Twisting on the chilled breezes of the afternoon was a funeral so natural that few cared little of its happening or perhaps even noticed it. Curled, brown and crisp the leaves of the trees had long begun to fall, floating down with the last of their tawny breaths sighing against a frosted ground, where ignorant paws could churn their bodies into the ground, marking the end of total existence. The natural carpet had been present for a few weeks now, one that crackled loudly beneath the weight of any passing beast and made it a distinct difficulty when trying to hunt the ever-vigilant fauna of this valley.
Yet the Neve'heth, whose very coat lent itself to the criss-crossing of dying colours around the valley and world alike, was not thinking of the difficulties proposed by the dead leaves that were strewn across his thoughtless path. Instead, the Ahtono'e was simply shifting along with a quietness that made even breaths strain, looking about his surroundings, as if his presence here was not even a corporeal one. And many of these neighbours had assumed as much in the first place. What made him spurn to a dead stop however, flicking the edge of his tail up, was the weightless flutter of a curled leaf floating to land on the wide bridge of his muzzle.
In a manner that most would assume given the circumstances, his eyes would slide toward the middle in a criss-crossing pattern to focus on the offending flora. It rocked across the width of his muzzle, the edges, long since curled up in a shrivel, trembling with the cold, before it fell quite suddenly from grace without as much as a goodbye. He watched it alight on the ground before a cream and ivory splattered forepaw would rise to tentatively brush its edges, the soft whisper of his rumbling timbre piercing the hanging silence through somewhat pursed lips, "Winter, I don't think I'm so happy to be seeing you."

The first sight of snow at the Creek had baffled Leviathan. Mostly because it seemed in other places that he had trekked through that morning there was either very little traces, or absolutely none at all of the powdery stuff that had apparently sprinkled down from the sky during the night. Now that he had gone out as far as the rather wild and near naked trees of the Wild Fire Forest, Leviathan was convinced that perhaps it hadn't even snowed on that side of the valley.
As he made his way across the leaf-covered ground, a strange scent seemed to work its way up his nose and eventually registered in his brain as one that he had come across. Only once at that, but it was one that he couldn't forget either. It baffled him all the same though — what was one of the tribe wolves doing way out in the Wild Fire Forest? Eventually the puppy came upon the tribe-dweller himself, and a question bubbled right out of his mouth without much thought.
"You're one of those tribe wolves, right?"

As the rumbling echo of his voice died on the silver lace of the surrounding trees, the tuned taper of his ears picked up the give-away crinkle of movement on dead leaves not so far from him. Its very disturbance, deep and consistent, alerted the boy to the possibility of larger prey approaching or at least being nearby, or one of those valley wolves had scented him and where likewise piqued by the foreign allure of his scent, as so many others had been. Given the consistency of how much it had happened in the past, he assumed that it could only be the latter, especially since he was dancing in their court today.
Sure enough, amongst the bark and getting-naked shrubbery, would appear a distinctly gawky-looking pup, whose very coat was lending itself nicely to contrast with the terminal emerald all around. But even as the inhale of breath would tease along his dual nares, Spur would become aware of a scent that was fast becoming ingrained into him and he had to strain to repress the sudden urge to roll his eyes in exasperation. "And your whole pack seems to have a crush on me..." He retorted back, eyeing the Silver Creek boy with a degree of subtle wariness.
The very cast of his nature seemed to fail him a little—maybe because this was an adolescent looking thing and being a complete ass would be deemed as completely cruel—but this time he sighed heavily, this time allowing the roll of his eyes before tilting his muzzle up a touch so he had to look down on the little guy, haughtily intoning, "Yeah, and what of it?"

The entirety of everything was wasted.
"It does?" This was something new, Leviathan certainly didn't have a crush on him. At least if he did, then somewhere inwardly the boy had probably gagged on the idea. Homosexuality simply wasn't apart of his chemical markup anywhere, and if he did have a real crush on the tribe wolf then he had no idea where it came from. He had never met the tawny wolf until now. "I don't have a crush on you... I've never met you before," the boy said, pinning his ears back apprehensively, yet apologetically. Confused, that was the better word for lack of action.
"Actually, this is the first time I've ever seen someone from there... outside of there," and really, the first wolf that he had come across had just been mean. Looked like this one had a chance of being that way too. Unless of course, innocence (or lack thereof) was a solid card of playing to get out of anything. "What's your name? I'm Levi." His apologetic nature softened a bit, and the tawny-haired Creeker smiled, albeit weakly.

Every once in a while, there would be a wolf, or a pup, whose complete naivety was absolutely priceless and an opportunity to mess with them was just too much to bypass. It became evident from the first thing this Creek wolf said, that he was once such wolf, and Hawkspur couldn't help but let the small edgings of a simper work its way across his lips. And here he thought the day was going to be dull. For effect and with a look of total sincerity, Hawkspur lowered his headpiece a touch to effectively level with the adolescent's own, generating the atmosphere that the next words fluttering from his platinum chords was essential to know.
"Well, that's when it happens, Levi," He offered in a soft purring kind of voice, tacking onto the end with a neat furrowing of cinnamon-splattered brows—as if a little surprised—"Has no one ever told you?" He let the boy stew in his own mind farts for a small amount of time, trying to comprehend one tail end of his confusion from the other most likely, before politely endeavouring him with his moniker. "Hawkspur."
The Ahtono'e moved up to Leviathan's side, turning himself swiftly so that he was facing the same direction and rather awkwardly, given the height differences, bumped shoulders with him—to generate the effect of putting an arm around another shoulders—before excitedly asking with a deviant twinkle snaking around his pupils, "So, honey, we're you taking me on our little date then?"

"Not really," the boy said, oddly reminded of his conversation with Mars, which in retrospect had unrooted his fear about being cast out should the prospect of more children that were related by blood came into the picture. While Mars had been very reassuring, Leviathan wasn't sure if he just trusted what his father had to say on the matter. And then, perhaps without the warning that he should have been looking for, the Hó’nehe wolf was shoulder-to-shoulder with him.
Instinctively, Leviathan pulled away as though they were oil and water, and in reality as far as he was concerned they were. "I'm not taking you anywhere," the boy said, pinning his ears back not only apprehensively, but almost angry. "I don't have a crush on you." He was being blunt, but at least it was truth. Although, haven't he just made that clear in a way? He hadn't ever met Hawkspur, and yet here he was, bumping shoulders and talking about a date. "I don't even know you, and besides —" the boy said, pausing for dramatic effect "— I like girls, anyway."

Sorry for the delay, Ku.
No sooner had the autumnal mesh of Leviathan's shoulder brushed and mingled with his of an equal hue, had the Silver Creek lad propelled himself away from Hawkspur's close proximity and flattened his triangular ears against the rolling sweep of his cranium. Personally, the Tribe wolf didn't see the problem — not only was it a joke but personal space had never been anything he couldn't violate. His perhaps naïve mind didn't really comprehend this issue these wolves had with touching or being close too each other. Then again, Hawk had come to his own assumptions that they weren't even the same type of wolf that he was, so it came as no surprise to him really that he didn't get them.
"Alright! Alright! No need to get your pelt in a bloody twist." He mockingly called back, "Jeez and I thought it was just girls who where hormonal." Speaking of girls… he liked them? Well, for such a young wolf he doubted his relationship or being close to a girl box was relatively empty and so it was just a theory that he was stringing along with. "Oh, you do do you?" He too paused for dramatic effect, widening his eyes for his trademark sinister look, "You actually liked a girl before?" Called your bluff…

It's fine! I'm sure I've made you wait longer.
Yeah, I have, Leviathan said, despite the fact that it may as well have been a lie. Then again, he had liked his mother and he liked Lasair, but Leviathan was old enough to know that wasn't what the tribe wolf meant. The defiant teenager in him seemed to blossom underneath the question and while the matter of liked and loved played in rather stiffly, Leviathan handled it steadily. Haven't you? Or are boys your type?
Maybe it wasn't the right kind of thing to say to a wolf who was still taller and clearly the adult of the picture. Leviathan made have been roughly about the size of an adult, but it was more of a poor excuse for one. He lacked muscle and most likely seemed a bit on the puny side to Hawkspur. But that thought didn't even cross Leviathan's mind even after he had said what he had. For all he knew (and once again, could care), this rather friendly Hawkspur was probably more of a trouser-chaser than a skirt-chaser.

"Haven't you? Or are boys your type?" Hawkspur laughed at the comment, an unrestrained sinister laugh that had the very etchings of mockery at its core. It was probably sad to say, but he found himself liking this little guy… Levi, as he'd previously said: with his cutely defiant nature twisted up with a big scoop of naivety and youth. Rolling down onto the seat of his haunches, the Ahtono'e looked at him with a smug look adorning his masculine features; his ears eyes (!) narrowing to mirror that same emotion with a smile that took on all the characteristics of making someone want to wipe it off his face. "Levi, my dear, dear boy I've liked lots of girls." He leant in a touch closer, tilting the cream side of his muzzle up and touch a eyeballing him, "And lots of girls have liked me…"
To be fair he wasn't sure what he was getting at anymore… maybe he was just trying to rub it in Levi's face that the amount of girlfriends he'd had surpassed the amount of times Levi probably had eaten and although a cruel and all together immature thing to do, it didn't stand in the way of Hawkspur well, doing it. "And if I felt so inclined, all the boys would like me too." But, enough of how great Hawk is… "So, spunky kid, who've you got your eye on, eh?" His brows perched upward to emphasise his question before he whisked his tail and readjusted his headpiece to its appropriate height again. "And we'll see if we can get her for you. Because, I like you kid." Yay?

She's not here anymore, the boy said, frowning deeply. I dunno where she went. He looked as though he had lost his best friend, and in a way he had. Although it hadn't been anything more than that (seeing how he was very much still a child), but he had been rather fond of her.
I think somethin' happened to her, she liked to wander around to places, he went on after a pause, looking around as though that mystery girl was going to pop up and jump on him. His ears folded back slowly on his head and then he looked at his feet, wondering if Hawkspur would be the type to rub it in even more, or think he was lying. Leviathan had been lying about having liked girls, but he had liked one, just not what one would call love .

Sorry for the wait, Kuuu. And I thought we should wrap this up now. :)
Levi went onto explaining where his little sweetheart had gone off too and Hawkspur made a great show of appearing as though he was hanging off every word: neck arched so he could effectively look at the Creek adolescent with wide eyes, ears preened to their velvety lengths and an expectant you-have-to-keep-going look flooding across the lines of his façade. When Leviathan trailed off his little story with his girlfriend going off wandering someplace, the next thing that came out of Hawkspur's mouth hadn't meant to be as mocking as it initially came off. But, then he didn't take any steps to correct this either. "You chased her away?" The Neve'heth lad then took to frowning deeply, whisking his tail behind his sandy quarters in a judgemental fashion. "Tough break, kid." And he did look gutted about his girlfriend's disappearance too…
Oh, well. In all reality Hawkspur was failing to see how this was his problem and having always lacked compassion for his fellow beast, he simply raised his peppered quarters in a showy fashion, looking around as if trying to pinpoint something more important than conversing about love lives with this little boy. A moment later the Tribe wolf would bring himself back to Levi, stare at him for a second or so before absently adding, "But as much as I'd love to continue this thrilling chat about the fluttering of your heartstrings, or lack therefore, I have more important stuff to be doing." Then, he just walked off. Simple as.
