Strawberry Fields was about as unknown to Cochise as any of the other packs were, save for Nova Mountain. But now that they knew that their Me'ko was there, she was set in bringing him home. She had met Chogan before, but never Taigi. Chogan was her priority – she'd let the others stumble around after Taigi if they so desired.
Despite the snow that was falling, the shadowy medic was about as visible as a murderer splattered with blood in a line-up. A soft growl left her mouth as she marched around, ignoring the borders completely and coiling her tail egotistically over her spine. As flat as the Fields were, Cochise couldn't see much of anything for the swirling snow in the wind and the almost foggy conditions of everything.
But he was there, somewhere.

The pain in her right foreleg didn't really hinder her border patrolling. There wasn't anything more important to her in the world now that she knew Chogan was in danger. Perhaps not for his life, but surely for his freedom. if those strange tribe members got ahold of him again they'd never let him go. Those quacks would probably bury him in a hole somewhere and throw him some food on occasion, never to let him out until he complied or lost his mind.

Fawn wasn't much of a violent being, but sometimes it just sort of happened. And sometimes it was desperately needed. And even though her odd eyes spotted the dark wolf stalking Strawberry lands, Fawn didn't turn mean. She was going to be polite until she knew exactly what the stranger's purpose was; it was just in her nature. "Can I help you?"

Actually I think you can, oeškeso, Cochise said, inhaling deeply in a halfway attempt to seem more regal and important than she was. I'm looking for someone. Like the presumed dog, she didn't grow hostile either. Although it was a surprising thing that she hadn't been ambushed, Cochise figured that the wolves of Strawberry Fields were too busy safeguarding the Ho'nehe Me'ko somewhere.
Then again, Cochise didn't bank on asking for that information, because it would have been overly silly to draw attention to herself just yet. There were far more important things to be done than have a big train of wolves come out to investigate her, and if only this one had caught her inside of the border, than Cochise felt like their borders were ill-guarded.

A single black brow lifted at the strange word, though she was sure that it was completely derogatory in nature. Fawn stood her guard, her tail at an even line with her spine, her ears cocked forward and her eyes alert. There was no sign of pain in the female except for the slight cock of her right leg, to allow it to rest gently on the ground without applying too much pressure. She was sure that it was a weakness, but there was nothing should could do with it now.

"And who might that be?" She asked softly, her bright eyes trained upon the dark creature in front of her. Fawn felt sick, almost, thinking about what the tribal wolves would do to Chogan to brainwash him into becomng their Me'ko.. or whatever the hell it was called. all she really knew was she wasn't going to let the boy go without a fight. Even if her leg was hurt, she'd fight to the death for him.

The blackbird, of course. Cochise sneered in her own matter, and as it slowly washed from her face she smiled a bit. Just enough to expose a glimpse of her own teeth. Surely you should know what I'm talking about, unless of course your doggy brain is empty like the rest. Even though they were really about the same size, Cochise was the pure-blooded wolf. She was the medic who knew where to go for a painful points across a body like a map of the stars.
Needless to say, the hybrid's sore foot hadn't gone unnoticed. But I'll be nice about this, just move and forget I was ever here. I'm sure you have other things to worry about than an old thing like me going to talk to a relative, and it was true, Chogan was a relative. Perhaps not totally by blood, but he was tied in with the Ho'nehe, whether he liked it or not.

Chogan. So, she was here for the boy. Fawn scoffed softly at the female's attempt at an insult and simply shrugged her shoulders at it. Fawn wasn't going to allow her any further into her homeland. "Sorry, no. The blackbird doesn't want to go with you." She had heard it fom his very mouth, the day tha Hawkspur had come looking for Chogan. But he had been met by a troupe of Fielders, even Chogan himself, telling him to leave. "Can I help you with anything else?" Cocky, wasn't she?

Cochise shook her head. Well, it's not like I expected you to understand, but, she merely walked on past the hybrid, ignoring her completely from there on out. I haven't got time for your little border game. Cochise said over her shoulder, lapsing into a bit of a jog to get away from the dog-looking wolf.
She didn't want to waste anymore time. Chogan didn't have a chance, but he needed to listen. Cochise really didn't think that the blackbird totally understood how much it meant to them to have him there. There was much more to it, because he was family. Didn't they matter as much as the family that he had there? Apparently not, and it was the kind of thing that fueled Cochise's rage. She had half a brain to sock him in the head.

Fawn growled angrily, her white lips raising above her strong teeth. Fawn then snapped viciously at the wolf's closest haunch, lunging herself toward the female as if she could actually do something. Fawn was big for a female hybrid and could hold her own, but had never been forced to really be physically harmful. "Get off my lands. Now." Then she snarled like a true beast, angrier than she had ever been in her life.

Just a head's up for the nosy: Fawn and I planned this out beforehand, so we're not totally powerplaying each other to death. :D

All it took was that snap at one of her legs and Cochise turned on a dime to face the hybrid. At the sight of pearly whites, the dark-haired medic had done the same, and it was a bit of a stare down from there. And then without warning she moved in and made a direct lunge for her leg, closing in around what she figured was the part in pain with a snarl. Tasting blood was something that Cochise didn't like from the moment that the warm, substance flooded her mouth. She didn't let go of it, but jerked on it.

:P Nosey people!

As soon as Fawn felt her leg being clamped on, she squealed in pain but didn't move a muscle of retreat. Instead, she set her snarling and snapping teeth to work trying t grab anything on the face or neck of the dark female, growling and tearing fur as they stumbled along. The sounds of the fight could probably be heard all around, but Fawn didn't know what was going on. The pair of them were turning in circles, flinging blood and fur this way and that. Fawn was trying her hardest to clamp her jaws around the female's eye and forehead, at least partially, but only began to tear flesh from bone.

Cochise drew in breath in pain but didn't cry out at first because of the paw that was firmly lodged in her mouth. It wasn't until she pulled away from Fawn (and lost a good hunk of hair off of her head) that any noise left her dark mouth. From there a forceful growl coupled with a snarl left her as she attempted to jump on the Fielder, missing horribly but still slapping her with a heavy set of feet. She wanted to smash her head in, but Cochise also knew that her feet wouldn't do any good and in turn she drove her head into the side of the hybrid.

As teeth tore from her foot's flesh, Fawn wanted to scream in terror. But instead she tried to focus on the flying beast in front of her, clawing and digging. She felt a sharp pain in her right eye though didnt let herself get carried away by the pain an instead lodged her mouth over something warm and fleshy - Cochise's throat. Though Fawn didn't know it, her jaws were firmly clamped around the ide of the female's throat, also clamping onto the neck with a fierce determination. The she felt a head in the gut and growled again, shoving the wolf off of her side and straightening her previosly curved neck out.

She felt the pressure on her windpipe and something in her gave up for a moment. It was one of those kind of things where something in her wanted to hit rewind and figure out just how in the hell she had gotten into that mess. Out of a freak-out desperate measure Cochise grabbed at whatever piece of skin she could get of Fawn and bit down just as hard as she could, hoping that would be enough to deter the hybrid from closing any tighter into her neck than she had.

Unfortunately for the Ho'nehe, Fawn's instincts drove her to simply crunch on the wind pipe rather than let go, no matter what kind of pain she was in at the time. Fawn struggled for as long as she could before she bit down with all her might, growling finally as she felt the wolf give way slightly beneath her. But then the female rebounded, struggling for her life. Fawn bit down harder, trying to cut off the air supply completely, squeezing her eyes tight in pain and anguish. She wouldn't give up, not ever.
