I post this..then I am off to do a creative writing assignment due soon =O

The week and all of its days had moved on so slowly. They never seemed to want to speed up; maybe they were in a 30mph speed zone with a cop car driving right beside them. Either the circumstnace, it was a horrible week. Amy hated to even thing the days could be any more emotionally painful. What with her struggling feelings with Takashi, and now this un-named wolf from Siver Creek that appearantly hated her for no reason.
Had the days moved on faster it'd be no better sadly. Her mind would still never catch up with what was going on around her. Her worries and sorrows could never compare to the things others had to worry about; and yet she wanted to feel sorry for herself. Who was this wolf to think he could bring her down like this? Had he no respect from others in general? Or did he like to feast on their pain. Though all the blame was not on him; no she was stupid for worrying about it. Her mind took her to a land of 'hate me today, hate me tomorrow'; and there was no chance of returning until someone slapped some needed sense into her.

He felt horrible. Ever since the blind female had retreated in hurt from his words he had felt like the lowliest scum on earth. He hated how he was behaving since coming here, hated that he was unable to control his tongue and anger, hated that he couldn't drop whatever ‘protective’ facade he was performing. With his ears flat to his skull and his motion a stiff stalk, he continued to war with himself on the inside, a silent snarl visible on his face.

It suddenly vanished however when a recognizeable scent crossed his nose. The blind wolf. She was around the lake somewhere. He was quick this time to drop his hostile guard. He was going to sort this right this time. The Devil lifted his muzzle to the air and began to track the she-wolf, until he found her, in a understandable somber mood. He stopped to look at her, his presence unnoticed. With a deep sigh he quietly approached, coming up to her side.

He spoke but four, soft words to her. I didn't mean it.

This familiar voice wasn't one Amy really wanted to hear; at least no today. But it seemed to be sincere enough to listen to. It spoke "I didn't mean it." Mean what? Telling someone who happens to be blind that she should be dead by now? That isn't something you say just because you felt like pulling a joke at the time. How do I know that. She questioned, uncertain of his sincerity. How do I know you aren't just lying to me. It may have been harsh to speak to him like this; since he probably felt horribe. He deserved it.
Was he having some sort of pity party inside himself? Did he expect to just say "sorry" like that? No, Amy wasn't going to let him off so easily; no matter if she was being stuburn or not. He hurt her, and it would take time to let it heal. Tell me, please, who are you?

She could not see it, but the black wolf shrugged in response to hers. You don't. He said, the soft tone from his previous statement replaced by a distant, lack of tone. She either had a choice to believe him or not to believe him and he had no intention of attempting to force her to take his word for it — after all, his last word he just said were not meant. Most of the times The Devil didn't speak what he did not mean but sometimes his anger said things, not ‘him’, and this was one of those cases. One of many, in fact, since coming here.

He wasn't sure what to tell her when she asked who he was. He didn't have an answer for even himself. Who was he? Just a nameless black wolf from the arctic. He had no relations here, no connections to anything, and nothing back ‘home’ mattered much. Eh... he drawled, searching for some sort of an answer, finally saying what he felt. ...No one.

She couldn't trust him, but he sounded like he meant it; though sound was decieving as with looks (but she couldn't go off that now could she?). Sometimes I wonder if you were something good to happen to me. She began to ramble on about, er, someting. After what you said to me, I had a breakdown; but in that breakdown I realised something about myself. Realized she was completely retarded and overly anxious, but yet it was good to know about herself. Of course, not everyone else was not to happy with my dealing with it. I still feel like everyone is lying to me ; sorta.
It was just as much disapointing to not hear his name, as it was rather confusing. No one? She questioned his sanity, Or is it you just feel ashamed to tell me your name. Her brow raised at him. Unless, you have no name..? It wasn't her place to pry. She had no right to. Forgive me, I won;t ask anymore questions.

It was odd that she said what she said, for ironically, The Devil had a similar incident except he did not ‘breakdown’, per se. The difference was that where she was willing to share her personal problems with a stranger, the stranger was not willing to share his. Few heard him voice his problems, and few he allowed to talk about it. Er... Good. he said, not sure how to respond for he lacked the sort of compassion that most others found natural. He had compassion, it just expressed itself in odd ways — like ultimately saving a wolf from a cliff after tormenting him about it first.

Her next statement was instantly met with a growl. He could hide a lot of things but he could not hide his great anger and pain at the mention of his name or lack thereof. Fortunately for her, she chased such comments with an apology, and although The Devil's tail lashed several times following, his growl had subsided. I have a name, he said rudely. It's just none of your business.

This dude really had no intentions of speaking to her did he? He seemed to be talking very little and making alot of action. Though, it nerved Amy abit to think about what he was doing; she only wished she could see him now, probably giving her a look. Eh, she hated thinking about "the look." ..riight.. She had to say something, anything. The silence and scarce of words was killing her. He obviously was not social.

But what nerved her the most was the fact he was so hostile about his name. God it was only a name. Sheesh. I'm sorry. Whatever floated his boat though. Amy still had mixed feelings about him anyways; like knowing his nae would make it any better. Something must be eating you. You seem so hostile. The novian raised an eyebrow. Should she even say the next thing? Sounds like you need a hug. So she did.

She was right, but she would never be told that. Something was eating the black male. Something was always eating at him. His past — it followed him around like a shadow with teeth, nipping at his heels, and it infested his soul and mind like parasites, chewing networks of tunnels and holes that anger and pain filled, leaving less room for thought and feeling. I might, he replied coldly to her saying that he sounded like he needed a hug. But don't even attempt it or you might lose another one of your senses.

He was no touchy-feely wolf, at least not right now, under his guarded and, as she said, hostile circumstances. He was a terrible apologizer — he had meant it, but no sooner had he said it did he resume his snappy attitude. At least this time it was not without warrant, a bit extreme perhaps, but provoked nonetheless, unlike their last encounter.

Either I annoy you, or you just seem to hate me for some reason. The male seemed to always, in some way, beat her down. She must have either offended him some way, or just clash with his personality. Can I give you a name then? I have a hard time refering to you as "stranger." And she couldn't call him "Mr. Black" or "Mr. White" for she had no idea what he looked like. How bout something like Fluffy. No really, she couldn't help but throw that out. She had to somehow get back at him, make herself feel better, even if it was childish.

Unless you aren't fluffy. In that case I can just call you Bastard. Her eyes lit up with a ceratin glow. Amy wasn't one to subject herself to more troble, but this male was way to suspicious. He had to be some sort of demon; hiding his true self. For your attitude. Though he was smarter than this; he could a. insult her back or b. make some witty comment about how retarded she was.

His ears fell back upon his skull as the female spoke so hard towards him. It seemed he was undoing what he had come to do in the first place. She was able to subdue him, and his threatening posture subsided into a loose, sitting position — not that she could see this. What she could hear, though, was his voice had a quieter, softer tone to it. How a bout no, to both of those names. Both were on opposite extremes and he would not stand to be called. His solution was instead to give her another fake name.

You can just call me... Mark, I guess. It was another one of those poor names but it could have been worse.

Mark? She said, almost disgusted, Fluffy is alot better. She pouted. Mark just seemed so simple, boring, and most importantly, nice; and "Mark" was no way near the niceness line. But, Mark is shall be. A mumble was made.

So, what was "Mark" doing here, besidses apologizing? Well Mark. Did you just come here to apologize to me? It seemed her tone and attitude changed alot. Why just the other day, days in fact, she was angry, depressed and really hurt. Now she was none of those things. It wasn't quite revenge, but it was something like that; make him feel horrible for what he did to her. Really though, it was not a good plan for her. Or maybe to smell the roses?

He disliked how she was starting to get arrogant with him, attempting to use the fact that he had felt bad and came to apologize against him. He extended his toes, raking his claws through the soil, channelling some of his anger into the ground. The black wolf also gritted his teeth together, but not so much that it would be audible to the blind female. Yes... he admitted, that he had came here to apologize. He repeated his message from the start. I didn't mean what I had said. Roses don't interest me much.

For being frustrated, he was able to keep his voice toneless and his anger from pouring into his words. It was a struggle for him, to change after being set in his ways for so long.

A slow sighed escaped her as she thought about what she was doing. Amy wasn't like this. It was actually hard to want ti get revenge, beat one down till they had their tail between their legs; besides, she wouldn't be able to enjoy the sight. I enjoy anything that smells strong. She commented, I can imagine better with them. But he'd care about flowers why?

Listen, Mark, I accept your apology. She dipped her head toward the ground; perfect posistion for teh low things she had done. Forgive my hostility. I've never been hurt as much as I have these past few days. So he had no right to get off easy! Or, maybe he was wolf just like the rest of them; we all make mistakes. I apologoze in return. You seem like a nice guy, with rough edges. He was like a two edged sword, with a pillow underneath; na, that makes no sense. I just hope whatever it is that makes you bitter, goes away. Everyone deserves happiness in their lives.

He wasn't expecting her change in heart but now she seemed more like the blind wolf he had met before... kind and soft. He wasn't sure how to react though, because now she was apologizing to him, lowering her crown to him, and he still felt like he was the one that had to be reprimanded for his wrong doings. The black wolf crinkled his nose, shaking his head, both gestured unseen by her sightless eyes.

Yeah, maybe, he said, not knowing how to respond. But I don't deserve what you think I deserve, not right now anyway.

Why the hell could he not deserve happiness? Was he cazy? Sure, he was a mean-nasty-pmsing-wolf, but that doesn't mean he couldn't have a small amount of happiness. Plus, someone he hurt was wishing him happiness. Amy would never be able to understand Mark. Never.

And why not? She questioned further. Hell he was probably going to yell at her for asking. Why did she even try to help anyways.

Good thread :)

IN CHARACTER

He didn't know how to answer her, how to tell her that he had done so much wrong since he had come here. She knew first hand one of his wrongs, tormenting her for a ‘fault’ that did not exist in the first place. She was blind but that was no reason to condemn her. He shook his heasd, attempting to grasp some sort of response, but still, there was quiet.

I've done a lot of wrong, he said softly. And I must fix it. If I can. Forgive me, I have to go. He dipped his head to her, but she would not see that, nor would she see how he turned and silently slipped out of her presence.
