After he had heard about the attack on the Nova wolf by the red-eyed Creek male, Chehalis felt the growing urge to travel to the two packs and re-establish good relations with the both of them. He had also contemplated whether or not to try and ease the tension between the Creek and the Mountain but felt that his attempts would be pushed aside. The Mexican male wasn't of either pack and nor did he have a whole lot of friends in either of them either -- Bronx in Nova and Takashi for the Creek and, despite close ties with both the males, one friend in each pack wasn't enough support. And thus, he decided to just worry about the Mount unless he was asked to help otherwise.

Chehalis paused a polite distance away from the borders, careful not to cross any lines or provoke anyone that could be watching him from the forests. The amber eyed Shin pulled back his ears and lowered his posture a bit as he stood there, the Autumn wind dancing across his fur as he waited patiently for someone to greet him or, in the worse case scenario, turn him away. Finding a soft patch of moss, Chehalis reclined back upon it and curled his tail around his feet, a faint smile alight on his lips.

The wind was travelling downwind of her, and it would not have been that she had seen the male outside the pack's borders had she not gone for a walk yet again. Cocking a brow she approached, wondering what he wanted or if he was just there for the scenery. "Is there something I can help you with?" she queried in her quiet voice, tone neutral, green eyes expressionless, though she dipped her head in greeting, which was as friendly as she could be to a stranger. Finally, as she reached him did she catch a whiff of his scent; he was from Mount Shadow. The white female stood in front of the male, eyes getting less frosty though her posture remained the same; neutral, not imposing, but it wasn't exactly friendly either.

Dora hadn't had news about the storm brewing between Nova Mountain and Silver Creek just yet; she hadn't met any Novian wolves other than Jubilee, and she had been nice enough not to be considered a potential enemy, but a friend, but still, even that meant nothing to her for the war wasn't known to her. In reality, she was observing the male, noting that his build was larger than hers, though not by much. She would wait for his reply and then introduce herself.

After his meeting with Mars about a month ago, Chehalis had become quite aware of the potential problems that might arise if Hassain continued his insubordinate spree across the entire Valley; or even if any of his fellows decided to take a turn towards the sour direction. He hadn't imagined any of his packmates would do that but just incase. It was never bad to be secure about these sort of things, especially with the rising tensions between Nova and the Creek. Briefly, he wondered if Mars or Takashi knew any key information about the whole issue.

It was then he caught the faint scent of a Creek wolf on the wind and thus, he turned only to find a female standing where there had previously been no one. Chehalis rose to his feet, lowering his posture in a submissive way out of respect for the landowner. At first glance, he almost mistook her for the Creek Alpha (or whatever she was calling herself these days) Sphinx but as he looked more closely he knew this wasn't the case. Smiling a bit, Chehalis bowed his head, "G'day ma'am. My name's Chehalis, a Shin and would-be Peacekeeper of Mount Shadow and I'm here to reassure positive relations between Silver Creek and the Mount."

"Ah. I'm Isadora, Ceòban of Silver Creek. It's a pleasure to meet you, Chehalis. I don't believe Silver Creek has a Peacekeeper, but I'll be happy to be a stand-in for now. Is there anything in particular you'd like to pass onto the leaders if or when I come across them?" A would-be Peacekeeper, eh? Well, peacekeeping was important, and Dora admired Chehalis for the iniative he took to travel to Silver Creek to ensure peace.

"I hope you don't mind me asking, but is there any tension between any of the packs? I'm rather new here, you see, and I'd like to know about it too." She smiled a little lopsidedly, tone sheepish, because she was asking another about stuff that she should know about. Well, it was better to be a fool for now rather than a fool forever and be caught unawares. Something told her there was something brewing, a sense of something looming, but she couldn't quite put a paw on it. Call it a woman's - or girl's, really - intuition, but that was what she felt. She awaited Chehalis's answer while her paws kneaded the ground, though her eyes and expression were both calm.

Well her responce was personable enough and that gave Chehalis the little boost of confidence he needed to raise his body to a more comfortable level (although still very respectful of course) so he could continue the conversation easier. His ears flicked forward and he smiled again, happy with her kind and helpful responce. What with the problems brewing between the Creek and Nova, he had been somewhat worried that they wouldn't have the time to speak with him. But Isadora (she had introduced herself as) seemed to not mind in the slightest. "Pleased t'meetcha Isadora and thank you, I appreciate the hospitality." He paused, thinking for a moment before shaking his head. "No, but thank you for the offer." In truth, he actually wasn't sure if Oni had any issues with the Creek but he supposed that , if she hadn't mentioned them yet, they weren't worth mentioning.

Chehalis blinked as she questioned the state of affairs between the packs. Oh, she was new! No wonder she was asking! The tawny Mexican smiled good-naturedly and nodded, tail swinging once behind his rump, "But of course! A wolf's gotta be informed, ya know?" He collected himself before continuing, turning towards the looming spire of rock in the distance, "Silver Creek and Nova Mountain have been at odds with one another since an incident a long time ago between a Creek wolf and a Nova wolf. I don't know the exact details but I think it had something to do with boundaries. Anyway, after a while, everyone kind of forgot about that and the tension subsided until recently when a black Creek wolf with red eyes attacked a Nova wolf named Allure." He turned back to her, a solemn expression upon his face. "And that's what it's come to so far."
