A pack that wasn’t called Nova Mountain? There were so many questions running through her head, but the hostility of the other medic prevented her from posing them to her. As far as the Creeker knew, there were only four packs residing in the Valley. Where did a fifth one come from? Would Sphinx know something about this? Or perhaps the Alpha of Nova Mountain had some inkling to the sudden appearance of this Ho’nehe pack?

Whatever the answers to her questions were, Lasair knew she was not going to extract any from the black she-wolf. “I-I’m sorry. I really didn’t know. I’ll be leaving now, Miss. Sorry again… for intruding.” She hurried away before the other could take a bite out of her. Probably through fear, luck or just desperation to get out of this shadowy ground, Lasair somehow found the exit tunnel. She quickly slipped into it, not caring to see if the ‘ghost’ was following or not.
